RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Kelly in Austin, Texas: Can you talk about the 90210 premiere and where things are when it returns?
Better yet, well let Michael Steger (Navid) fill you in: “It starts off strongly with Naomi’s character dealing with how it left off the season finale,” referring of course to the perceived rape in the season finale. And as for that sicko teacher, Michael says: “It’s a pretty intense storyline, and he’s still around.” Still very much around, we’re hearing.

Reggie: Is it true that one of the main guys will be gay on 90210 this season?
Yes, it is.

Nevin in Atlanta: Good lord, True Blood is offing people left and right! Can you tell us what’s coming up next?
You’ve probably heard 90210‘s Michael Steger is stopping by True Blood later this season, and this new gig is a far cry from his West Bev sleuth. “I’m a drug runaway who has a very interesting trade that feeds into his drug addiction and his lifestyle.,” Michael tells us. “It’s a really dark youth and he’s just a lost soul. I meet the King of Mississippi, and I resemble his love of 700 years. They have an interesting chemistry.” Whoa, whoa, whoa—what about Talbot?!

What’s the buzz on ‘90210’s return? – SDion
I’ve seen the next few episodes kicking off March 9, and it’s BAU for the West Bev crowd. Dixon and Silver are stymied by miscommunication, Naomi pulls a Claire Dunphy (think trenchcoat) but with slightly less disastrous results, Rumer Willis’ character is on the receiving end of an unexpected kiss, and poor Annie is mired in a sorrowful dilemma. Meanwhile, I can see why Jennie Garth is on her way out – a Lonely Heart Kelly Taylor is frankly hard to swallow.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Since Jennie Garth has said she’s not on “90210” anymore, does that mean we won’t see Kelly ever again? -Jessie
No, actually, I know for sure that Jennie will appear in at least one more episode scheduled for early next month. Rob Estes, who is also exiting the show, will be around for the remainder of the season though.

Will Naomi’s evil sister be back on “90210” or are we finally rid of her now that she’s been exposed? -PK
Oh no. We have not seen the last of Jen (Sara Foster). She’ll most certainly be back and hiding something new. Something big.

Give me some good Liam gossip! -Kate
His biological dad is going to swing into town and set some drama in motion.

Any “90210” scoop? -Perry
New couple alert. Two West Bev students — both of whom were way into other characters last we saw them — will start seeing each other when the show returns.

Notes:

This supports what I’ve said about Jennie all along.

We already knew about Liam and his biological dad, because we knew in December that Scott Patterson was cast in the role.

I think the “two West Bev students” are Ivy and Dixon.

Got any more details on Madchen Amick’s role as Mac’s new love interest on CSI: NY? — Clarisse
ADAM:
As a matter of fact I do. “[She and Mac] will bump into each other, literally,” executive producer Pam Veasey tells me. “She is a hospital ER doctor, and we will visit her workplace many times.” Look for Mac’s first visit to the hospital to take place on March 10.

What crazy things will Phil do next on Modern Family? — Amy
MICKEY:
Last week Julie Bowen teased some sexytime between Claire and Phil, but she tells us there might be one obstacle: Facebook. “My husband has ex-girlfriends who get in touch with him and I have ex-boyfriends that get in touch with me, and we laugh about it. This being Modern Family though, it’s going to take a twist for the worse,” she says. That twist is the always enjoyable Judy Greer, who pops in to play Phil’s unstable ex. This reminds me of that time that I reconnected with that girl from the gym who taught me how to stretch. Oh wait, that wasn’t Facebook. Never mind!

I’m thinking about dropping 90210 from my TiVo lineup. Say something to stop me from doing so. — Alexa
MICKEY:
If you were unhappy with the mix of story lines in the fall episodes, imagine putting them all in a blender, leaving the cover off and hitting pulse a few times. Sure, some of your West Bev smoothie will spill out the top (never to be heard from again), but what’s left inside the blender will recombine familiar ingredients in new and interesting ways. The romantics in the hizzy might enjoy the unexpected pairings planned for the spring run.

I can’t believe Damages killed Tom! Any more bombshells coming? — Katelyn
ADAM:
Boy, are there! Look for two juicy reveals in the next episode, which present possible motives for Tom’s murder. The first causes Tom to take a personal interest in the Tobin case and may also lead to the second. “Ellen starts to help me out in my quest [for revenge],” Tate Donovan tells me, “and things start to develop in a complicated, interesting way. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Madchen Amick played Catherine on Gossip Girl and Nicole on Dawson’s Creek.

Julie Bowen played Aunt Gwen on Dawson’s Creek.

Tate Donovan played Jimmy on The O.C.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

90210“! What can you tell me about my Kelly Taylor? She’s not getting back with Ryan, is she? -Elisabeth
Not anytime soon, no. Ryan’s preoccupied with that witch, Jen Clark, right now. Kelly, however, has a new crush too. Seems her rumored feelings for Harry Wilson are the real thing. I’m told K.T. will big time struggle with her attraction to West Bev’s married principal this fall.

Thanks for the scoop on Jackie Taylor returning to “90210.” I am definitely one of the old school fans who thinks the more veteran characters, the better! -Renay
I feel you on that. Unfortunately, I’m hearing everyone’s favorite former TV cokehead may not be long for this world. Word is, Jackie Taylor is sick. Very, very sick. And I guess she just really wants to reconcile with her daughters before it’s too late.

Good work on the “One Tree Hill” interview with Mark Schwahn and Sophia Bush. I was so sure that Rachel and Dan were going to be together and have a baby, but I’m really relieved to hear that’s not happening. -Sal
Yeah, Mark definitely said the Rachel-Dan baby scenario is untrue. But that doesn’t mean Rachel and Dan won’t be together. Actually, I’m pretty sure they’ll be sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G this season…

***

Need to vent: I *hate* how they’ve ruined the Jackie Taylor character. On the original show, her drug addiction was for part of the very first season. For the next nine seasons, she was completely clean and a supportive mom to Kelly and Erin. I hate how the new show changed that, essentially rewriting history. They’ve done this was many characters/stories now.  Every time, it’s such an insult to longtime fans and the show’s now-almost 20-year-history.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: they should’ve left the original stories the way they had ended.

Any 90210 scoop for me? -Trish
A show source tells me The CW series is looking for a celeb dresser to help West Bev’s finest get all dolled up for prom this spring. Apparently the network’s first choice was star stylist Rachel Zoe, but she isn’t available. Any thoughts on who should play the part instead? I say Carson Kressley, obvs…
