- InStyle has a short article on Crawford’s new look.
- PEOPLE.com also has another poll asking “which starlet do you want to watch on The CW?” with the options being Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl), Rumer Willis (Gia, 90210) or Ashlee Simpson (Melrose Place).
- As I could’ve told you all along (which is why I didn’t post anything suggesting it), AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) and Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) are not together!
- I don’t think Dawson’s Creek is on TV anywhere anymore (sniff sniff) but I just found this site that has a couple of episodes you can watch from the first 3 seasons.

Amy in Pittsburgh: So excited Gossip Girl is back in production! What can you tell us?!
Sorry, Hilary Duff haters, but Duff joins the Gossip Girl cast as movie star Olivia, and she’ll be getting her movie-star cooties on the entire cast, not just Vanessa and Dan. Also on Gossip Girl this season, Chuck and Blair are totally getting married and having a million babies. (OK, not that, but they are staying tight. Yay!) And believe it or not, the show really is trending away from “Dan and Serena are the one true pairing of Gossip Girl.” Certainly, that arc might turn back sometime in the future, but for now the show is trying to establish their separate identities, apart from their on-again, off-again shenanigans. Is that great news or the worst thing you’ve ever heard? Post in the comments!

Michael Steger tells us, “They’re talking about renovating the Blaze newsroom, so it’s going to be where everything happens and everybody meets up. They’re going to make it very loungey, very comfortable.” (The Blaze newsroom is where we’ll meet Rumer Willis‘ character when she guests in a season-two episode.)

- E! Online is speculating on who could be cast as the father of Serena (Blake Lively, Gossip Girl) and Eric (Connor Paolo, Gossip Girl) on GG. They have a poll on it as well.
- Celebuzz is refuting a report that Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) and Sebastian Stan (Carter, Gossip Girl) are engaged.

Breaking News: Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl
1 07 2009According to Ausiello at EW.com, Hilary Duff has join the cast of Gossip Girl for season three.
It’s unclear whether she’ll be a regular or just a temporary, recurring star. Duff will play Olivia, “a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience” and rooms with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).
Thoughts on the casting?
Fun fact: Duff was reportedly considered for the role of Annie on 90210 but she passed on the project.

Is 90210 ever going to have a summer season like the original did? — Karen
MICKEY: Not this summer. But Season 2’s premiere episode (which is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8th) will reintroduce us to the Beverly Hills Beach Club. As for the boys of summer, there will be plenty come fall. In addition to Teddy, both Annie and Naomi will have summer flings with which to deal, by which I mean “drop them like third-period French.” Their hastiness won’t be good for either of them.
I am super-excited (pun intended) about Brian Austin Green appearing on Smallville! Is there is any chance he will be on for more than two episodes? — Gabriela
MATT: At this juncture, BAG has been tagged for only the first two episodes of Season 9. But your query allows me to share this scooplet about Metallo’s small-screen origin tale: The producers tell me that soon after mild-mannered John Corben begins his “Daily Planet” gig, “his fate takes a horrific twist that will change his destiny forever.” Hmm, would that be Prof. Emmett Vale’s cue?
Are Gossip Girl‘s Serena and Nate going to hook up anytime soon? — Jennifer
MICKEY: Methinks someone — cough, Jennifer, cough — is getting a bit stalkery with this question. At least initially, the answer is (still) no, as Serena and Nate will both be getting BIZ-AY with new love interests in the fall: S. will be courted by a prince among men, while Nate will be busy wooing this lady. (In case you were wondering, JoAnna Garcia will be busy asking herself, “I got canceled for this?”)

GOSSIP GIRL
1. Georgina Sparks (played by Michelle Trachtenberg)
Only a teen and already a wild child, Georgina relies on alcohol and lies to make sure she gets her way–which usually means screwing over nemesis Serena (Blake Lively). Among her heinous acts: pretending to be someone else and blackmail.
2. Gossip Girl (voiced by Kristen Bell)
She/he is the source of many problems in the halls of Constant Billard and St. Judes. By simply exposing damaging secrets via text or her blog, Gossip Girl’s identity remains a mystery.
I debated whether or not to included Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) as villains but ultimately decided not to as I think they have many more redeeming qualities to them than any of the others I included on my list.
I think we can all agree that there are no outright villains on 90210 (yet) so my list ends here.
