We’re back to being Tori Spelling-less but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch tonight’s new 90210.
Come back later this week for my reaction post.
Denise Gideon, the maker of the One Tree Hill Podcast, will have arguably her biggest star ever on during tomorrow night’s edition.
From the press release:
This coveted interview follows Lachey’s April 27th debut appearance on “One Tree Hill” in the episode that will also feature his song “All in My Head.”
Said Gideon, “I am very excited to bring Nick Lachey to the One Tree Hill Podcast. Nick talks about his guest stint on One Tree Hill and his upcoming album slated for a summer release. This interview with Nick Lachey really pushed the One Tree Hill Podcast to another level.”
Tune in to The CW tonight to see Gossip Girl’s “Southern Gentleman Prefer Blondes” and One Tree Hill’s “A Kiss to Build A Dream On.”
Check back later this week for my reaction post.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
The countdown concludes today with one seemingly very happy couple and the saddest love story to come out of the teen drama world.
2. Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) and Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl)

Though they knew each other already, Lively and Bagdley didn’t began dating until season one of Gossip Girl. When I interviewed Bagdley last year he wouldn’t confirm or deny the relationship, but the two have slowly opened up about it to the media. From a Details magazine article: “Penn, who was home-schooled with Blake a decade ago, when both were child actors, calls the relationship ‘wonderful and also something to grapple with’ in terms of mixing work and pleasure. But he won’t say more. ‘You have to draw the line somewhere. I’m fine talking about my family and personal history, because it humanizes you. But I have to save some shit for me.'”
1. Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill) and Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill)

Murray and Bush hold the honor of being the only teen drama couple to be married–and divorced. The two met on One Tree Hill in 2003 and married in 2005. But the wedded bliss was short-lived: Bush asked for an annulment just 5 months later. Though neither have ever explicitly said the cause of the separation, rumors persist that Murray cheated on her. But since the end of their relationship, the two have shared many love scenes on the show, which I give them both a lot of credit for. I cannot imagine having to pretend to be in love and kiss the person that broke your heart. Murray said in an interview last year that “It’s one of those things where you grow up a lot faster. You’re put in a situation where you’re gonna deal with things right in your face. But I think [Sophia and I] are both professional and mature enough to get through it. And now it’s just easy. We’re just friends. And she’s got James, and James and I are friends. It’s just a little tight group in Wilmington.” Murray got engaged again not long after ending things with Bush, this time to Kenzie Dalton, a sometimes-extra on the show.
Thanks to Casey for suggesting this video!
If you’re a fan of Peyton on One Tree Hill, it’ll be hard not be moved by this fan-made short.
Two kinds of love today: young love and baby love!
4. Katie Holmes (Joey, Dawson’s Creek) and Joshua Jackson (Pacey, Dawson’s Creek)

Here’s what makes this one interesting: they got together and broke up before their characters ever did on the show! AWKWARD! But Holmes reportedly told Rolling Stone, “I fell in love, I had my first love and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always. I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends.”
3. Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) and Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210)

BAG’s second appearance on this list has a special distinction: he and Marcil are the only real-life teen drama couple to have a child. They met on the set of 90210 in 1999. Kassius was born in 2002 but the relationship ended a year later. They seem to remain on good terms, though, with Marcil calling him “amazing” in a recent interview. Their characters also had a short-lived relationship on the show.
Part three of my countdown focuses on a fairly new couple and one that still leaves me feeling heartbroken.
6. Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill)

Reports that these two are currently dating started circulating in late 2007 and continue still to this day, though neither has commented publicly about it.
5. Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) and Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.)

Bilson and Brody began dating not long after The O.C. debuted in 2003. Their characters had an on-off relationship throughout the series, and the couple themselves broke up towards the end of 2006 (though fans were strongly rooting for them!). During their relationship, they lived together and co-owned two dogs. From a New York Post article: “They say, ‘Don’t date your co-star,’ but that’s who you’re around,” says Rachel. “If you’re in an office, and you see someone every day and you click well, you’ll start dating. It’s the same thing.” The two lived together, and after their breakup in December 2006, they divided belongings and dogs—Adam took pit bull Penny Lane, and Rachel walked away with Thurmen. “Oh yeah, during the divorce, that was a given.”
