News Roundup: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and More

12 08 2010
  • Kristin tweeted that Gossip Girl’s Chuck and Blair are not the subject of her wedding spoiler.
  • Josh Schwartz (executive producer, The O.C.) had tweeted this morning that there is “no truth” to the rumor that Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) has asked to have her character killed so she could leave the show BUT several hours later I saw that the tweet was deleted. When I checked with The CW earlier this week about this rumor, they issued a “no comment.” Interpret as you wish.
  • Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl) will present at the MTV Video Music Awards next month.

  • SoapNet will have a Beverly Hills 90210 “Labor Of Love” marathon on Labor Day with Kelly-Dylan season 3 episodes. I could not be any happier. (Well, I’d be happier it if it was a super-long marathon about their whole relationship over the 10 seasons but…this…is…awesome!)

Back To School Marathon Today!

8 08 2010

SoapNet will air four episodes of One Tree Hill and Beverly Hills 90210 — two eps each — today from 3-7pm for their Back To School Marathon.

The episodes are “all focused on the drama of academia.”

This is in place of the normal teen drama schedule during this timeslot, so there will only be these two eps of OTH instead of the typical four.

Enjoy!

4 08 2010
  • SoapNet announced a Beverly Hills 90210 and One Tree Hill marathon for this Sunday, during OTH’s normal 3-7pm timeslot, featuring two “school-themed episodes” of each. I was going to wait to mention this but it’s worth noting now that OTH will not air in its normal slot next Sunday, to allow for a special General Hospital marathon featuring Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Marcil now has an official site.
  • Marcil will be on The View tomorrow.
  • Zap2it has a brief interview with Marcil about General Hospital.
  • Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and hubby Peter Facinelli have put their home up for sale.
  • BuzzSugar has a spoiler-filled interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210).
  • Ryan O’Neal (Spence, 90210) will film a reality show called Lost & Found with his daughter, Tatum.
  • Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) tweeted that he is running a half-marathon. If you recall, Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) wrote a blog post earlier this week saying she plans to do the same.
  • The Associated Press has an interesting but brief video interview with Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill). It includes her saying the quotes about her personal life that were released earlier this week.
  • Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl) is in a new PSA for Stand Up To Cancer.

  • SoapNet has a new quiz entitled, Which Beverly Hills 90210 Girl Are You? I got Andrea and was told, “Brainy and awkward, you might be overlooked by guys — but don’t worry! You’re too great to be passed by for long, and when you find love, it’ll be the real deal. Mostly.”
  • Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210) won the Best Actor Award for Call Me Fitz at the Roma Fiction Fest 2010 Awards.
  • In an interview about Covert Affairs, executive producer Doug Liman (executive producer, The O.C.) talks a bit about working with Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) on The O.C.
  • Covert Affairs, which features Gallagher, premieres tomorrow night on USA along with the season premiere of White Collar, which features Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210) and will feature Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill).
