What if One Tree Hill’s Haley and Clay got together?

I said I wouldn’t be in favor of that and I don’t think it would happen, anyway.
But it got me thinking.
What unlikely pairings would you like to see or have seen on any of the TDs?
Someone recently suggested Seth and Marissa (The O.C.) to me and that just blew me away…and not in a good way.
So, other faithful readers, what are your picks?

I would really like to see Dan and Blair from Gossip Girl. They have that snappy banter chemistry that Chuck and her have, but I think they could be more interesting.
I think most people would say “no way!” to that but people said that to Pacey and Joey at first, too. It has a lot of potential, if done right. I just don’t have faith in Josh Schwartz at this point to do it well. He would do it for shock value, as a short arc, a la Jenny and Nate.
Yeah, that’s what I miss most about the WB. The shows during that time rarely had relationships purely for shock value and the build up was much more intimate and meaningful. I miss Dawson’s Creek-esque love stories 😦
I agree, though I think One Tree Hill has done a good job of them and I can only hope they’ll continue to.
By the way, there’s a ton of Dan-Blair videos on YouTube.
Sorry I mean you know what would be weird?? Ryan and Summer in the oc! Some couples would be just wrong! And there are loads of like fan vids for this ship as well

Izzie, I deleted your first comment since it didn’t work right. Ryan and Summer is a suggestion I’ve heard before. I’ve noticed videos for it but haven’t actually watched them. It sounds strange to me but Ryan and Taylor did, too. Again, done right, it could work. (Though I don’t think Ryan and Taylor completely worked, though there are a lot of fans for them).
Brittnay, my first reaction to your suggestion was WOAH! But I stepped back and rationalized it a bit: they aren’t related by blood and stranger things could happen, I suppose. But I think most people would be turned off, seeing as they were raised as brother and sister. On the other hand, Brothers & Sisters did something sort of similar (they weren’t raised as siblings, though, just thought they were later on) and there’s also Gossip Girl’s now-twisted relationship with Dan and Serena. Hmm. Would love to see 90210’s EP answer a question about this.
I don’t like the sibling couples. It’s disgusting no matter if there is no blood relation. I extremely dislike Dan and Serena and although I’m not that big a fan of 90210 Dixon and Annie would make me stop watching for good.

Strange as it sounds, I would love to see Silver and Mr. Matthews (Ryan) date. Silver is rather mature for her age, and during her ‘I want to be a filmaker’ phase, her and Ryan really did well together during the scenes they had. Although she did eventually go crazy on him, I think it could work. Storyline wise, it would make for some serious drama between Silver and sister Kelly. Just a thought….

g90210th: I actually like that idea! I can see it working as a forbidden love thing–they know they shouldn’t, they know they can’t, but the connection is there and overtime they slowly fall for each other and try to resist it until they can’t. And if it’s going to be him and any of the girls, Silver makes the most sense. I know this was one of the original plans (not necessarily with Silver) when the show was first cast and doing interviews (I did one of the interviews). I don’t know if they’d go this route now, though, seeing as Ryan has already gotten in trouble for a student-teacher relationship–even though that wasn’t really the case.
Oh yes, I forgot about the undercover cop! Still, I will secretly be rooting for ‘Milver’ lol. On that note, I’ve been wondering…if they choose Ryan to do the cross-over into Melrose, will it really work seeing as how Jessica Lucas plays Riley on Mel’s and also played the undercover cop on 90210?? Its been on my mind for a while as to how that will work if a cross-over does happen with Ryan….
Milver. Too funny. I vaguely remember an article or interview addressing the Jessica Lucas conflict (specifically, that it would be weird and remained unclear if & how it would be handled) but I can’t remember where it was.
i think a weird pairing from the oc wouldve been katelyn and ryan, i wouldnt have liked the idea but yknow,
also when you said seth and marissa i think it wouldve also been odd if ryan and summer got together. i know she liked him first in the beginning but still t wouldnt have been right
also i completly agree with you over the dan/blair thing. if it was done right it would be really good but josh schwartz wouldnt be able to do it right ! i would honestly love to see dan and blair, i think it would be hilarious
ok, i know im commenting a lot but i just thought of this;
julie and frank atwood had a child together at the end of the oc. what if marissa didnt die and her and ryan were still together.. that meant they wouldve shared a half brother. i know its a lot of “what if’s” but how do you think that wouldve been ?
Becky, comment as much as you want! That’s an interesting question about Julie and Frank/Ryan and Marissa. I don’t think it would be dissimilar to the awkwardness but stronger friendship we’re seeing now on Gossip Girl with Dan and Serena. In fact, in many ways, I think the two couples have a lot in common.
