10 Years Ago Today…

17 05 2010

Beverly Hills 90210, the very first teen drama, went off the air.

I may not have been watching when the show premiered on October 4, 1990 but I was glued to the television during the series finale on May 17, 2000.

Today, even just rewatching these promos, which counted down to the finale, brings me to tears.

But when the finale finished airing, when the credits rolled, I wasn’t crying.

I just sat there in silent awe.

When One Tree Hill starts tonight at 8pm and when Gossip Girl ends at 10pm, I hope you’ll join me in a moment of silence for the show that started it all.

That was beautiful. So friggin’ beautiful!! I wasn’t even 7 when the last episode premiered, so needless to say I don’t remember this nor did I watch it at the time, but I have become so attached to “Beverly Hills, 90210” that I get emotional every time I watch one of those promos. And then I kick myself for not having watched it live!

Shari, those were awesome! I or course was around when BH90210 premiered and went off the air, and I vaguely remember seeing the promos, but it was so great to see them all again. They gave me the chills and brought tears to my eyes, and the series finale was the BEST! If the One Tree Hill Series Finale and promos are even half as good, I will be happy.

Thanks for putting up the promos, I loved them. 🙂

Aww! Thank you for sharing. I remember watching the finale with my best friend my junior year of high school. Those finales are wonderful – I agree with Vicki, if they did this for One Tree Hill, I would be thrilled.

On another note, thanks for your site! I love it. I spent a several hours over a few days earlier this year going through your archives. I watch(ed) all of the shows you cover here, so this site is a real treat for me. 🙂

thanks for those clips! it was sad day for me to say goodbye to my favorite show from my childhood. They don’t makes shows like this anymore. it had something magic to it. I still miss it. Wish they would have a reunion episode with all the cast.
