News Roundup: 90210, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and The O.C.

24 08 2010
  • TVGuide.com has a spoiler-filled interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210). Completely agree with what he said about Lannie vs. Liomi. It’s actually the viewpoint I’ve been sharing for months and months. Nice to know he feels the same (or at least says he does).
  • The Real One Tree Hill Twitter account tweeted a brief video with Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill).
  • Bush tweeted that she’s prepping to direct an episode. I’ve heard, but not personally confirmed, that James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill) is directing an episode early in the season, too.
  • Examiner.com has a preview of an upcoming interview with Shantel VanSanten (Quinn, One Tree Hill).
  • The latest Talking Gossip After Dark podcast features a very interesting interview with Norman Buckley (director, Gossip Girl; 90210; The O.C., editor, The O.C.).
  • The Philadelphia Daily News has an interview with Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.).

  • Reminder: I will be going to The CW’s upfront tomorrow morning, where they will formally announce their fall schedule to advertisers and the media. If you’re not already following me on Twitter, now would be a good time to do so as I will be live-tweeting (as much as I can) from the event. I will also have a recap of the event posted on the site either later tomorrow or Friday.

  • Matthew Settle (Rufus, Gossip Girl) will be doing a Q & A session Tuesday in New York City as part of an event known as Talkback Tuesdays.

  • Zap2it has an pretty good interview with Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill), where he seems to imply two possible endings have been shot for the finale. Have you read my interview with him?
  • Us Weekly is reporting Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has had a baby with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I first heard about this months ago but refrained from posting it as it was not reported by the mainstream media (until now).
  • Burton has a new blog post on the SoGoPro blog (unrelated to the above).
  • There’s a new Talking Gossip After Dark podcast, featuring my recap of this week’s episode.
