RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Shandell in Houston: Any news on Michelle Trachtenberg’s new pilot?
While Michelle’s been out promoting her flick, 17 Again, she gave E! News the goods on her new show: “I wrapped Gossip Girl, and I signed on to a new NBC pilot called Mercy, a one-hour medical drama about the lives of three nurses. It’s very sexy, and by sexy I mean I learn how to do a catheter—and I can a rock a bedpan in case you ever need it.” We definitely want the best for our girl Michelle, but hopefully Georgina Sparks is not gone for good!

Vicki in Las Vegas: Gossip Girl!
Serena did not really get married, this is a bit of an off week for Blair (she’s in a funk because of her love problemos) and Chuck apologizes to Jenny for that time he tried to get up on her in the pilot (back when Gossip Girl still showed depraved indifference to everything, before it turned into a modern comedy-of-manners masterpiece), but let’s talk about the most important thing: Dorota-sodes are coming! So jealous of Verizon phone owners right now!

Petra in Austin, Texas: What’s the buzz on the Gossip Girl spinoff pilot?
Apparently “Lily” [sic] is not a full pilot. Rather, the ’80s flashbacks are half of a Gossip Girl episode (tied into Serena’s storyline), so it’s hard to judge the series as a whole, but from what insiders have seen so far, it looks good, and Krysten Ritter and Brittany Snow in particular are supposed to be awesome. Yay!

Marie in Terre Haute, Ind.: What’s going on with Peyton on One Tree Hill?
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby boy in the baby carriage, then comes…oops, can’t tell you that part. Mwa-ha-ha-ha. Yes, we’re evil.

Site of the Week

20 04 2009

Occasionally I reference or link to SoapNet, so I wanted to explain their Web site more.

SoapNet.com has a wider reach than the channel.  While the site covers the soaps (daytime and teen dramas) that air on the channel, it also includes entertainment and fashion news.  It also has links for a number shows on sister networks such as Lost (ABC) and The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABCFamily).

The pages for each show include relevant new stories, picture galleries and message boards.

The site has a ton of other nooks and crannies filled with good stuff so take some time out and go explore!

Breaking News: Antwon Tanner Arrested!

16 04 2009

Antwon Tanner (Skills, One Tree Hill) surrendered to authorities in Brooklyn today and was subsequently indicted on charges of fraud in connection to trafficking illegal Social Security cards, reports the New York Post.

According to Buddy TV, this will likely lead Tanner, who turned 34 on Tuesday, to be fired from the show.

I had the opportunity to interview Tanner last spring and he was extremely sweet and genuine.  I am absolutely in shock.  But let’s remember: everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

  • Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) told TVGuide.com she stands behind the Donna-David separation storyline on the new 90210.  Ironically, the site ranked David and Donna’s wedding as one of their TV favorites.  (Naley’s season 4 wedding on One Tree Hill also made the list!)

Spoiler: Ask Ausiello

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: I’m begging here. Please give me something good on Gossip Girl‘s Chuck and Blair! All we’ve been getting is bad news and I need something to keep me sane! –Nadia
Ausiello:
This season’s final two episodes will make you very happy.

Question: I miss the old Silver on 90210. Please tell me she’s going to return! — Christina
Ausiello:
I’m told prom is going to be the eye-opening event that resurrects the Silver we all know and love. Speaking of 90210, Rob Estes says this of the season finale: “There might be a death, perhaps a murder. I don’t know if they will actually die because it is a cliffhanger. We left it open-ended. There may be a death in the finale. I can only promise bodily harm. Expect bodily harm.”

Question: I heard the Ryan Eggold is moving over to the new Melrose Place. Is that true? — Lexi
Ausiello:
Let’s ask Ryan himself: “I don’t know if it is happening or how exactly they would do it,” he told us at Saturday’s PaleyFest ’09 event honoring 90210. “We’ve talked about me being the crossover character but they say I will still be on 90210 as well. I think it would be really cool if it happened, but it’s too early to say it with certainty. If it does happen it will be the same character on both shows. It would not make any sense if I was playing two different characters.” It would make a hell of a lot more sense than half of the crap I witnessed in this week’s episode, every second of which I loved.
