  • Peyton’s car may or may not be for sale on eBay.  Unclear if this is legit or not.

Today we wrap up the countdown of the top 10 teen drama musical guests!

2. No Doubt (Dawson’s Creek, Episode 6.13: Spiderwebs)

The whole gang ends up at a No Doubt concert where punches are thrown, the cops are called and love actually blossoms.

1. Fall Out Boy (One Tree Hill, Episode 3.04: An Attempt to Tip the Scales)

This is the first of Fall Out Boy’s two appearances, although Pete Wentz is written into the show’s plot and comes back as Peyton’s love interest.

RELEVANT PARTS

As one life ends, another begins. Except on TV, where no one ever really dies and the number of surprise babies corresponds directly with the stunted creativity of a show’s writing staff. (Looking at you, 90210.) what we’re saying is this week’s Top Moments include plenty of doom — but also glimmers of hope.

12. Harshest Embrace: “I’m Chuck Bass!” yells the Gossip Girl bad boy, as he thinks about jumping from a ledge. “And no one cares.” No one, that is, except Blair, who coaxes him into her arms. But what other Bass have they held? Chuck’s uncle (who we childishly call Jack Ass, because it rhymes with “Bass,”) later reminds Blair that Chuck must never learn what happened between them. 11. Littlest Scandal: Oh snap — One Tree Hill returns from winter break to shockingly reveal that Peyton and Luke are… having a baby! And that they’re… totally cool with it. Oh. Well good for them, then. Moving right along.

Monday Night Reaction

GOSSIP GIRL

  • Since when do they themselves post on Gossip Girl?  I thought the whole point of her blog was that SHE posts!
  • Creative to not introduce Uncle Jack in the typical way.  Felt slighted, though, like something was missing.
  • Fair to assume Jack and Blair had a New Year’s Eve fling?
  • Serena and Dan were surprisingly cute…but it won’t last, I can promise you that. Why tease viewers? Because putting couples together and tearing them apart again is a teen drama staple.
  • So the secret lovechild is a boy, as many people were guessing.

ONE TREE HILL

  • If it’s late in LA when Peyton calls Lucas, how late is it in Tree Hill?  North Carolina is in an earlier time zone!
  • She’s preggers.  Duh.  I love how excited and cute they were!
  • Haley wants dibs on godmother…and yet she made Brooke Jamie’s.  Fair?  I don’t think so.
  • Jack’s brother is ridiculously creepy.
  • Victoria could still be behind the mugging, right?  At least the sketch-stealing part.  She could’ve hired Jack’s creepy brother.
  • Never saw it coming that that was Julian’s dad.
  • Andre and Julian are adorable.  And tragic.
  • His question (is Julian really just after Peyton) is my question, too!
  • Number 12 is just as good as 23…I guess.
  • Yay Chase!  No Chase and Mia!
  • Could do without the Mouth and Millicent storyline.
  • Why did they never show Owen’s SlamBall injury?
  • Sophia Bush was super-impressive tonight.  I was just blown away and I really like the way the story unfolded, particularly the ending.

RANDOM

  • Surprisingly, there weren’t too many 90210 promos.  I only counted two.
  • One Tree Hill wins the promo war for next week (aka got me more excited than Gossip Girl).  Agree?
