News Roundup: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and More

8 02 2010
  • Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) and Kelly Rutherford (Lily, Gossip Girl) attended the launch party for a new H & M clothing line.
  • Meester may star in the film Oranges.
  • The Chicago Tribune has an interview with Eric Daman (costume designer, Gossip Girl).
  • High Society, The CW’s new reality show focused on Tinsley Mortimer who cameo-ed on Gossip Girl last season, will debut on March 10.
  • Butchered, which features Cari Moskow (Patty, One  Tree Hill), will be available on DVD tomorrow.
  • In many foreign countries, when writing the date, they put the day before the month. That makes tomorrow 9/02/10 for them. Hee hee.
  • E! Online has a brief interview (no pun intended) with Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) about his Calvin Klein underwear campaign.
  • Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) was on The Wendy Williams Show. Inside TV has a great clip of her discussing her first 90210 kiss, which, as we know, was with Ian Ziering (Steve, Beverly Hills 90210). The show’s official site has some more info on her appearance.
  • Also, check out these clips for more on Garth’s current campaign for heart disease awareness.
  • Daniel Cosgrove (Matt, Beverly Hills 90210) will appear on Brothers & Sisters, which is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (writer-producer, Dawson’s Creek).
  • The Boston Herald has an interview with Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek).
  • MTV has an article on James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) and his film Formosa Betrayed.
  • Van Der Beek will be on Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night.
  • MTV also has a great article on Dawson’s Creek and what made it so good.
  • The Wendy Williams Show also a first kiss bit with Tate Donovan (Jimmy, The O.C.) from last week.
  • Dawson’s Creek and The O.C. are included in an article on shows that had strong ratings and critical acclaim at first but then lost them over time.
  • Fascinated by this article about a study on birth control education, where college students were shown an episode of The O.C. (circa Theresa’s pregnancy in season 1) or a news program on teen pregnancy and the reactions were compared. They found that “a fictional television drama may be more effective in persuading young women to use birth control.”
  • The Boston Herald also has an interview with Donovan.
  • Though it was interesting that Henri Lubatti (Henri-Michel, The O.C.) guest-starred on Chuck tonight, since both shows were/are executive produced by Josh Schwartz.
  • McG (executive producer, The O.C.) is working on the Charlie’s Angels remake. Aaron Spelling (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210) was responsible for the original show.

News Roundup: 90210, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and The O.C.

31 12 2009
  • Noticed that the finalized artwork for the Beverly Hills Season 9 DVD is significantly different from the preliminary art, and both are significantly different from the original photo. First the original photo was altered to photoshop in Luke Perry (Dylan). Then they decided to also add in Vanessa Marcil (Gina) and cut out Vincent Young (Noah). This makes the second season in a row with Young missing from the cover art, even though he was a regular the entire season, unlike Perry, Marcil and even Jason Priestley (Brandon) and Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie). Missing in all three photos, however, is Daniel Cosgrove (Matt) who was also a regular that season, albeit not from the beginning (though he is in one of the faded background images). Expect me to still be griping about this when the set is released on February 2nd.
  • ABC News has an interview with Candy Spelling (wife of Aaron, mother of Tori; Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Digital Spy has an interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210). Some of it is outdated for us, since the show is just premiering in the country where the site is based. Most interesting is that he says he’s pretty sure there’s going to be a season 3–and then is bold enough to say the show could last “four or five years.”
  • They also have an interview with Jessica Lowndes (Adrianna, 90210), which also covers things we’ve already seen but also has spoilers.
  • MTV made New Year’s resolutions for Ryan (Ryan Eggold, 90210), Dan (Paul Johansson, One Tree Hill) and Jenny (Taylor Momsen, Gossip Girl). Zap2it and The Wrap have good resolutions for The CW.
  • Star News has a brief article on Brett Claywell (Tim, One Tree Hill) and the amazing work he’s been doing on One Life to Live. It’s truly remarkable.
  • Blair (Leighton Meester, Gossip Girl) is still in the running in the Girl on Top tournament.
  • You can vote for Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) and Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) as the stars you would kiss on New Year’s Eve.
  • The new season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, starring Shailene Woodley (Kaitlin, The O.C.), premieres Monday on ABC Family.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and 90210

13 11 2009
  • The Soup parodied Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) and Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) in this video.
  • 50 Cent had some funny and nice things to say about Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), his co-star in the movie Twelve.
  • Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) recorded a promo for SoGoPro. She also has a new blog post.
  • Nathan (James Lafferty, One Tree Hill). and David (Brian Austin Green, Beverly Hills 90210) are included in a SoapNet gallery on “character corrections” they’d like to see.
  • SoapNet will air a “Chillin’ with Dylan” marathon of Beverly Hills 90210 on Nov. 27, from 1pm-9pm. Will post a reminder that morning.
  • Daniel Cosgrove (Matt, Beverly Hills 90210) has joined the cast of As the World Turns.
  • PEOPLE’s Celebrity Baby Blog has an interview with Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) mostly on her family but there’s a little 90210 stuff thrown in.
  • PEOPLE has an article on Tiffani-Amber Thiessen’s (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210) recently-announced pregnancy.
  • The whole Jackie-Silver missed birthdays storyline from this week’s 90210 made TVGuide.com’s list of top moments. Wish I could agree.
  • GeekSugar can tell you what cell phone Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes, 90210) has been using.
  • Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) will reportedly be honored with a Power of Youth award.
