Also in the article, the TV critic says GG is a “slam-dunk” to come back next season and there’s also an Aaron Spelling (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210) reference.

I’ve known for a long time that Gossip Girl has too much hype for a show without a lot of substance, but it’s hitting new lows. Why is it SUCH a big deal that Chuck and Blair are hitting a rough patch? OMG two characters on a drama are having …. drama! The nerve of those writers to have the characters go through such awful situations.
I like the show, but all this false hype is annoying and has starting putting me off the show.

Lol I think I needed to vent about that for a sec because everyone is freaking out. It’s like have you never watched a television show before? Characters break-up ALL the time. I would be more worried if they didn’t have problems.
I’m with you. It makes you wonder about the viewers and the media that feeds them. (I guess I’m part of that latter group. Oops.)
