Reader Submission: YouTube Video of the Week

22 08 2010

Lexy submitted this Dawson’s Creek video, writing “I like it because I like the song and the show…but the whole time I think of Nathan and Haley” from One Tree Hill.

She recommends we “check out all [the] other vids” by this user, as “they are almost all teen drama and all amazing.”

Spoiler: The Big Tease

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Do you have any sweet ‘90210′ scoop? – Bryan
A yearbook video shoot will reveal the innermost dreams of many a character, as well as set the stage for one of the gang to experiment with (anvil alert?!) a prescription drug.

Enough about ‘One Tree Hill’s Clay/Quinn – gimme some Naley scoop! – TheMegster23 via Twitter
(Watch me fake out TheMegster here.) A source tells me that the shooting of Clay and Quinn… will have a major impact on Nathan and Haley’s lives. The good news is that – as that duo always does – they will face the hard times together, finding strength in one another.

Notes:

Seriously, 90210? Have you seen One Tree Hill before? And have you seen your own show? Another character with a drug issue?! C’mon!

Seriously, Fancast? You call that Naley “scoop”?! C’mon!

Happy Birthday James Lafferty and Shantel VanSanten!

25 07 2010

Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill) and VanSanten (Quinn, One Tree Hill) both turn 25 today!

Nathan and Quinn had few scenes just the two of them this season. Skip to 5:09 to see one of them.

Fun Fact

4 07 2010

There’s been some sort of car accident in every One Tree Hill season thus far except for season 7.

In Episode 1.13, Hanging By A Moment, Keith, who had been drinking earlier on, makes a left turn while he’s at a red light, crashing into an oncoming car, while Lucas is in his passenger seat.

Nathan was trying his hand at race car driving in Episode 2.19, I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning, when he spun out and was seemingly unable to stop the car until it crashed into a wall and stopped itself.

In the season 3 finale, Episode 3.22, The Show Must Go On, Nathan and Haley are headed to the airport for their honeymoon when a swerving limousine, with Cooper at the steering wheel but Rachel interfering, comes from the opposite direction.  Nathan and Haley manage to safely swerve out of the way and screech to a halt just in time, but Cooper and Rachel crash through a wooden railing and into the water below.

After celebrating the Ravens’ win at the state championship basketball game in Episode 4.09, Some You Give Away, Haley and Nathan head out into the street. As they talk, a car driven by Dante comes speeding towards then. Haley pushes Nathan out of the way, and the car strikes her.

In the season 5 finale, Episode 5.18, What Comes After The Blues, Dan helps an elderly couple cross the street, warning them (something to the effect of) if they’re not careful, they might–Before he can finish, he is hit by a car later revealed to have been driven by Carrie.

The last car accident thus far occurs in Episode 6.20, I Would For You, while a pregnant Peyton drives The Comet. As she starts into an intersection after her light turns green, a driver on her right runs the red light and plows into her.

As I said above, season 7 did not feature any car accidents. Any theories as to why?

  • Highlight of the Emmys for me: a clip of Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) from his Loving days being included in the tribute to soap opera maven Agnes Nixon. Bummer, though, that Jonathan Jackson, who appeared on One Tree Hill with his band Enation, and Carolyn Hennesy (Mrs. Valentine, Dawson’s Creek) did not win in their respective categories.
  • Galeotti has released a song called Shiver in hopes of raising funds to improve the water conditions in Kenya.

  • SoapNet made a few changes to the Sunday teen drama schedule: The O.C. is getting two additional hours, now airing from 6-9am while Beverly Hills 90210 airs from 9am to 1pm and One Tree Hill from 3pm to 7pm. I’ve updated their show pages to reflect this.

  • Paul Johansson (Dan, One Tree Hill) is directing and starring in an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
  • SoapNet has a new One Tree Hill quiz called Test Your Dan Scott I.Q. I scored a 90 percent and was told “YOU’RE DANGEROUS! You know too much about Dan Scott for his comfort. Arm yourself, or take a page out of Abby Brown’s book and hightail it out of Tree Hill before he confronts you” but I don’t think all the answers are accurate.
