News Roundup: 90210, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and Dawson’s Creek

6 05 2010
  • Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
  • ScreenStar has a spoilish interview with Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210).
  • The Sun has an interview with Sara Foster (Jen, 90210).
  • Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and husband Dean McDermott will be renewing their vows.
  • Zap2it has an pretty good interview with Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill), where he seems to imply two possible endings have been shot for the finale. Have you read my interview with him?
  • Us Weekly is reporting Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has had a baby with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I first heard about this months ago but refrained from posting it as it was not reported by the mainstream media (until now).
  • Burton has a new blog post on the SoGoPro blog (unrelated to the above).
  • There’s a new Talking Gossip After Dark podcast, featuring my recap of this week’s episode.
  • A woman in Florida is urging her local public library system to not have Gossip Girl books be available to teens.
  • Joel Schumacher, the director of Twelve, which stars Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), spoke about him and GG in an interview.
  • North By Northwestern, a publication at my alma mater, has a decent tribute to Dawson’s Creek.
  • The Frisky also has a DC tribute of sorts, and it features interesting (and, in my opinion, fairly valid) comparisons to Gossip Girl.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill and Dawson’s Creek

14 02 2010
  • Ausiello gave his renewal/cancellation predictions, saying Gossip Girl and 90210 (along with Smallville, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and America’s Next Top Model) are a “sure thing” while One Tree Hill (and Life Unexpected) “could go either way.” He says Melrose Place, however, is “a long shot.”
  • North By Northwestern has an interview with Eric Daman (costume designer, Gossip Girl).
  • OneTreeHillBlog.com has a great roundup of photos of Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill), Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) and Shantel VanSanten (Quinn, One Tree Hill) from New York Fashion Week events. There’s also reports, mostly in the tabloids, that Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl), Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Shenae Grimes (Annie, 90210) and Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) attended some events.
  • Fug Girls has a two columns on NYFW mentioning some of the above stars, including Grimes, Bush, Nichols and VanSanten.
  • Examiner.com has an article on Bush and Nichols attending various NYFW events.
  • On the official site for Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill), you can watch the episode she directed this season, 7.09: Now You Lift Your Eyes To The Sun, with commentary from her and Nichols.
  • A fan has organized a petition to show support for an 8th season of One Tree Hill.
  • Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has two vlogs on the SoGoPro site.
  • BuzzSugar has an interview with Bryan Greenberg (Jake, One Tree Hill).
  • PEOPLE.com has a short video interview with Greenberg and his How To Make It In America co-star.
  • NBC news anchor Lester Holt toured Vancouver with native Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210). See if you can figure the error Holt says in the beginning of the video.
  • James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) posted a pretty funny video of him and his Mercy co-star Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina, Gossip Girl).

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, The O.C. and Dawson’s Creek

25 11 2009
  • A publication at my alma mater, North by Northwestern, has an interview with Kellan Lutz (George, 90210).
  • Kristin has Gossip Girl spoilers.
  • The Vanessa-Olivia aspect of the Gossip Girl threesome and Alex-Marissa on The O.C. are included in E! Online’s Hot Girl-on-Girl Action gallery.
  • The O.C.’s Chrismukkah episodes made TVGuide.com’s list of Best Holiday and Christmas TV Episodes.
  • It figures: when I move away from Chicago, Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) starts doing solo-shows there. Darn! (I did pass him on my campus once but realized too late that it was him!)
  • One of the tabloids has a short piece on a “Dawson’s Creek love curse.” (See image 7.) Notably and conveniently absent is Joshua Jackson (Pacey) since he happens to be in a committed relationship.
  • Jack (Kerr Smith, Dawson’s Creek) is included in E! Online’s Gays on TV gallery.
