Teen Choice 2010 Live-Blog

9 08 2010

Teen Choice 2010, more commonly known as the Teen Choice Awards, airs tonight on FOX at 8pm eastern.

In addition to Gossip Girl and 90210, a slew of current and former teen drama stars have been nominated in a variety of categories.

Since the show is pre-taped, the winners are all over the Internet already, but I like to be surprised.

Below is a list of categories and nominees that relate to the teen dramas. As the categories air, I’ll update this post to show who the winner is. Keep in mind, the awards will likely not be broadcast in this order and not all awards may be given out during the broadcast.

Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl), Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) and Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210) were all nominated for Choice TV Actor: Drama. The Choice TV Actress: Drama category featured all current and former teen drama stars: Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl), Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) and Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) along with Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) for House and Shailene Woodley (Kaitlin, The O.C.) for The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Badgley and Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.) were each nominated for Choice Movie Actor: Horror/Thriller for The Stepfather and Jennifer’s Body, respectively.
  • The CW Sourcies have begun and the first category is Best Kiss. From our shows, you can vote for Adrianna and Navid’s reunion kiss in the 90210 season finale or Haley and Nathan’s kiss in the One Tree Hill season finale after she reveals she’s pregnant.
  • SoapNet made a few changes to the Sunday teen drama schedule: The O.C. is getting two additional hours, now airing from 6-9am while Beverly Hills 90210 airs from 9am to 1pm and One Tree Hill from 3pm to 7pm. I’ve updated their show pages to reflect this.
  • MTV spoke with Kevin Zegers (Damien, Gossip Girl) about his upcoming film schedule, including The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, which will also star Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl).
  • AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was on the Today Show this morning.
  • Mekia Cox (Sasha, 90210) was cast in Undercovers, a new NBC series.
  • Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) will co-host The View tomorrow, the same day her book uncharted terriTORI is released. I am planning to go to her book signing tomorrow night.
  • An excerpt from uncharted terriTORI was posted on the Today Show site.
  • Paul Johansson (Dan, One Tree Hill) is directing and starring in an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
  • SoapNet has a new One Tree Hill quiz called Test Your Dan Scott I.Q. I scored a 90 percent and was told “YOU’RE DANGEROUS! You know too much about Dan Scott for his comfort. Arm yourself, or take a page out of Abby Brown’s book and hightail it out of Tree Hill before he confronts you” but I don’t think all the answers are accurate.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill

18 10 2009
  • Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) will reportedly be in a magazine spread in the new issue of SELF and the cover of the new issue of AUGUST.
  • You can bid on a dress Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) wore to an awards show.
  • You can buy a copy of the shirt Dan (Penn Badgley, Gossip Girl) wore last season.
  • ChicagoNow has an interview with Badgley on his role in The Stepfather, which came out on Friday.
  • The One Tree Hill Twitter account tweeted some TwitPics of the cast with CW president, Dawn Ostroff.
  • TVGuide.com has an interview with James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill).
  • I hate to post “gossip” like this but I am going to justify it in a second.  JustJared says Kenzie Dalton, the fiance of Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill) wrote a blog post praising CMM’s ex-wife Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill).  I went to Kenzie’s site and can’t find the post but my reason for even mentioning this is that Kenzie said CMM will have an announcement soon about a project he’s working on.  See, there was news there–not just gossip!

News Roundup: 90210, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and More

9 10 2009
  • Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that she’s unhappy that the media prints her tweets for their own gain.  I’m assuming, of course, that TDW isn’t part of the problem!
  • Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210) is included in PEOPLE.com photo gallery of child stars.
  • A PEOPLE magazine cover featuring Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210), Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210 and Luke Perry (Beverly Hills 90210, as well as a separate one with Laura Leighton (Sophie, Beverly Hills 90210) are included in their Bests of the 90s photo gallery. The first one was also included in their 90s flashback gallery.
  • Donna and David’s wedding (Beverly Hills 90210) and Naley’s second wedding (One Tree Hill) made TVGuide.com’s list of The Most Memorable TV Weddings, BUT this seems to be repeat of a list (with some minor updates) they had in April.  They even used the same exact gallery on their site, so the old one no longer exists.  The links just bring you to the modified version.  I think we call that cheating.
  • Kristin has some more details on the Gossip Girl threesome.  Make sure you read the comments.
  • Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl) has joined the cast of Burlesque. Cam Gigandet (Volchok, The O.C.) also stars.
  • Southland, starring Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) and Michael Cudlitz (Tony, Beverly Hills 90210) has been canceled.  One TV critic is wondering if a third O.C. star will see his show axed: Californication, which features Peter Gallagher (Sandy). (The second was The Beautiful Life starring Mischa Barton [Marissa]).
  • James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) stars in a Hallmark movie airing in December.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girl and More
