About the Name
Parents and prudes, listen up. Don’t freak out about the name! You’re taking it the wrong way. In this context, ‘whore’ doesn’t mean what you think it means. It’s common in pop culture today to be a ‘whore’ of something. Maybe you’re obsessed with shoes – you are a shoewhore. Maybe you’re addicted to clothes – you are a clotheswhore. Whore just describes your total love for something. In yesteryear, the term was junkie – videogame junkie, TV junkie, etc. Today we use whore. We’re desexualizing the word one day (or website) at a time.
I am obsessed with teen dramas. I am a TeenDramaWhore.
About Me
I live on the Upper East Side with my boyfriend, Dylan McKay, but I’m originally from Tree Hill, North Carolina. I frequently rely on Grams and Coach Whitey for advice and my adopted father, Sandy Cohen, to bail me out of tough situations. My best friends, Kelly, Petyon and Summer, all live in different places but we’re still close. There’s always drama but without it, what fun would life be?
Okay, so none of the above is true. Except that last line. In reality, I’m a 23-year-old recent graduate from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. I got hooked on teen dramas at the way-too-young age of 9 and haven’t been able to shake the habit since. With the hours a day I spend watching them and searching the web for any and all info, I realized others can benefit from my obsession. I also have a passion for pop culture in general and a strong dislike of the tabloids, both of which come in handy for my current employment with Gossip Cop. Through it all, I have no doubt I will continue to be a TeenDramaWhore.
Update: I now work for the New York Daily News. I am back at Gossip Cop. This site is on an indefinite hiatus. As of fall 2018, I am the Communications Editor at The N2 Company. In 2020, I relaunched TeenDramaWhore as a Substack newsletter. In 2022, I joined Centerfield Media as Associate Editor for business.com and businessnewsdaily.com.

hah just like you i started watching the teen drama’s around 9 or 10, because of my older sister now i’m addicted, i’ve been through soo many dramas, have all the seasons on dvd, i’ve watched soo many and i’m only 14 haha

I am 24 now so that was a long time ago that I had started watching teen drama’s. I am defintely bookmarking your site so I can come here everyday and read all about my favorite teen drama’s.
Oh my gosh, I just found your site yesterday and I love it! I am a huge teen drama fan! I am thirty years old and can’t find anything else that holds my interest. My biggest indulgence is Dawon’s Creek. I own most of the seasons and will watch them whenever I have time. I don’t know what it is about them. I love the charactors, I love the stories, I love the love triangle, love Pacey Witter and wish he was real(I am happily married but the kid in me has a major crush on him), the music, I love everything about the show. I would love to see a reunion some day. I would give anything to see Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson together again!

I guess you could call me TeenDramaManWhore because I am obsessed too, they are just fun shows and I started watching at 9 or 10 with the original Beverly Hills 92010 when it was in its 6th or 7th season I think That was a great show
