This was the original teen drama and the best out there beverly hills 90210 is a legened. So for anyone to say this show sucked or it was terrible and the new one is better there wouldn’t be a new one without the original. If this show wasn’t any good it wouldn’t have been on for 10 seasons so that should tell you right there how good it was. This show led the way for other teen drama’s to be made so its because of this show that we have gossip girl the oc oth and other shows like that. This show was able to get 90210 remade and do very well in its first season that melrose place is remade for tv now. Its all because of this show that melrose place got remade since they saw how well the new 90210 was doing it was decided to make the new melrose place. So Beverly Hills 90210 is still and always will be the best teen drama out there since it was the original one.
I agree with you Aimee, you took my thoughts for the Granddaddy of all the teen dramas. It defined a generation and set a standard for generations to come.

This show is legend. It is the best teen drama that there ever was. If not, why would we still be discussing it 20 years later? If not, why would soapnet get such good ratings when the show is on that they keep it on 3 or 4 times a day? I love this show…it’s part of me. And let me just say that I love Brenda and Dylan. I also loved Kelly and Dylan in high school but not after. I hate Kelly and Donna after season 4. They were both incredibly self rightous. Loved Brenda, loved Val, loved Gina, loved Janet. Always hated those two…it happened somewhere during the college years…but I did live Kelly on coke:)

I agree with those saying this show is a legend, yes, all the seasons were not great but it is a great show and the new 90210 doesn’t compare, I like the new version but the original stills holds up. When I rate the teen shows that I have seen, this is the top 5 list.

I love this show, and I think people who actually dont like it have a problem with good emotional writing and topics outside OH MY GOSH! and OH EM GEE, or whatever…i don’t know, but, NEW TEEN DRAMAS don’t seem “smart” enough or want to make people “aware” about the social, economical, and world problems happening in our world today, when this ORIGINAL talked about them, and maybe its because I grew up in LA (Pasadena) not beverly hills, but I am still friends with the friends i’ve known since I was 5, that makes it 22 years…i am connected. But younger people “seem” to love instant gratification and being “dumb” when I was younger intelligents was applauded, now being “cute” and “oh my gosh? What?” I didnt know what to write there because I don’t know what that is…Don’t trash a show because of the “acting” either, because SMART ASS, each decade of television brings different types of acting, and the 1990s had amazing, beautiful BUT cheesy acting
