RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Daniella in Pittsburgh: What’s coming up on Gossip Girl? This season has been amazing so far!
As if a long lost sibling and declining admission to Yale isn’t enough, Serena’s insta-gal-pal Poppy Lifton is coming back to make her life even more difficult. I’m guessing another feature in Women’s Wear Daily is not on her to-do list this time around? And Rufus is going to run into some money problems soon, but with Lily by his side that shouldn’t be too big of an issue right? She could easily take care of those with a small loan from her Bass Industries inheritance!

Alexandra in Baltimore: Anything on One Tree Hill? Do you know yet if this is really the last season?
No word yet on if a decision has been made about a seventh season, but by the looks of the upcoming One Tree Hill eps, I’d say things are starting to wrap up in North Carolina. Julian is looking to take things to the next level with Brooke when he asks if she and Sam will move back to L.A. with him. Might Tree Hill’s resident fashionista settle down in California for good? Millicent and Mouth are going to rekindle their adorkable love soon, too! And hell must have frozen over because after six seasons of abandonment, abuse and even murder, Dan is finally going to apologize to Nathan and Lucas for being such a terrible father.

Jamie in Salt Lake City: Please give me some juicy scoop on 90210, Kristin!
Looks like all of the emotional turmoil Silver (Jessica Stroup) has been going through is going to get worse before it gets better. When she goes MIA, the gang launches a manhunt to find her that leads everyone to a train station, where one of our beloved 90210ers will end up in a sticky situation out on the tracks. Any guesses as to who it might be? Is that how they find Silver? Or maybe it’s her man, Dixon, coming to the rescue!

Heather in Vancouver: I’m confused as to when Adrianna and Ty slept together on 90210. Was it before he and Annie dated?
Ty finds out he is the baby daddy in tomorrow night’s episode, but we won’t find out when the deed was done for a while. Adam Gregory tells me, “That will probably be revealed in later episodes, so we’ll have to see how that unfolds.” No doubt this will have an affect on Ty and Annie’s friendship, or possible romance. “When it happened, how it happened plays a big part in Ty and Annie’s little relationship,” adds Gregory.

News Roundup: 90210, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl

2 02 2009
  • Ryan Eggold (Ryan, 90210) admits in a new interview that even he is “wary” of remakes.
  • In the February 9, 2009 issue of PEOPLE, Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) says “being on your BlackBerry during dinner” is her number 1 dating don’t.  “That’s a big one.”
  • A one-time One Tree Hill and Dawson’s Creek director reflects on his time in Wilmington and his experiences on both shows.
  • Leona Lewis says she loves Gossip Girl, and that’s one of the reason she cast Chace Crawford (Nate) in her music video.
  • Matthew Settle (Rufus, Gossip Girl) says there’s a “magical time” ahead on the show but also warns that Rufus and Lily’s son may pop up at any time, in a dramatic fashion, of course.  Settle also squashes rumors on who his son isn’t.

Bethany Joy Galeotti Directs Tonight

2 02 2009

Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley) directs tonight’s new episode of One Tree Hill.

TVGuide.com has a great interview with her where she discusses the process of directing and one of her favorite OTH moments.

Be sure to tune in at 9/8c on The CW (or your local affiliate) and then tell us how you think she did!

Check back tomorrow for my reaction post!

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and The O.C.

2 02 2009
  • CW couples dominated Portait Magazine’s poll of the Top 10 Young [Relation]Ships.  Blair and Chuck (Gossip Girl) take the top spot but One Tree Hill’s Brucas, Naley and Leyton are numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
  • PEOPLE has a photo of a very dressed-down Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) and Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl) at DirecTV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl.
  • After almost a month of searching, I finally found a promo for Benjamin McKenzie’s new show, retitled Southland, on NBC.  Coincidentally, the audio track–Orange Sky by Alexi Murdoch–was featured on The O.C. (and Dawson’s Creek!) once or twice!

Random Thought

31 01 2009

So it’s still not clear whether or not One Tree Hill will be back for a seventh season–and if it is, whether Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) will be a part of the cast.

Regardless, I’ve come up with an idea for a spin-off centered around…Brooke!

Given the storylines in seasons 5 and 6, I envision Brooke (Sophia Bush) returning to New York where she tries to reclaim her company–Clothes Over Bros–from her manipulative mother, Victoria (Daphne Zuniga).  While there, she struggles to balance jumping back into her high-profile career with raising Sam (Ashley Rickards) and perhaps even another foster baby.

She would be single and casually dating until Julian (Austin Nichols) comes back into her life.

So what do you think?  Should I pitch it to Mark? 😉

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill

30 01 2009
  • If you’re into Twilight and like the soundtrack, you can thank Gossip Girl and The O.C.’s music supervisor, Alexandra Patsavas.
  • A new article suggests it would’ve been more realistic to have Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes, 90210) get the abortion.
  • Check out the box cover for the Beverly Hills, 90210 season 7 DVD!  Unlike the seasons 5 and 6 covers, Clare (Kathleen Robertson) is actually in it!
  • Even though in both the original 90210 and the spin-off, they went to West Beverly High, the actual Beverly Hills High School is trying to profit off the show, with this merchandise.
  • A new interview with Ashley Rickards (Sam, One Tree Hill) promises more “little fights” with Brooke (Sophia Bush).

Love Triangles Pt. 4: One Tree Hill

29 01 2009

MONDAY: BEVERLY HILLS, 90210

TUESDAY: DAWSON’S CREEK

YESTERDAY: THE O.C.

TODAY: ONE TREE HILL

BROOKE-LUCAS-PEYTON

How It Started: Lucas had a crush on his half-brother’s girlfriend, Peyton, but ended up dating her best friend Brooke in season one.  It wasn’t long, though, before Lucas and Peyton couldn’t hide their mutual attraction and began sneaking around Brooke’s back.  When Brooke found out the real reason Lucas broke up with her, she ended her friendships with both of them, and the Leyton versus Brucas war began.

How It Ended: Peyton and Lucas realized they couldn’t move forward with their relationship after hurting Brooke so much.  By the end of season two, Lucas realized how much he missed Brooke and in the beginning of season 3 they got back together.  At the end of the season, however, Peyton also realized that she was in love with Lucas and told Brooke–effectively ending their friendship.  Brooke broke up with Lucas, in part because of this, in the beginning of season 4.  It took some time but Lucas finally realized he was in love Peyton, too, and Brooke gave them her blessing.

Key Episodes: 1.8-1.15, 2.23, 3.9, 3.21-3.22, 4.1-4.3, 4.8-4.12, 4.15

LINDSEY-LUCAS-PEYTON

How It Started: When Peyton returns to Tree Hill at the beginning of season 5, she’s surprised to find out that Lucas is in a serious relationship with Lindsey.  Lucas, still angry that Peyton turned down his marriage proposal a few years back, continues his relationship with Lindsey and denies that he has any feelings for Peyton.  One night, after Lucas and Peyton share a kiss and Peyton thinks they will be together, she finds out Lucas and Lindsey are getting married.

How It Ended: On their wedding day, Lindsey leaves Lucas at the altar after realizing that he is still in love with Peyton.  Lucas spends the next few months trying to get Lindsey back and blaming Peyton for their break-up.  Season 5 ends with a love triangle cliff-hanger: Lucas is at the airport and calls someone, asking “Do you want to get married tonight?”  It isn’t until the season 6 premiere that we find out he called Peyton.  She accepts his new proposal and they get engaged.

Key Episodes: 5.1–5.9, 5.11-5.18, 6.1, 6.05

This getting a little too like The Creek for me but you know I’ll still be watching nonetheless.
