• Flashing back to Lily in Malibu circa 1983
• What is Lily’s dad’s name?  Rick? Nick? Dick?
• Why haven’t Lily and her dad spoken in a while?
• Lily attends boarding school in Santa Barbara.  Or at least she did…
• Lily was expelled!  What did she do?
• Back to present day…
• Q1: “Serena’s been in jail for more than four hours.  She’s already served more time than Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan combined.”–Blair (I don’t think that’s actually true.)
• How does Nate know Lily set Serena up?  Did Lily tell them when Blair called her?
• Prom is the next night.  Interesting.
• Q2: “You guys are the Gossip Girl generation.  Don’t expect me to believe you’re not interested in this gossip.”–Rufus to Dan, Jenny and Vanessa about his relationship with lily
• Lily flashing back to random memories from her past.
• Serena swears she won’t be likely Lily but Lily knows that’s easier said than done.
• Q3: “I rather give my kids up for adoption  than end up like you.  Oh wait.  You did that.”–Serena (Harsh!)
• Woah! Serena called Cici!  That’ll send a message to Lily.
• Back to the 80s…
• Okay, is the dad named Richard now?
• Apparently he’s a record exec or something, and they moved to California from New York and the parents got divorced.
• Was skeptical at first of Cynthia Watros playing younger Cici but she is nailing it!
• Q4: “May I have a gin and tonic? No tonic.”–Young Cici
• Lily wants to live with her dad.  But why?
• Apparently sister Carol “took off” some time ago to be an actress.
• Lily’s dad rejects her and she’s stuck with her mom which she obviously doesn’t want.  But why is their relationship bad in the first place?  This is the background we need.
• This version of CiCi reminds me of One Tree Hill’s Victoria.
• Present day CiCi and Lily fighting in front of Eric is kind of inappropriate.
• Does CiCi know Lily’s son is alive?  I wouldn’t be surprised if she does.
• Double woah!  S wants to stay in jail to make a statement.  She never learns her lesson! She’s so stubborn.
• Q6: “You’re not going to come home with a mullet and a gilfriend, are you?”–Blair to Serena
• Aw, Blair has a Nate-prom scrapbook.  Like a child’s fairytale.

• This younger Lily’s attitude reminds me a lot of Blair.  Not as mean, of course.

• Guess they’re setting up Owen to be Lily’s love interest?
• Back to the present…
• Q7: “So I can’t leave Serena one more message and call myself a man.  Not that it’s exactly manly to be calling her mother.”–Dan to Lily
• Since when it there that weird door/wall separating Dan and Jenny’s rooms?
• Q8: “I think I need a dress for prom.”  “Okay, but you’re gonna have to wear your own shoes.”–Dan and Jenny
• Guess the dress is for Serena?  Is Dan just being a good friend or does he still have feeling for her deep down?
• Montage with 80s Lily trying on different looks to be more like her sister.
• Owen’s face is kind of…weird.
• Here’s Snowed Out!  Pretty funny.  But it works.
• And here’s Carol.  She’s talking a mile a minute.  Is she always like this?  Or high or something?
• Blair at prom but now it looks like a different dress.  Still doesn’t like it either way.
• Q9: “We don’t do prom queen. That’s for suburban schools and the lame teen comedies that are set at them.”–Blair
• LOL Tiara possibility sparks Blair’s interest.

• So Shep and Owen don’t know Carol is rich.  But Owen seems to be listening.
• Lily at this age already knows the value of money and likes her lifestyle.
• Interesting. Present-day Lily venting to Rufus.  Surprised he was willing to listen.
• How did Lily know Rufusd was going to propose?
• Rufus should know about Lily’s past–they dated!
• Q10: “My mother doesn’t need forgiveness.  She needs electroshock therapy.”–Lily (Serena would say the same about her!)

• Oh, no!  Rufus isn’t sure he wants to be with Lily anymore!
• Back to the 80s where Carol is upset about a missing music video.
• And back to the present where Serena and Dan show up to prom together.  And dance really badly.  They’re kind of flirting.
• Don’t like Serena’s dress.
• Young Lily is getting wasted.
• And here we meet Keith van der Woodsen, who is presumably Lily’s future husband and Serena & Eric’s dad.
• Keith is played by Matt Barr, aka Psycho Derek from OTH.
• Keith has the music video.  And a crush on Carol. Can’t see them together.
• Carol reminds me of a cross between Katy Perry and Zoey Deschanel.
• Love the splicing of Carol yelling at Keith and Blair yelling at Chuck.
• Blair accusing Chuck of sabotaging her for prom queen but I think he was probably trying to hel pher.
• Carol won’t ask her parents for money.  Lily obviously would.
• Aw, Lily defends Owen when the fight breaks out.  Hits Keith.  Interesting.
• Blair wins prom queen!  Chuck definitely stole the Nelly votes.
• Q11: “This is my moment.  I own prom.”–Blair
• Nate named prom king.
• Q12: “Who even voted for her?”  “Me.  About 150 times.”–Dan and Chuck
• Aw! Chuck admits to sabotaging Blair’s prom night (like Nate guessed originally) but only to give her the perfect prom that she wanted.  All the changes he made were to the things Blair wanted!  Kind of sweet.
• Q13: “Who knews the motherchucker could also play fairy godmother?”–Gossip Girl
• Q14: “Why does it feel like our queen is standing with the wrong king?”–Gossip Girl
• Young Lily and Owenw ere arrested!
• And young CiCi says she should stay in jail.  Guess that’s where present-day Lily got the idea.
• Sixteen is a little young to want/expect the freedomt o figure out your life.
• Q15: “What if isn’t rebellion?  What if it’s me growing up?”–Young Lily
• Q16: “I don’t need a publicist.  I need my mother.”–Young Lily
• Lily seems torn between wanting her life and wanting her mother’s help.
• Carol says Lily can stay with her, setting up the premise of the spin-off.
• Back to prom where Blair tells Nate he is her first love and that prom with him is meant to be. Yet she is kind of over it…
• Over him too?  Well, she kisses him.  Hmmm.
• Present-day Lily forgives CiCi but I’m sure it’s only until the next time she does something wrong.
• Q17: “I rather have 20 Dan Humphreys than that boy you loved from The Valley.”–Cici (Talking about Rufus or Owen?!)
• So when did Lily start talking to proper?  The young version doesn’t sound like this or use sophisticated grammar.
• And how does Lily end up with Keith?  Or is it not Keith but someone in Keith’s family?
• Woah! Nate and Blair broke up but they didn’t show that to us!
• Blair says she doesn’t want a “high school boyfriend.”  She’s not admitting that what she really wants is Chuck.
• Q18: “Your quasi-half-brother slash ex-boyfriend was your prom date.”–Blair to Serena
• Q19: “Shoulder pads may come and go but a BFF is forever.”–Gossip Girl
• Serena and Blair supposed to parallel Lily and Carol.
• Q20: “You’re my sister.”–Serena to Blair
• Liked the Lily flashbacks but I won’t know if it’s worth a whole series.  I would’ve liked just an entire episode devoted to it and not split with another storyline.
• The prom storyline deserved its own episode.  Seemed out of place and shafted with the Lily flashbacks.
• So what happened to Georgina?  Is she gone now?
• Promo: Blair tries again with Chuck.  People pissed at Gossip Girl.  Season finale!

ONE TREE HILL (Forever and Almost Always)

• Episode title reminds me of Naley’s “Always and forever.”
• First Lucas voiceover in a while no?  Didn’t catch it all, though.
• Very true that Leyton is doing this out of order but Naley’s path wasn’t traditional either.
• Wedding is planned super-fast.
• Karen in Grenada, Larry in Iceland.  No mention of Dan.
• I think this is the first mention of Haley’s sister Quinn.  Convenient, if the casting rumors are to be believed.
• I think Haley would make a good minister for Leyton and in general. Though I do wish it was a more traditional wedding with a real minister.
• Nanny Carrie/Luke-Lindsey wedding reference.
• Jamie looks like a little newsboy.  Very cute.
• I hate child leashes.  Cruelest thing ever.
• What is Jamie carrying?
• Q1: “I think you and your eight-month-old sidekick look beautiful.”–Brook to Peyton
• Peyton does look great.
• Like Brooke’s concern for her.
• WOAH! Peyton just asked Brooke to take care of Lucas when she’s gone.  Hope she doesn’t mean romantically!
• Ack, I think she does!  Says she doesn’t want Luke, the baby or Brooke alone.  THAT DOESN’T MEAN LUCAS AND BROOKE SHOULD GET BACK TOGETHER! I can’t believe she’s saying this.

• Glad Peyton also realizes she’s lucky for what she’s had so far.

• Wonder if Brooke’s at all uncomfy with Peyton and Lucas actually getting married.  Or is she totally over it?

• Chase still looks very young.  Guess he kind of is in real life.

• Nice to see how far Naley has come over the seasons.  They’re like the only two characters not to have multiple relationships.  They only really dated each other.

• Didn’t show Skills finding Jamie but apparently they’ve reunited.

• Why are Julian/Missy sitting with Brooke/Nick?  Too convenient.

• Like all the kissing/making out scenes spliced together.  Naley scene is very hot!
• Lauren and Skills are pretty cute.  Wonder if they’ll feature her more next season.
• Julian came back to see Brooke!

• Of course she chooses to dance, even though she does love him!

• Would’ve been nice to see Sam at the wedding.  Really no mention of her at all.  Is that storyline totally over?

• So they both obviously want each other.  Is the distance the only problem then?

• Haley asked a good question: is Nathan really just tired of traveling or is his ego bruised?

• Aw, Julian went to find Brooke again!  And instead finds Victoria.  Ugh.
• Q24: “I love your daughter.  I’m in love with her.  And one of these days she’s gonna love me back.”–Julian
• Like seeing Julian stand up to Victoria.
• Really liket he song that’s playing in the background.  “Wedding Dress” by Matt Nathanson
• Aw, Leyton’s house looks so gorgeous!  That’s exactly what I want! LOL

• Okay, we know something’s going to go wrong.  There’s just that foreboding feeling.
• Comet’s all fixed.  Guess he wants to show her.
• Except Peyton is bleeding and passed out!
• Perfect wedding episode ruined by tragic accident just like Naley’s in season 3.
• Promo: Peyton obviously not well and Lucas obviously devastated.  No one else featured.  Season finale!
