17 08 2010RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Jorja in Boise, Idaho: Loved the Scrubs–Cougar Town casting scoop! Any other stars interested in coming on the show?
Well, Bill Lawrence has asked his cast if they have any friends who want to guest star, and Busy Philipps tells her famous bestie may be on board! “Michelle Williams and I were talking about how hilarious it would be if she came on and played my sister,” she laughs. “I don’t think her agents are going to go for it though.” Um, we are! A Dawson’s Creek reunion is long overdue, don’tcha think? I wonder what that Joey girl is up to?
Benny in Rhode Island: On Gossip Girl, what’s the deal with Serena’s new love interest? Does this mean Serena-Dan and Serena-Nate are over?
I’m told that the Dan-Serena-Nate triangle is definitely not over. The new squeeze is played by Sam Page and he isn’t the kind of guy she usually dates. Thoughts? Which guy are you rooting for?
On 90210, can you say who the guy who is going to come out of the closet is? Will he have a love interest? Also, what’s up with the rapist teacher guy? Is he out?
No, I can’t name the gay character (sorry—I’m glad you asked, but I can’t tell!) but I can tell you he definitely will have a love interest, and actor Kyle Riabko has been cast to fill the tole. As for Mr. Cannon, I’m told he’ll be Silver’s senior advisor. Dun dun dun.
Brandon: Anything else on 90210?
How about an Entourage-ish crossover? Naomi is going throw a crazy-lavish 18th birthday party early in the season and Adrian Grenier‘s band Honey Brothers has officially been named the house band. Pretty cool, huh?
Heather: Anything on True Blood? Will Joe Manganiello be back on One Tree Hill at all?
He told us he’d love to, and he has the space in his schedule, but I’m told there’s no talk right now of him returning, sorry! But at least you get to seen him scantily clad in an upcoming ep of True Blood…Which some of you probably won’t hate.
Zach in Santa Clara, Calif.: What is the deal with the two universes on Fringe and what does it mean for Joshua Jackson that Peter doesn’t have an alternate?
You can file this under no good, very bad news: Josh is only in every other episode. The artist formerly known as Pacey Witter himself told us he isn’t in the season premiere and he’s not in any of the odd-numbered episodes. Blasphemy! Why are the powers that be doing this to us, you ask? We spoke with his co-star Lance Reddick who spilled that, “Every other episode is going to be either one universe or the other. So, they’re going to be alternating universes at least for the first half of the season.” On the bright side, at least Josh now has more time to plan next year’s Pacey-Con, and that upcoming guest stint on The Vampire Diaries.

Notes:
Busy Philipps, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson all starred on Dawson’s Creek as Audrey, Jen and Pacey, respectively. And Joey was played by Katie Holmes.

- The CW Sourcies have begun and the first category is Best Kiss. From our shows, you can vote for Adrianna and Navid’s reunion kiss in the 90210 season finale or Haley and Nathan’s kiss in the One Tree Hill season finale after she reveals she’s pregnant.
- SoapNet made a few changes to the Sunday teen drama schedule: The O.C. is getting two additional hours, now airing from 6-9am while Beverly Hills 90210 airs from 9am to 1pm and One Tree Hill from 3pm to 7pm. I’ve updated their show pages to reflect this.
- MTV spoke with Kevin Zegers (Damien, Gossip Girl) about his upcoming film schedule, including The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, which will also star Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl).
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was on the Today Show this morning.
- Mekia Cox (Sasha, 90210) was cast in Undercovers, a new NBC series.
- Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) will co-host The View tomorrow, the same day her book uncharted terriTORI is released. I am planning to go to her book signing tomorrow night.
- An excerpt from uncharted terriTORI was posted on the Today Show site.
- Paul Johansson (Dan, One Tree Hill) is directing and starring in an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
- SoapNet has a new One Tree Hill quiz called Test Your Dan Scott I.Q. I scored a 90 percent and was told “YOU’RE DANGEROUS! You know too much about Dan Scott for his comfort. Arm yourself, or take a page out of Abby Brown’s book and hightail it out of Tree Hill before he confronts you” but I don’t think all the answers are accurate.

20 05 2010- Coverage of The CW upfront with interviews and/or commentary: Zap2it, Zap2it again, E!, TV Guide, Variety, MTV, The San Francisco Chronicle and TV By The Numbers. There will likely be more tomorrow. I decided not to post stories that were only regurgitations of the press release. Seemed like a waste of my time and yours.
- The Los Angeles Times confirmed my speculation that Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) has been promoted to a series regular.
- Gossip Cop busted yesterday’s rumor about Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) dating her Blue Valentine co-star Ryan Gosling.
- Joshua Jackson (Pacey, Dawson’s Creek) is interested in a Fringe-Vampire Diaries cross-over, which would re-team him with Kevin Williamson (creator, Dawson’s Creek) who is the EP on TVD.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girl and More
14 05 2010- Media Life has an interesting article on state of The CW, its success in the past year (including why Gossip Girl and 90210 are considered successful when their total live audience numbers suggest otherwise) and how it might approach the 2010-2011 season. The article also says there is speculation both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected will return, which is the same speculation we heard yesterday. And let me put emphasis on the word “speculation.”
- Kristin also reports that OTH and LUX could get a 12 or 13 episode order but cautions “no final decisions have been made.”
- Gossip Cop and I busted a Hollywood Life story claiming Torrey DeVitto (Carrie, One Tree Hill) and Paul Wesley (Donnie, The O.C.) “got secretly married.” They haven’t.
- Generation Y, featuring Daniella Alonso (Anna, One Tree Hill), has been ordered as a series by ABC.
- NBC ordered three series with teen drama connections: Friends With Benefits, starring Danneel Harris (Rachel, One Tree Hill), Outlaw, previously called Justice and created by John Eisendrath (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210), and Harry’s Law, previously called Kindreds and featuring Brittany Snow (Young Lily, Gossip Girl).
- Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) worked with Soles4Souls today to aid those affected in Nashville by the floods.
- Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) received the Sparkling Performance Award at last night’s Young Hollywood Awards, which were also attended by Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210), Snow, Wesley and Nikki Reed (Sadie, The O.C.) and possibly other teen drama stars.
- Stroup has a new pixie haircut and spoke to PEOPLE.com about it.
- Gossip Cop busted rumors that Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) are back together. They are NOT…but anything is possible down the road.
- NBC canceled Mercy, which starred Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina, Gossip Girl) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek).
- PEOPLE.com reports Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) is in “active negotiations” to play Marilyn Monroe in a movie.
- If you were a fan of The WB–and I imagine you were if you’re a Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill fan–I highly encourage you to check out this roundup of promos from the network, featuring those casts and many other teen drama stars. It’s a chillingly beautiful trip down memory lane.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and More
12 05 2010- Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week, including a look at the making of Carry You Home.
- Last night’s 90210 (million viewers) increased a teeny tiny bit in the ratings compared to last week when you look at the raw numbers (1.429 vs. 1.449).
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was named Sexiest Beach Body and Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) was named Sexiest Actress in Victoria Secret’s annual What Is Sexy? list. Zap2it is wondering why Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) didn’t make the list.
- There’s a new Talking Gossip After Dark podcast, featuring my usual contribution.
- The CW sent out a press release formally announcing that the show will film its first two episodes of season 4 in Paris with Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl), Lively and Chuck (Ed Westwick, Gossip Girl). I guess A) actually filming overseas and B) having a male character go, too, are two ways to differentiate it from the Beverly Hills 90210 Paris episodes. I’ll save my snarkiness for next time.
- If you missed the live Q & A with Everly, featuring Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley, One Tree Hill), last night, you can watch the archived version.
- Look To The Stars has an interview with Jackson Brundage, mostly about charity and his work with CURED.
- The full video for Alicia Keys’ Un-Thinkable, featuring Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill) is now available. I love it!
- Lindsay McKeon (Taylor, One Tree Hill) appears in a commercial for Miller Light.
- No Ordinary Family, starring Autumn Reeser (Taylor, The O.C.) and Tate Donovan (Jimmy, The O.C.) and executive produced by Greg Berlanti (writer-producer, Dawson’s Creek), has been ordered as a series by ABC.
- The Frisky has a fun look at what they say are the 10 Best Looks for Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek).

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, The O.C. and More
30 04 2010- SoapNet is making some significant schedule changes regarding its teen drama lineup. Beginning tomorrow, May 1, One Tree Hill will air for two additional hours on Saturdays, now going from 9am til 1pm. Beverly Hills 90210 has been pushed back to 1pm and will go til 5. Sunday remains unchanged. Then, as of Monday, May 3, The O.C. will only air at 1pm, losing its second hour. One Tree Hill will move an hour earlier, airing at 2pm and 3pm. Beverly Hills 90210 will keep the 11am and noon slots but will now also have 4pm, in addition to their current 5pm slot. That hour, which started airing the show from the beginning in November after the network took away the 6pm timeslot, will repeat the noon episode (and the 4pm slot will repeat the 11am episode). That means though we’re currently in season 4 during the 5pm hour, it will pick up with the middle of season 10, which is what’s currently airing in the morning. The individual show pages above have been updated to reflect these changes.
- The CW has announced who will be participating in their Tweet Week and when: Robert Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill) will tweet Monday at 8pm eastern. Josh Schwartz (executive producer, Gossip Girl) and Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, Gossip Girl) will tweet Monday at 9pm eastern. Shenae Grimes (Annie, 90210), Michael Steger (Navid, 90210), Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210) and Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) will tweet Tuesday at 8pm eastern. All of this will take place at tweet.cwtv.com.
- Jackson Brundage (Jamie, One Tree Hill) will be a part of CURED’s charity event tomorrow in Illinois.
- One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and 90210 are all included in TVGuide.com’s photogallery of Must-Watch Finales.
- TVGuide.com named Annie’s fountain scene in this week’s 90210 the “oddest reaction” in their list of Top Moments of the Week. I disagree.
- Latina.com has a great but spoiler-filled interview with Diego Boneta (Javier, 90210).
- Lindsay Price (Janet, Beverly Hills 90210), Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl) and Busy Philipps (Audrey, Dawson’s Creeks) are in the “Beautiful At Every Age” section of PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful issue. Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) is in the online version but also in the “Hot List” section of the issue. Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210), Jessica Lowndes (Adrianna, 90210) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) are in the “Beautiful Jessicas” section. Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) is in the “Amazing Lookalikes” section.
- At work today, Gossip Cop and I busted a Star cover story about Katie Holmes (Joey, Dawson’s Creek).
