Site of the Week

16 03 2009

Since I completed the Most Quote-Worthy Characters series, I’ve been feeling pretty guilty for not including Lucas (One Tree Hill).  One of the best things about One Tree Hill over the years has been the voiceovers he does at the beginning and end of most episodes.

I started feeling nostalgic, and worried that I left out a great series of Lucas quotes, so I did Google search which ended up leading me to…

Karen’s Cafe

Named for the restaurant owned by Lucas’ mom in seasons 1-4, Karen’s Cafe is a sister site to the OneTreeHillWeb.net.  Unlike other more general OTH sites, Karen’s Cafe has 3 specific focuses: quotations, literary references and info on Karen and Deb.

The site provides a  pretty detailed account of Karen and Deb’s storylines through the middle of season 5.

In the section called Lucas Scott’s Book Club, there is a listing of all the books Lucas talks about in seasons 1-3.

Familiar Quotations is where you’ll find Lucas’ voiceovers, as well as collections of other special quotes.

The site is by no means complete and when you get to the end of each section, you’re left wanting more and wishing they kept it up-to-date.

Still, the site is a great idea and worth checking out.  Maybe the owners will read this and start working on it again!

No teen drama has featured a kid as cute as Jackson Brundage.

As Jamie Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill, Jackson has received ample air time in seasons 5 and 6, including his own storylines.

He’s become an integral part of the show, working his way into the hearts of fans.  Watch these clips to see why.

Everyday I look up from my computer…

…and stare at these for inspiration.

I made these super-collages into posters out of smaller ones I found on the good ol’ internet.

Do you have teen drama photos decorating your room, too?

Top 5 Biggest Vixens Pt. 5

13 03 2009

Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four

1. Valerie Malone (Beverly Hills, 90210)

This should come as no surprise as Valerie was and is, without a doubt, the ultimate teen drama vixen. There wasn’t a woman in Beverly Hills Val didn’t fight with or a guy that was safe from her come-ons.  With a priority list that consisted of ME ME ME, Val stopped at nothing to get her way from the day she set foot in the zip code.  A few arrests and even an AIDS scare didn’t deter her to change her wild ways.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

These ladies deserve a small shoutout for occasionally causing trouble but either not sticking around long or having a lot more to their personality.

Sophie Burns (Beverly Hills, 90210)

Jen Lindley (Dawson’s Creek)

Abby Morgan (Dawson’s Creek)

Eve Whitman (Dawson’s Creek)

Taylor Townsend (The O.C.)

Brooke Davis (One Tree Hill)

Nicki (One Tree Hill)

Taylor James (One Tree Hill)

Georgina Sparks (Gossip Girl)

ANYONE I’M FORGETTING?

Top 5 Biggest Vixens Pt. 4

12 03 2009

Part One, Part Two, Part Three

2. Gina Kincaid (Beverly Hills, 90210)

Though she actually started appearing before the departure of 90210’s other resident bitch, Valerie, it was clear to anyone with a brain that Gina was meant to serve as some replacement.  And replace she did, going after some of the men Valerie herself once laid claim to: Dylan, Noah and David.  Gina’s arrival–and involvement with Dylan–gave Kelly a new enemy and Donna another family member to fight with.  Among Gina’s schemes: extortion, illegal businesses and workplace back-stabbing.  Classic bitchery!

Spoiler: Ask Ausiello

12 03 2009

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: Got any Gossip Girl/Jenny Humphrey scoops? –Giovanni
Ausiello:
According to exec producer Stephanie Savage, Dan’s kid sis “has a big Blair, Mean Girls story for the end of the season that also ties in with the Rufus/Lily story. And you will see that a new course has been charted for Jenny Humphrey in the fall.”

Question: Do we know anything about Gossip Girl‘s prom episode? –Charisma
Ausiello:
Only that No Doubt will be performing, just not in this decade and not as No Doubt. “No Doubt is going to be playing in our ’80s flashback/[spin-off] episode,” reveals Stephanie Savage. “They’re playing an up-and-coming ’80s band.”

Question: Will we ever meet Harry’s real son on 90210? –Christopher
Ausiello:
Not this season. And probably not next, either. Newly crowned show-runner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair says “there was an overabundance of adoption-centric stories when I came to the show. And I didn’t feel like we could tell the story of the real son on the heels of the imposter son, because the issues that they would be going through would be too similar. So I don’t think there’s a place for that this year, but that’s definitely something that’s out there.” Speaking of 90210, I hear the first new episode back is nuts. And I mean that in a good way.
