  • Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) appears in the first episode of NBC.com’s new webseries, FCU: Fact Checkers Unit. It was pretty funny, though they wasted the very obvious opportunity for a Dylan joke.

  • One Tree Hill won’t air in its normal timeslot on SoapNet this Sunday due to a General Hospital marathon built around old Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210) episodes.
  • Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has a new blog post on the SoGoPro website. She makes a cute mention of Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210), her White Collar co-star.

  • Kristin tweeted that Gossip Girl’s Chuck and Blair are not the subject of her wedding spoiler.
  • Josh Schwartz (executive producer, The O.C.) had tweeted this morning that there is “no truth” to the rumor that Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) has asked to have her character killed so she could leave the show BUT several hours later I saw that the tweet was deleted. When I checked with The CW earlier this week about this rumor, they issued a “no comment.” Interpret as you wish.
  • Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl) will present at the MTV Video Music Awards next month.
  • Badgley did a feature for the launch issue of Bullet magazine, but I don’t believe it’s out yet. There’s a behind-the-scenes video where he talks about the photo shoot and shows off some of his pian0-playing and singing skills.
  • Luke Kleintank (Elliott, Gossip Girl) has been cast on The Young And The Restless.
  • Star News came up with an interesting list of 5 crossover ideas for One Tree Hill.
  • JustJared claims Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) will present the Breakthrough in Green Innovation award to Global Green at the Breakthrough of the Year Awards this weekend. He apparently previously reported that Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) will get the Breakthrough Actress in Film award while AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) will get the Breakthrough Standout Performance award.

Back To School Marathon Today!

SoapNet will air four episodes of One Tree Hill and Beverly Hills 90210 — two eps each — today from 3-7pm for their Back To School Marathon.

The episodes are “all focused on the drama of academia.”

This is in place of the normal teen drama schedule during this timeslot, so there will only be these two eps of OTH instead of the typical four.

  • SoapNet announced a Beverly Hills 90210 and One Tree Hill marathon for this Sunday, during OTH’s normal 3-7pm timeslot, featuring two “school-themed episodes” of each. I was going to wait to mention this but it’s worth noting now that OTH will not air in its normal slot next Sunday, to allow for a special General Hospital marathon featuring Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Marcil now has an official site.
  • Marcil will be on The View tomorrow.
  • Zap2it has a brief interview with Marcil about General Hospital.
  • Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and hubby Peter Facinelli have put their home up for sale.

  • Katie Cassidy, of The CW’s Melrose Place, has been cast in a recurring role on Gossip Girl. She’s currently filming the movie Monte Carlo with Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl).
  • PopEater has an interesting article that asks why Miley Cyrus gets so much criticism when Taylor Momsen (Jenny, Gossip Girl), who is younger and arguably more outlandish, doesn’t.
  • The Vans Warped Tour, featuring Momsen’s band The Pretty Reckless, started last night.
