It seems like the two of us have been very busy talking about 90210 lately. Who could have anticipated that? It has been kinda fun.

I certainly do not feel lingering blame about the storylines!! All the characters on the show kinda went nuts one way or another – bewteen drugs & alcohol & bulimia, bed-hopping etc etc. A show with no drama wouldn’t be on the air very long, would it? But I do think the show was at its most sincere & heartfelt under your watch.

Working on that show was tremendous fun & YOU gave me the opportunity to write, too! I couldn’t be more grateful.

Been awhile — hope you are well; enjoyed reading your comments — glad you kind of left me out of it because you know that the only reason i had to sign off and make Emily the crazy girl was because the network wouldn’t let brandon take the X out of curiosity. always felt bad about that — but nice to know it has spurned talk of mental illness. who knew?

but as for ray pruit, Jamie Walters — the other working class character — that let’s make him a stalker was done after i left. trust me, that plot line wouldn’t have been developed under my watch. i had left the show by that point. the decision to make the blue collar guy the bad was vintage spelling.

Thanks for your comment, Candy! I, too, appreciated her candid answers and I agree that one’s perspective is definitely influenced by how much time has passed. I hope other longtime 90210 watchers can approach her storyline now with a different mentality. She certainly changed mine.

Loved this interview. She was very candid – without seeming to be overly critical of the show/writers/producers – which I appreciate. I do think it’s good that some time has passed since the show originally aired, as life keeps moving along and sometimes our perspective on things change.

I went to her site and there are some truly gorgeous pics there. I definitely recommend other readers check it out.
