Ausiello: The bitch is back and more powerful than ever. “Blair at NYU was like throwing a fish far, far out of water,” says exec producer Josh Schwartz. “I think [this season] you’ll see Blair with her power back, with her swagger back, back in her game, but still troubled by thoughts of Mr. Bass. The Chuck/Blair relationship—whether they’re together or not—will always be a huge drive to the show emotionally.”

Ausiello: Stop me if you’ve heard this one: More than one cougar will be preying on Brian Austin Green’s handyman character. I’m told both Bree (Marcia Cross) and Renee (Vanessa Williams) will sink their claws into the artist formerly known as David Silver this fall.

  • SoapNet announced a Beverly Hills 90210 and One Tree Hill marathon for this Sunday, during OTH’s normal 3-7pm timeslot, featuring two “school-themed episodes” of each. I was going to wait to mention this but it’s worth noting now that OTH will not air in its normal slot next Sunday, to allow for a special General Hospital marathon featuring Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Marcil now has an official site.
  • Marcil will be on The View tomorrow.
  • Zap2it has a brief interview with Marcil about General Hospital.
  • Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and hubby Peter Facinelli have put their home up for sale.
  • BuzzSugar has a spoiler-filled interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210).
  • Ryan O’Neal (Spence, 90210) will film a reality show called Lost & Found with his daughter, Tatum.
  • Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) tweeted that he is running a half-marathon. If you recall, Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) wrote a blog post earlier this week saying she plans to do the same.
  • The Associated Press has an interesting but brief video interview with Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill). It includes her saying the quotes about her personal life that were released earlier this week.
  • Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl) is in a new PSA for Stand Up To Cancer.

  • The CW has started releasing teaser trailers for the fall season, so be sure to check out the video portion of their site and the individual show pages.
  • Despite The CW confirming it to me and others last week, Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) tweeted today that One Tree Hill still has not been given a full-season order, and the Real One Tree Hill Twitter account seems to be backing her up. Zap2it, which had also confirmed the 22-episode order, has now retracted their confirmation, saying the order remains at 13. Regardless, there is clearly a disconnect somewhere between the network, the show and the information being distributed by both. I cannot verify what information has been exchanged between network and cast/crew. All I can tell you is what I’ve been told by the network, which is always subject to change. Believe what you wish and, well, sit tight.
  • Bush has a new blog post on her official site, where she announces she’s running a half-marathon this fall.
  • Gossip Cop and I busted a rumor about Mischa Barton (Marissa, The O.C.) “quitting Hollywood.”
  • Heroine TV’s “Dawson’s Creek: It Should Have Been Joey’s Creek” is a must-read amazing post with reflections on the show, the core four and (swoon) Joey and Pacey. Make sure you check it out. Immediately.
  • Remember the “limo” the Dawson’s Creek gang took to senior prom? Star News tracked it down.
  • A teaser trailer for Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, starring Katie Holmes (Joey, Dawson’s Creek) has been released.

All the scoop? Here’s what I heard from lovely EP Stephanie Savage: “Georgina’s baby is Georgina’s baby; it’s not Dorota’s” (as some have speculated); Katie Cassidy’s pop star will “cause a lot of problems for Serena and Blair”; and Chuck may be alive but “we’ll discover that he maybe did not get the best medical care possible when he was found in the alley.” Speaking of Mr. Bass, his new flame Eva (played by French actress Clemence Poesy) is described as “extremely likeable… a little bit of an innocent who gets schooled hard” when she hits NYC – likely at the hands of Blair.

Better yet, well let Michael Steger (Navid) fill you in: “It starts off strongly with Naomi’s character dealing with how it left off the season finale,” referring of course to the perceived rape in the season finale. And as for that sicko teacher, Michael says: “It’s a pretty intense storyline, and he’s still around.” Still very much around, we’re hearing.

Reggie: Is it true that one of the main guys will be gay on 90210 this season?
Yes, it is.

Nevin in Atlanta: Good lord, True Blood is offing people left and right! Can you tell us what’s coming up next?
You’ve probably heard 90210‘s Michael Steger is stopping by True Blood later this season, and this new gig is a far cry from his West Bev sleuth. “I’m a drug runaway who has a very interesting trade that feeds into his drug addiction and his lifestyle.,” Michael tells us. “It’s a really dark youth and he’s just a lost soul. I meet the King of Mississippi, and I resemble his love of 700 years. They have an interesting chemistry.” Whoa, whoa, whoa—what about Talbot?!

  • New York Magazine and TVGuide.com‘s recaps of the Gossip Girl TCA panel have some details and quotes that I don’t recall seeing in the live-blogs and recaps I previously posted.
  • Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) helped judge a competition to find the “most inspired bartender.”
  • Doherty tweeted today that, contrary to rumors, she’s not pregnant.
  • Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) told Zap2it she would return to One Tree Hill  if a) it’s the final season, b) she’s asked and c) it worked with her schedule.
  • The Associated Press has a few quotes from Burton on having a baby with Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
  • Burton appeared on the PIX Morning News this morning. She makes nice mentions of Antwon Tanner (Skills, One Tree Hill) and Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill).
  • James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) tweeted that he got married yesterday. He and his now-wife, Kimberly Brook, are expecting a daughter.
