  • In reply to a question asked by a fan, Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) tweeted “Season 8 is our final year…” but later clarified with “This is the last season anyone is contracted for. I don’t mean to break any ♥s, I just want to be honest with you guys. I guess we’ll see!”
  • Katie Cassidy, of The CW’s Melrose Place, has been cast in a recurring role on Gossip Girl. She’s currently filming the movie Monte Carlo with Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl).
  • PopEater has an interesting article that asks why Miley Cyrus gets so much criticism when Taylor Momsen (Jenny, Gossip Girl), who is younger and arguably more outlandish, doesn’t.
  • The Vans Warped Tour, featuring Momsen’s band The Pretty Reckless, started last night.
  • SoapNet will air a July 4th marathon of The O.C. called Oh Say Can You O.C. from 3-7pm. I’ll post a reminder that morning.

  • 90210’s second season DVD will be released August 24 (with a slew of special features!) and TVShowsonDVD.com has a look at the preliminary cover art.
  • AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) is starring in the webseries Dial*. She spoke with JSYK, PopEater and TV Squad about it and a bit about 90210, with the last one being the best, in my opinion.
  • The new issue of PEOPLE features an excerpt from uncharted terriTORI, the upcoming memoir by Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210). The book will be released on Tuesday. According to the description on Amazon, the book goes over Spelling “discovering her former 90210 castmates’ ‘I Hate Tori’ club.”
  • The Wrap named Lindsay Price (Janet, Beverly Hills 90210) a “show-killer,” though what they wrote isn’t entirely accurate.
  • Katie Holmes (Joey, Dawson’s Creek) will be a presenter at the Tony Awards on Sunday.

  • Last night’s One Tree Hill (2.1 million rounded up) and Gossip Girl (1.8 million rounded up) both rose a tiny bit in the ratings compared to last week, though Gossip Girl’s raise was teeny tiny.
  • Mark Schwahn (creator, One Tree Hill), Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill) and some others, under the name Nashville Skyline, co-wrote the song Carry You Home, which will play in the season/series finale’s coda next Monday.
  • Lee Norris (Mouth, One Tree Hill) will be the guest on ArtistsOnDemandRadio next Monday after the season/series finale airs.
  • TVByTheNumbers.com’s two writers believe One Tree Hill has a 60 or 75 percent chance of renewal.
  • E! Online has a spoiler regarding William (Billy Baldwin, Gossip Girl), which you can file under “Thank you, Captain Obvious. This is Gossip Girl we’re talking about.”

  • I have confirmed that Antwon Tanner (Skills, One Tree Hill) will appear in at least one episode of OTH later this season, despite being sentenced last month to three months in prison. As I reported then, Tanner hadn’t been fired from the show and he has until the end of April to begin serving his sentence, so this news makes perfect sense. I will have a spoiler on Tanner’s appearance on Sunday.
  • Change of plans again: Robert Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill) will indeed be at the Wilmington police fundraiser tomorrow.
  • Michael Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill) chose Tobias’ poem as the winner of our contest.
  • TVGuide.com and ScreenStar.com have interviews with Bryan Greenberg (Jake, One Tree Hill) about his new movie The Good Guy.
