RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
I really liked Adam Gregory as 90210‘s Ty and feel that he was very underused. Do you know if he will come back? — Erik
MICKEY:
Ty will be back! In what capacity? Let’s just say this: My pregnant friend and her husband received T-shirts as Hanukkah presents. Hers says “knocked up”; his, “baby daddy.” Guess what Ty’s would say? (It’s more complicated than you think.)

I’ve been hearing that this is the last season of One Tree Hill. True? — Yassmina
MATT:
That’s certainly not the vibe I’m getting whenever I check in with my sources at the CW and Warner Bros. Far from it, actually.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: Any new news about the Veronica Mars movie? If not, some Gossip Girl scoop is perfectly acceptable. — Amy
Ausiello:
Gossip Girl scoop it is! Word around the UES is that Serena will soon share something in common with Anne Hathaway. And garnering Oscar buzz ain’t it.

Question: About Lily and Rufus’ kid on Gossip Girl: another site said it was a boy and he died. Is that true? — Hanna
Ausiello:
Only half of it.

Question: I need to know more about Gossip Girl, please! I’ll give my entire Smurf collection! — Ali
Ausiello:
I have a sneaking suspicion that Chuck’s mother is alive. Anyone else share my hunch?

Question: Do you have any news on One Tree Hill? We heard that Mark Schwahn had asked The CW for a decision on season 7 by 1 January so that he could write an appropriate season ending. — Nathan
Ausiello:
Not Jan. 1, but a decision will be made soon. It’s all about contracts now. The cast only signed six-year pacts, so new deals will have to be brokered. Negotiations are happening as we speak.

Lee Norris Interview

6 01 2009

I’ve rarely seen interviews with Lee Norris (though I did get to do one myself last spring!) so this is a pleasant surprise.  To make it even better, it’s pretty in-depth.

Fun fact: he still gets recognized as Stuart Minkus, his character on Boy Meets World!

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Gretchen in Litchfield, Conn.: Did you hear? Your frenemy Ausiello says they are going to bring that be-yotch Georgina back to Gossip Girl!
Shut the front door! Back in early December, I also reported plans to bring back Georgina toward the end of this season, and FYI, that’s what I’m still hearing—and not just from my sworn frenemy. I still think she’s the most solid candidate for the spinoff, BTW. But you didn’t hear that from me!

Gregory in Overland Park, Kan.: Any word on Gossip Girl?
Lily gets attacked—by someone she knows. Guesses? Also, Bart’s will will be read and stir up trouble.

Randall in Tucson, Ariz.: How about some dish on One Tree Hill! Give it up, sister!
Yes, brotha. According to sources, Brooke and Julian go on a date. Also, Millicent tells Brooke she slept with Owen.

Monday Night Reaction

5 01 2009

GOSSIP GIRL

  • Since when do they themselves post on Gossip Girl?  I thought the whole point of her blog was that SHE posts!
  • Creative to not introduce Uncle Jack in the typical way.  Felt slighted, though, like something was missing.
  • Fair to assume Jack and Blair had a New Year’s Eve fling?
  • Serena and Dan were surprisingly cute…but it won’t last, I can promise you that. Why tease viewers? Because putting couples together and tearing them apart again is a teen drama staple.
  • So the secret lovechild is a boy, as many people were guessing.

ONE TREE HILL

  • If it’s late in LA when Peyton calls Lucas, how late is it in Tree Hill?  North Carolina is in an earlier time zone!
  • She’s preggers.  Duh.  I love how excited and cute they were!
  • Haley wants dibs on godmother…and yet she made Brooke Jamie’s.  Fair?  I don’t think so.
  • Jack’s brother is ridiculously creepy.
  • Victoria could still be behind the mugging, right?  At least the sketch-stealing part.  She could’ve hired Jack’s creepy brother.
  • Never saw it coming that that was Julian’s dad.
  • Andre and Julian are adorable.  And tragic.
  • His question (is Julian really just after Peyton) is my question, too!
  • Number 12 is just as good as 23…I guess.
  • Yay Chase!  No Chase and Mia!
  • Could do without the Mouth and Millicent storyline.
  • Why did they never show Owen’s SlamBall injury?
  • Sophia Bush was super-impressive tonight.  I was just blown away and I really like the way the story unfolded, particularly the ending.

RANDOM

  • Surprisingly, there weren’t too many 90210 promos.  I only counted two.
  • One Tree Hill wins the promo war for next week (aka got me more excited than Gossip Girl).  Agree?

Site of the Week: One Tree Hill Blog

5 01 2009

One Tree Hill Blog is just a year old but has quickly become a favorite of mine.

Run by two sisters, the site compiles all the One Tree Hill press, spoilers and related info into one site.  They have so much quality (and sometimes rare!) information, from where they’re filming and when, to the ratings of each episode.

My favorite time to visit the site is late Monday nights.  The site live blogs during each new episode, and then posts an entertaining reaction and comprehensive list of music featured and other cool info.  Plus, you can check out their sister site, OTH Blog Chat, to chat with other fans (and sometimes stars like Joe Manganiello who plays Owen!) as the show airs.

Also be sure to check out their OTH History Spreadsheet which is the best resource I’ve seen to track all the relationships on the show.

New episodes tonight!
