This is going to be a totally random connection and I don’t know if it’s considered six degrees, but Joaquin Phoenix’s family was part of the Children of God cult with Rose McGowan’s family, and Rose was in “Charmed” with Shannen Doherty (Brenda, BH 90210).
Joaquin was in walk the line with Ginnifer Goodwin, who was in He’s just not that into you with Kevin Connolly, who was in Entourage with Leighton Meester (Blair, GG)

Alexis, good job connecting to He’s Just Not That Into You, which is one of those films with a large ensemble cast and endless connections. Of course none are jumping out at me right now but I know we’ve discussed some in the past. For now I’ll just add that Autumn Reeser (Taylor) also appeared on Entourage (and will again soon) and Connolly was in The Notebook, which has several connections we’ve previously discussed as well.
Rose McGowan was in Jawbreaker with Rebecca Gayheart who played Toni on BH 90210.
Rebecca also played Dana on What I Like About You which has all of those 90210 connections that have been gone over in the past.
I can’t believe I overlooked the Jawbreaker connection! I used to be a big fan of that film.

completely unrelated but yesterday i went back and added one to the Denzel Washington six degrees. he was in john q and people made references to that movie but we all completely forgot that paul johansson was in it! sorry i was just watching it yesterday and that popped into my head.
Joaquin Phoenix was in SpaceCamp with Lea Thompson who was in Some Kind of Wonderful with Craig Sheffer(Keith, One Tree Hill). One of One Tree Hill’s storylines from the 80s episode was based off this movie, too.
Phoenix was also in Ladder 49 with Jacinda Barrett who was in The Last Kiss which also featured Rachel Bilson(Summer, The OC). Billy Burke was also in Ladder 49. He is in the Twilight movies which has a lot of connections that people have brought up in the past. He is also in Gilmore Girls as Alex and that show connects to a lot of teen dramas.
Joaquin Phoenix was in Gladiator with Russell Crowe who looks just like Ryan Atwood!

Joaquin Phoenix’s sister is married to Casey Affleck who is in the Ocean’s Eleven movies with Elliot Gould who played Ross/Monica’s dad on Friends. Friends had plenty of guest stars that you could connect..but Dylan/Cole Sprouse played Ross’s son and they were also in Big Daddy with Adam Sandler who is in Funny People with Jason Schwartzman, the founder of the band that sang The OC’s theme song. Jason Schwartzman’s little brother is the lead singer of Rooney, who also made an appearance in a season one episode of The O.C.
