Question: Got any Gossip Girl/Jenny Humphrey scoops? –Giovanni
Ausiello:
According to exec producer Stephanie Savage, Dan’s kid sis “has a big Blair, Mean Girls story for the end of the season that also ties in with the Rufus/Lily story. And you will see that a new course has been charted for Jenny Humphrey in the fall.”

Question: Do we know anything about Gossip Girl‘s prom episode? –Charisma
Ausiello:
Only that No Doubt will be performing, just not in this decade and not as No Doubt. “No Doubt is going to be playing in our ’80s flashback/[spin-off] episode,” reveals Stephanie Savage. “They’re playing an up-and-coming ’80s band.”

Question: Will we ever meet Harry’s real son on 90210? –Christopher
Ausiello:
Not this season. And probably not next, either. Newly crowned show-runner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair says “there was an overabundance of adoption-centric stories when I came to the show. And I didn’t feel like we could tell the story of the real son on the heels of the imposter son, because the issues that they would be going through would be too similar. So I don’t think there’s a place for that this year, but that’s definitely something that’s out there.” Speaking of 90210, I hear the first new episode back is nuts. And I mean that in a good way.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: My understanding is that One Tree Hill is returning without Chad Michael Murray and Hillarie Burton. Is there any truth to this? –Kirsten
Ausiello:
Well, based on the rather odd video statement she released, Hillarie certainly wants us to think she’s leaving. I’ll believe it when I see her clean out her dressing room. Regarding CMM, it’s no secret that he’s ready to move on, but, again, no final decision has been made. BTW, only two Tree Hill regulars are officially on board for next season: Bethany Joy Galeotti and Jackson Brundage.

Question: Please tell me there is still hope for Dan and Serena? –Adam
Ausiello:
If I did, I’d be lying. Exec producer Stephanie Savage confirms that Derena is dunzo. “I will tell you — and you can tell [everyone else] — that they do not get back together as a couple.”

Question: I heard that someone on 90210 is gonna die in the season finale. Who is it? –Isabela
Ausiello:
It’s (drumroll, please) no one! At least not that I know of. In other news, Sara Foster has been cast as Naomi’s sister, Jen. She’ll debut in April and make a beeline for Mr. Matthews.

Question: You haven’t given us 90210 scoop in a while. Care to share some? –Derek
Ausiello:
Word around the Peach Pit is that producers are once again pursuing Brian Austin Green for an episode. Timing may be in their favor: Sarah Connor Chronicles wrapped production last Friday.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: Were you suggesting that Kristen Bell was in the running to play a young Lily in the Gossip Girl spin-off? — Tara
Ausiello:
I was not. I’m actually going to keep quiet about which actress I was referring to until there’s something solid to report. Don’t want to jinx things. Having said that, I’d like to take this opportunity to nominate American Dreams ingénue Brittany Snow for the role. Not only does she have “young Kelly Rutherford” plastered across her forehead, but as she proved on her much-missed NBC drama, she has a timeless quality. (If she can pull off the ’60s, the ’80s oughta be breeze.) Plus, anything that keeps her away from Prom Night 2 has to be a good thing, right? If you agree, please, say so in the comments section. It’s no fun being out on this limb all alone.

Question: Please, I need some Gossip Girl scoop on Blair and Chuck! — Carla
Ausiello:
Okay, but I have to warn you, it’s going to make you very angry. Leighton Meester’s real-life beau, Sebastian Stan, will be reprising his role as the shifty Carter Baizen. He’ll appear in the next two original episodes and, per my source, his mission is twofold: to mess with Chuck and hook up with Blair. Don’t shoot the messenger!

Question: I am leaving for France tomorrow for nine days. Could you please give me some Gossip Girl to hold me over? — Rachel
Ausiello:
You know Serena’s new grifter beau, Gabriel (Armie Hammer)? She’s met him before — only she can’t remember where or when.

Question: I may be the only person in the world who’s extremely excited by the breakup of Dan and Serena on Gossip Girl. What’s next for both of them? — Randi
Ausiello:
A new love triangle for Serena that will eventually set in motion that whole Anne Hathaway-inspired plot I told you about last week. What I failed to mention in that story was that when Serena’s grifter love interest is first introduced, he’s in a relationship with her socialite bud, Poppy Lifton!

Question: Do you hate 90210 or something? Give us some good scoop! — Sam
Ausiello:
Hate it? The show is awesome! Just kidding, I haven’t seen an episode in months. But several trusty sources tell me it’s about to get really good, so I’ll probably start watching again next week — if for no other reason then to prep for Tori Spelling’s arrival in March. Speaking of which, I hear Tori’s bestest frenemy, Shannen Doherty, is returning for one more episode in May. Could this be the Brenda-Donna reunion we’ve been waiting for?! Sure couldn’t! I’m told the two won’t be sharing any scenes. Bum-mer.

Question: I recently saw a photo of Nate and Blair kissing in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl. What the hell?! We waited all season for Blair to get together with Chuck! Please say it won’t last. — Clare
Ausiello:
Let’s ask exec producer Stephanie Savage about that incriminating photo: “I think they look really cute together kissing in the snow.” Um, let me take a different approach. What does the rekindled N and B romance mean for C and B? “Tell those Chuck and Blair fans to hang in there.” That’s better.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Question: Come on, Ausiello! Give us scoop on Gossip Girl! — Sam
Ausiello:
First let me say that Monday’s episode was an absolute triumph on all levels (acting, writing, directing)…which makes the fact that it was the lowest-rated of the season all the more depressing. (Time to reboot the system, Nielsen!) On the scoop front, I know what brings Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) back to town, and it’s not her seemingly indefatigable quest to piss off frenemy Serena. Quite the contrary, in fact. Take it away, exec producer Josh Schwartz! “Certain times a situation is so dire that it requires the assistance of even your most sworn enemy,” he teases. “It just might come to pass that Serena and Blair find themselves in a situation where they have no recourse other than to recruit Georgina Sparks.” In other GG news, the show is casting the possibly recurring role of an “unassumingly cute” 16-year-old male. Sounds like Jenny’s getting a new suitor!

Question: 90210 gets so little attention from you! Got any scoop? — Stephanie
Ausiello:
This season’s 19th episode (airing in April) will be must-see-worthy for two reasons: It marks Tori Spelling’s return as Donna and features the arrival of Dixon’s estranged mother.
