Teen Dramas versus Reality
2 01 2009Is it sickening to see the emphasis placed on the rich in shows like 90210 and Priviledged when the economy is doing so bad? Roger Catlin of The Hartford Courant thinks so.
I’m undecided. Part of the draw of teen dramas is their escapist nature. Who wants to be reminded how bad things are in reality? It’s nice to fantasize! But being more sensitive to the average person couldn’t hurt either.
What do you think?
