- Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina, Gossip Girl) spoke with PEOPLE about her character–and coincidentally gave an explanation for why teen drama co-stars hook up.
- Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill) is now considered a “regular” (aka, lead cast member) on the show. Today is also his birthday!

Top 10 Real-Life Relationships Pt. 3
24 04 2009Part three of my countdown focuses on a fairly new couple and one that still leaves me feeling heartbroken.
6. Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill)
Reports that these two are currently dating started circulating in late 2007 and continue still to this day, though neither has commented publicly about it.
5. Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) and Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.)
Bilson and Brody began dating not long after The O.C. debuted in 2003. Their characters had an on-off relationship throughout the series, and the couple themselves broke up towards the end of 2006 (though fans were strongly rooting for them!). During their relationship, they lived together and co-owned two dogs. From a New York Post article: “They say, ‘Don’t date your co-star,’ but that’s who you’re around,” says Rachel. “If you’re in an office, and you see someone every day and you click well, you’ll start dating. It’s the same thing.” The two lived together, and after their breakup in December 2006, they divided belongings and dogs—Adam took pit bull Penny Lane, and Rachel walked away with Thurmen. “Oh yeah, during the divorce, that was a given.”

Site of the Week
20 04 2009Occasionally I reference or link to SoapNet, so I wanted to explain their Web site more.
SoapNet.com has a wider reach than the channel. While the site covers the soaps (daytime and teen dramas) that air on the channel, it also includes entertainment and fashion news. It also has links for a number shows on sister networks such as Lost (ABC) and The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABCFamily).
The pages for each show include relevant new stories, picture galleries and message boards.
The site has a ton of other nooks and crannies filled with good stuff so take some time out and go explore!

13 04 2009- Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) has refuted some of her mother’s claims in a new article. Both of their books are reviewed in the April 17th issue of Entertainment Weekly. You can also read the reviews here, as well as another Tori article from the mag.
- Newsday put together a lot of Tori-related content, including a photo gallery and an article previewing her return to 90210.
- Newsday also has a poll asking what other original cast member you’d like to see return and a photo gallery of the new and old casts.
- Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210) will soon have a second child.
- Shenae Grimes (Annie, 90210) and Ryan Eggold (Ryan, 90210) both said they were disappointed to hear Dustin Milligan (Ethan) won’t be returning for season 2.
- Rob Estes (Harry, 90210) was recently mistaken for Grant Show (Jake, Beverly Hills 90210/Melrose Place).
- Korbi at Zap2it has posted fan feedback regarding Gossip Girl’s Nate-Blair-Chuck, much like E!Online did.
- John Burke (Bart Bass, Gossip Girl) is now on Rescue Me.
- The April 10th issue of Entertainment Weekly is filled with teen drama content: there’s a small piece on Southland, which includes photos of Ben McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) and Michael Cudlitz (Tony, Beverly Hills 90210) during their TD days; Penelope’s (Amanda Setton) “In the last 20 minutes, I’ve been hit on by two Bronfmans and a gay designer. It was totally worth it” line from the most recent Gossip Girl was included in the weekly SoundBites feature. Unfortunately, so was Joel McHale’s recent quip on The Soup: “One Tree Hill can be described in many ways: unflinching cure for insomnia, worst show to take place on a hill, and inexcusable misuse of Chad Michael Murray would all work.”; Tori Spelling vs. Candy Spelling made The Bullseye, as did the news that Milligan is leaving 90210.

9 04 2009- There will be a fashion spread featuring Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) in this weekend’s New York Times Magazine.
- Perez Hilton posted a pre-Gossip Girl picture of Chace Crawford (Nate).
- Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) is one of the celebrities in Zac Efron’s first Funny or Die video.
- At a recent event Stroup said she’d like to do a cross-over with Gossip Girl.
- There’s another teen drama connection on Southland, besides the show starring Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.). The other main character is played by Michael Cudlitz who played Tony Miller in eleven episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210. This article pointed that out and links to a clip.
- Scott Scanlon’s suicide on Beverly Hills 90210 in season 2 is on The New York Post’s list of Shocking TV Suicides.
- The HD Room is giving away 5 copies of the Beverly Hills 90210 Season 7 DVD set.
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) and Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) will be part of Op’s Summer of Music campaign. There’s lots of pictures here.
