- Ausiello has a “first look” at the Gossip Girl season 4 trailer. Tons of spoilers involved, so watch at your own risk.
- Sam Page has been cast on Gossip Girl in a recurring role. Again, spoilers involved, so read at your own risk.
- Kelly Rutherford (Lily, Gossip Girl) is featured in the new ad campaign for Monica Rich Kosann jewelry.
- Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl) will star in Dance Of The Mirlitons.
- Planet Green has an interview with Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) about the crisis in the Gulf.
- Nichols tweeted today that he’s going to shoot the movie LOL this week.
- Emmanuelle Vaugier (Nicki, One Tree Hill) is now on Twitter. I’ve added her to the Twitter Directory.
- Adrian Grenier and his band The Honey Brothers will appear on 90210. Once again, spoilers involved, so read at your own risk.
- Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) tweeted some interesting thoughts about 90210’s upcoming gay storyline. He also spoke to JustJared about it, though there is spoilish info here so read both at your own risk.
- Zap2it is reporting that Ryan O’Neal (Spence, 90210) won’t be back. So I guess that’s one element of the above that we won’t actually see.
- JustJared claims Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) and Dustin Milligan (Ethan, 90210) have split. I have not seen this confirmed anywhere yet.
- Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210) is SoapNet’s Weekly Crush.
- Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) appears in the first episode of NBC.com’s new webseries, FCU: Fact Checkers Unit. It was pretty funny, though they wasted the very obvious opportunity for a Dylan joke.
- BlackBook has an interesting interview with Autumn Reeser (Taylor, The O.C.).
- New York magazine has a great interview with Katie Holmes (Joey, Dawson’s Creek). She’s on the cover of the new issue.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More
12 04 2010- One Tree Hill came in second in Kristin’s Save One Show campaign. Chuck, which is executive produced by Josh Schwartz (executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) won.
- Even if you didn’t participate in the postcard campaign for One Tree Hill, you can still print out one of the postcards as a keepsake.
- The first video featuring the winners of The CW’s One Tree Hill contest has been released. It’s pretty cute. I am ridiculously jealous.
- The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast has an interview with Joe Davola (executive producer, One Tree Hill).
- Cari Moskow (Patty, One Tree Hill) joined Twitter today after being re-inspired by our interview.
- Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) will no longer be starring in Footloose.
- The 33 TV, a news station in Dallas, has a video interview with Crawford and his sister Candice.
- CNN is taking fan questions for Crawford for their Connector Of The Day feature. Can you spot the error in what they wrote?
- PEOPLE.com and the New York Post have interviews with Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, Gossip Girl).
- MTV has a short interview with Eric Daman (costume designer, Gossip Girl).
- I don’t post these every week but I figured I’d share this time: 90210 had the most DVR growth, percentage wise, in the 18-49 demographic than any other network show during the week of March 22. Gossip Girl ranked fourth. (It’s noteworthy, for One Tree Hill renewal/cancellation purposes, that Melrose Place ranked second.) The CW sent out a press release with all the numbers.
- Laura Leighton (Sophie, Beverly Hills 90210) will return to Melrose Place tomorrow night for the season finale.
- Time Out New York Kids has an interview with Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210), which includes a (totally legitimate but late, IMO) dig at 90210.
- The Bannen Way, which features Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210) and Autumn Reeser (Taylor, The O.C.), won several awards at The Streamys.
- An article on Life Unexpected, which stars Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek), has nice references to both DC and Beverly Hills 90210.
- BlackBook has an interview with Smith, with a little bit of DC talk and a Gossip Girl mention.
- Busy Philipps (Audrey, Dawson’s Creek) spoke a little about James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) to E! Online.

1 02 2010- Broadcasting & Cable has two very interesting articles on The CW. The first analyzes the network and its future and the second is an interview with Dawn Ostroff, the top executive.
- The above articles make it seem like Gossip Girl and 90210 are surefire renewals. We’ll see!
- TVByTheNumbers.com has an interesting analysis of the above articles.
- Reuters has an article on Twelve, which stars Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl).
- Somebody to Love by Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) is included on the soundtrack for the new movie Valentine’s Day.

- SoapNet will air Valentine’s Day-themed or love-themed episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 and One Tree Hill on–you guessed it–Valentine’s Day. They’re calling it a marathon but it appears to me to be the normal Sunday schedule for those shows with just specific episodes picked.
- SoapNet has a short article on and some photos from tonight’s One Tree Hill.
- Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill) and Wakey!Wakey! were on the PIX 11 Morning News this morning.

28 12 2009- A few teen drama mentions in this L.A. Times photogallery on “character types.”
- BlackBook has a brief interview with Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210).
- The New York Times said the new 90210 doesn’t “approach the success of [its] predecessor, or even passable hit status.” They won’t get any argument from me!
- According to Zap2it and Nielsen Media Research, 90210 was the fourth least-watched show of 2009.
- Tabitha (Jessica Walter, 90210) and CeCe (Caroline Lagerfelt, Gossip Girl) are mentioned in this CNN piece on boozy grandmothers.
- Only Blair (Leighton Meester, Gossip Girl) is left in the Girl on Top tournament.
- Examiner.com has an interesting article about Meester.
- Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) is on the cover of the February issue of Teen Vogue. They posted an interview excerpt online and PEOPLE.com also has a story on it.
- The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast features an interview with Lee Norris (Mouth, One Tree Hill). He compares the show to Gossip Girl around the 7:55 mark. Have you read my *two* interviews with Norris?
- PEOPLE.com has an article on Johnathon Schaech proposing to Jana Kramer (Alex, One Tree Hill).
- Ausiello has an interview with Joe Manganiello (Owen, One Tree Hill). Have you read my interview with him?
- Thanks go to Sam for sharing a YouTube link of The True-Love Tale of Boyfriend and Girlfriend, starring Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) and Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) with narration by Cullen Moss (Junk, One Tree Hill). Can’t say I liked it much…
- The O.C. is on TV.com’s list of the Most Influential Shows of the Decade.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More
3 11 2009- Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
- Last night’s One Tree Hill (2.3 million viewers) and Gossip Girl (2.0 million viewers rounded up) each had a decent drop in the ratings compared to last week. Gossip Girl technically didn’t even cross 2 million (again, I rounded up), tying for a season-low.
- I will be interviewing Lee Norris (Mouth, One Tree Hill) later this week. Since I’ve already interviewed him, I figured this time I would use reader questions. Please comment with your question by Thursday Friday morning. I cannot promise it will be asked but I’ll do my best!
- The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast features an interview with OTH writer Terrence Coli.
- I love this video interview with Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill), where she adamantly states she isn’t on Twitter. As you’ve seen in my Twitter Directory, there are tons of fake Sophias out there. Frustrating!
- Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) recorded a message on SoGoPro.
- If you haven’t seen Brett Claywell (Tim, One Tree Hill) on One Life to Live, Perez Hilton actually posted a clip.
- In a Gossip Girl recap by the L.A. Times, both Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris, Beverly Hills 90210) and Joey (Katie Holmes, Dawson’s Creek) are compared to Vanessa (Jessica Szhor, Gossip Girl).
- If you missed the short clip of the video for “Somebody to Love” by Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl), which aired during GG last night, E! Online posted it.
- The Parents Television Council has sent a letter urging CW affiliates not to air next week’s episode, which will feature the reported threesome. Seems a little preemptive (no pun intended) to me. I can’t imagine the episode being vulgar enough to warrant this. I imagine, like the gay kiss, it will be such a nothing thing and is really more about getting publicity and media attention (in which case, it worked). But I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
- You can get 10% off the cost of tickets for the Gossip Girl tour in New York City when you use the promo code TEENDRAMA.
- TV Guide Magazine has a spoiler-filled interview with Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) about what happens with the Jackie (Ann Gillespie) storyline. We all know how I feel about this so I figured I’d spare you guys the rant.
- Ausiello has a lot more spoiler-filled details on the Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes, 90210) / Gia (Rumer Willis, 90210) storyline.
- Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) and Nikki Reed (Sadie, The O.C.) are also featured in the Nov. issue of Nylon.
- The O.C. made BlackBook’s list of Top 10 Single-Letter & Acronymical TV Shows.
- Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.) will star alongside Holmes in The Romantics. Holmes will also produce.
- The A.V. Club has a great interview with Chris Pratt (Che, The O.C.)
