I probably should be excommunicated for saying this but I am becoming more and more intrigued by a Clay-Haley pairing on One Tree Hill.
When Alyssa first told me people were already shipping them, I was shocked.
Naley is endgame. Duh.
But this Claley video in particular got me thinking that it wouldn’t be so bad to at least explore it.
Keep Naley in the end but, in the meantime, Claley is quite intriguing.
To me, anyway.

WOW. I would have never have even considered Haley with anyone but Nathan, but I am so into this vid! I think it would make for an interesting plotline to have Clay & Haley get together! How would their relationship come about if it ever happened? Hmmm….
I haven’t thought it out specifically but I envision it as something that starts on the emotional level and is really drawn out that way over a semi-long time so it builds and builds (I think Dawson’s Creek did this really well with Joey and Pacey over the course of season 3). They connect, resist and eventually give in. She then eventually realizes her wrongs and somehow how Nathan forgives her and they work it out.
I think it’s safe to assume this will never happen but it is intriguing. I think there’s a lot of chemistry there.
If this were to happen I see it as starting from a friendship level. Haley needs somone to confide in about her music or about Nathan travelling because of basketball, then the connection they make kind of gets a little more intense 😉
I like Clay/Haley too. One of my favorite AU couples on One Tree Hill. I loved their chemistry in the beach scene! I don’t like Quinn so I don’t want to see Clay and Quinn together 😉
if nathan was dead and buried, than maybe. but as long as nathan is alive, no way.
