Ausiello: I can confirm that by the end of the hour, one of them will stop pretending.

Question: Can you tell us anything more about the shooting that you mentioned in the season finale of Gossip Girl — like a clue as to who it is or when in the episode it happens? —Kim
Ausiello: It happens at the end of the episode, and it’s one of the following three characters: Nate, Dan, or Chuck.

Ausiello: Not sure what drama you’re referring to, but per my original story, she’ll be MIA only for the first part of next season. My prediction: Jenny will make a dramatic return at the start of November sweeps!

Ausiello: Jen returns with big news that may or may not involve a valuable (and iconic) piece of real estate.

Question: Some scoop please on the upcoming Gossip Girl indecent proposal storyline. You called it first, now please give us more. Pretty please! —Jordan
Ausiello: The promo for next week’s episode gives away pretty much everything… except the big twist.

Question: Okay, I’ll bite: What happens immediately after the scene with Chuck at the top of the Empire State Building in the Gossip Girl finale? —Larissa
Ausiello: Something really bad and potentially irreparable.

Question: I have to have some One Tree Hill scoop — preferably on the season finale and the show’s renewal status. —Nick
Ausiello: I have a very strong hunch The CW will give the show a 13-episode pickup, although we’ll probably have to wait until May for an official announcement. Don’t know too much about the finale, except that it ends with an outta-nowhere cliffhanger.

Question: Is Life Unexpected coming back for a second season? I fall deeper in love with it each week. —Jill
Ausiello: If the ratings hold steady, I think we’re looking at a 13-episode thingamajig here as well. On the scoop front, Baze finally confesses his feelings for Cate in next Monday’s road trip-themed episode. Unfortunately, the person he comes clean to is Lux.

Just remember the so-called “indecent proposal” storyline was done on Beverly Hills 90210 in season 6, with Valerie, David and Ginger. I also mentioned this in February when Ausiello first hinted this storyline was coming up.

This is the clearest sign we’ve gotten yet about One Tree Hill–but don’t pop the champagne bottles yet (or bash in your TV, whatever your opinion).

Ausiello: Yes, but if you blink you’ll likely miss it. Exec producer Stephanie Savage tells me that there’s a “moment” coming up that touches on B’s struggle with bulimia. “It’s very subtle,” she quickly adds. “But for people who are looking for it, they will find it.”

Question: What can you tell me about the Carter’s return on Gossip Girl? —Lucia
Ausiello: It’s tied to the arrival of Serena’s father (Billy Baldwin).

Question: Anything on Entourage? —Jimmy
Ausiello: Autumn Reeser’s returning! The O.C. triple threat (gorgeous, talented, loves me) just signed on to reprise her role as junior agent Lizzie Grant for a handful of episodes in season 7. And next week she starts work on the Greg Berlanti-produced ABC pilot No Ordinary Family. Someone’s in demand!

Question: I know you hate One Tree Hill, but do you have any scoop on what’s coming up. —Jessica
Ausiello: The season finale is currently being shot on location in Utah. And if you have to ask why, you obviously haven’t been watching this season. In related news, can someone please tell me why they’re shooting on location in Utah?

Question: Is something going to happen between Dan and Blair on Gossip Girl? Or were you just pulling our legs? —Janice
Ausiello: Maybe a little of both? I asked executive producer Stephanie Savage about the possibility of a Dan/Blair hook-up down the line, and here’s what she said: “There are only so many combinations [you can explore] on the show, so I think you have to be open to all of them at some point. So, certainly, we have an open mind when it comes to them… Those two are really gold when they’re together. They have great on-screen chemistry.”

Question: I need some scoop on Gossip Girl. More importantly, good news about Chuck/Blair. —Vanessa
Ausiello: I’m going to let executive producer Stephanie Savage take this one. “The good news about Chuck and Blair is that when we come back [on March 8] they’ve got a really incredible run with each other. They’re [involved] in a very emotional storyline regarding the mystery lady at Bart’s grave. They solve that mystery together and it’s a great example of Chuck and Blair working together and being very emotionally supportive of each other.”

Question: Is it true that Chuck and Blair break up again on Gossip Girl? —Mary
Ausiello: I will neither confirm nor deny that particular rumor on the grounds that it’s too spoilery. Besides, it’s also kind of a non-issue since any Chuck/Blair break-up will undoubtedly be followed by a reunion at some point. Isn’t that right, Stephanie Savage? “We really feel like those guys are made for each other,” she tells me. “But it’s not going to be an easy ride because of their personalities and their dynamic. It’s our job to throw some good obstacles in their path, but we always root for them to find their way back to each other.”

Question: Any scoop on Southland? Love that show. —Yasmin
Ausiello: The March 16 episode is a big one for Ben McKenzie and his alter ego, Ben Sherman. The former gets to sink his teeth into some meaty material when the latter goes out on patrol alone for the first time and gets a little too invested in a domestic violence case.

Ausiello: This is more scoop than spoiler, but singer-songwriter Liz Phair has been tapped as the composer for the new season (debuting March 31). Liz previously served as a composer on 90210, Swingtown, and The Beautiful Life. Who knew? Not me.

Question: How about some scoop about Gossip Girl that doesn’t have to do with Blair and Chuck? I want to know what’s going to happen with the gorgeous coupling of Nate and Serena! —Ann
Ausiello: Sounds like lots of crazy sex is going to happen. Exec producer Josh Schwartz teased via Twitter yesterday that the pair will be getting it on “in the closet, on the kitchen floor… 9 1/2 Weeks in 9 1/2 seconds.” And in case you missed it, here’s the new (and somewhat) spoilery GG trailer.

Question: I can’t go another Ask Ausiello without some major 90210 scoop! It’s bad enough new episodes don’t start back up ’till March 9th! —Kenny
Ausiello: Annie’s hit-and-run story will come to a surprising conclusion in the season finale, but the repercussions will carry over into season 3. Also, I’m hearing Liam and Naomi hit a rough patch (shocker!), and he’ll turn to Annie for (cough) support. That was a real cough, BTW. I wasn’t trying to suggest that (cough) support stood for something else.

Question: Any Gossip Girl spoilers? —Helen
