- The Real One Tree Hill Twitter account tweeted a very brief video with Lee Norris (Mouth, One Tree Hill).
- Examiner.com has an interview with Amanda Schull (Sara/Katie, One Tree Hill). She made some interesting comments when discussing a possible return to OTH.
- A pretty big picture of Joe Manganiello (Owen, One Tree Hill) is on the cover of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly. That’s a huge achievement. Congrats to Joe!
- Jana Kramer (Alex, One Tree Hill) has officially filed for divorce. She and Johnathon Schaech split a few weeks ago.
- Takers, which briefly features Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210), stars Chris Brown (Will, The O.C.), and also happens to star Schaech and Rachel Bilson’s (Summer, The O.C.) ex Hayden Christensen, opens in theaters tomorrow.
- 90210 and Dawson’s Creek are included in The Daily Beast’s look at “racy TV show scenes.” It’s sad, though, how respectable DC’s is and how much 90210’s isn’t. That can be applied to the series as a whole, too, in my opinion.
- Kristin has an “exclusive sneak peek” at 90210’s new season. Looks like some new characters we haven’t heard about may be introduced.
- Earlier this month CBS announced a new channel in India, which would air 90210, and now it’s been announced a new channel will also air the show in Australia.
- Gossip Cop busted a false Star story about Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210).

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, The O.C. and Gossip Girl
26 05 2010- I am deeply saddened to report that Disney has decided to cease operations of SoapNet beginning in 2012. The network is being replaced with Disney Junior. As you are all aware, SoapNet currently airs reruns of One Tree Hill, Beverly Hills 90210 and The O.C. I do not know what this means for the syndication deals currently in place for those shows. Quite frankly, I am still trying to process this development. In the meantime, I have four things to offer: the press release from Disney, a post from SoapNet and articles from the New York Times and Entertainment Weekly, the latter of which makes some very interesting points. Thank you to Daniel and Gloria for alerting me to the news.
- In the last Weekly Poll, all three questions had results with large margins. Sixty-three percent believe Quinn and Clay aren’t dead on One Tree Hill, though 5 percent believe it’s quite possible. Another 17 percent have no idea but hope not while 15 percent have no idea but hope so. The Jenny-Chuck storyline on Gossip Girl made 64 percent of voters feel disgusted while just 17 percent were entertained. Nine percent were torn while 10 percent are still trying to process it. Lastly, 71 percent believe 90210’s Naomi was about to be raped by Mr. Cannon. Nineteen percent don’t think that’s happened while 10 percent had no idea. The Weekly Poll will be on hiatus during, um, the hiatus. In the meantime, we have the show evaluations and soon I’ll be resuming weekly trivia on Twitter.
- Korbi has the next part of her interview with Mark Schwahn (creator, One Tree Hill). Here he discusses whether he wants the show to continue past an eighth season.
- Registration has opened for Christy-Anne’s second One Tree Hill fan reunion, which will be held this July.
- Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) performed during last night’s Dancing With The Stars finale. I haven’t found YouTube video of it yet to link to.
- Gossip Cop and I busted a false National Enquirer story about Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) and Megan Fox.
- The Huffington Post has an interesting interview with the band Rooney, and there’s some references to their appearance on The O.C.
- Josh Schwartz (executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) and Stephanie Savage (executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) will produce the film Fun Size with their new company Fake Empire.
- ESPN has a short interview with Ron Machado, who appears with Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) in her Vogue spread.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl and The O.C.
7 12 2009- A recap of last week’s 90210 managed to cleverly tie in both Gossip Girl and The O.C.
- Josh Schwartz, creator of both Gossip Girl and The O.C., gave Entertainment Weekly his picks for the decade’s best music.
- Gossip Girl’s riff on The O.C.’s season 3 cliff-hanger in last week’s episode, though apparently quite common, was criticized in at least 2 recaps.
- WEEKEND named The O.C. one of the best shows of the decade.
- Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) is featured on the cover of a magazine whose name I can’t even read.
- Bilson is in a disturbingly graphic but slightly funny new Funny or Die video.
- The Post-Tribune has a feature on Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) and his one-man show.
- Shannon Lucio (Lindsay, The O.C.) has joined the cast of True Blood.
- Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) is on the cover of the December issue of Lucky. Coincidentally, Bilson was on the cover of the November issue.

28 10 2009- The Los Angeles Times has “five burning questions” on 90210. Spoilers already revealed the answers to numbers 3 and 4 but it’s still worth a read.
- Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that he’s “making his return to the new 90210.” I guess that means he’ll be playing Cliff? Who knows, though, considering 90210 2.0’s inconsistency. Last month, Vaughan was fired from General Hospital.
- So apparently AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) and Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) are together!
- Charles Rosin (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210) did a blog post about the progress of his current project, showbizzle, and linked back to the interview we did together.
- Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) was also a victim of the same thieves responsible for robbing Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) and other celebrities.
- Candy Spelling (wife of Aaron and mother to Tori and Randy of Beverly Hills 90210 fame) will reportedly appear on a reality show being made by Ryan Seacrest.
- According to TVGuide.com, Gossip Girl is in danger of cancellation.
- In interviews with Entertainment Weekly, Kenny Ortega says he has confidence in Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) appearing in the Footloose remake (even though he’s no longer directing it) and co-star Julianne Hough called him a “cutie.”
- The CW Source has podcasts for last week’s Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and 90210
25 10 2009- Another reminder that I won’t be live-blogging One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl tomorrow as I will be traveling. I will do reaction posts later in the week. 90210 is a repeat this week.
- TV Guide Magazine has a short piece on Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and the episode of OTH she directed.
- Naley (One Tree Hill) are included in E! Online’s TV Couples We Love gallery. Blair and Chuck (Gossip Girl) are included as well.
- The remake of Footloose, set to star Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), has lost its director. The film is supposedly “still on track,” though.
- EW.com named 90210 one of the most improved shows of the season. I completely disagree but whatevs.
- The Oct. 23 issue of Entertainment Weekly has a photo of Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) from a recent EW-sponsored event.

Spoiler: Ask Ausiello
8 10 2009RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Question: So, inquiring minds want to know: Is Rachel Bilson the mother on HIMYM? —Jeremy
Ausiello: Look for exclusive details about Bilson’s character in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (on sale Friday). In the meantime, Craig Thomas — who once again promises that episode 100 will feature “some pretty exciting stuff on the mother front” — says he and fellow exec producer Carter Bays are “big fans” of the former O.C. star. “She’s charming and great and we’re [excited] for her to come into such a big episode.”
Question: Are you going to narrow down the list of Gossip Girl threesome possibilities? —Sharon
Ausiello: Yes, but not here. It wouldn’t be appropriate. I’ll do so in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on sale Friday.
Question: I know you won’t tell us who is going to partake in the threesome on Gossip Girl, so I won’t even bother asking. I just want to know if it’s a dream or if it’s real. —Fernanda
Ausiello: Oh, it’s real.
Question: I would love some (good) news about Chuck and Blair from Gossip Girl! —Lisa
Ausiello: It doesn’t get much better than this: They’re still together and (relatively) happy through at least episode 11.
Question: Please tell me your Love and War blind item does not pertain to Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester? That would totally ruin Gossip Girl for me! —Whitney
Ausiello: It’s not them either. Okay, this marks the end of the Love and War eliminations. You’re on your own now!
