Romana in Cape Coral, Fla.: What can you tell us about the Gossip Girl finale?
Chuck and Blair! What else is there to say? OK, how about that the spawn of Rufus and Lily will be played by an unknown—extrapolate from that what you will about said spawn’s future on the show. (Of course, nobody had ever heard of Jessica Szohr before G.G., and now she’s a big star with endorsement deals and everything.)
Joey in Sedona, Ariz.: Does Serena do any damage to Gossip Girl when she tries to out her in the G.G. finale?
No, not really. Gossip Girl escapes Serena’s attack relatively unscathed—but then again, nobody effs with Kristen Bell and gets away with it. (Except Sylar.) Oooh! Speaking of Kristen Bell, she is magnificent as Uta of Valhalla Catering in the Party Down finale, and there’s an opening at the very end for her to recur in the likely (but not assured) second season. Yay!
Karina in Littleton, Colo.: I know it’s not really called Lily, but is there anything new to spill on the spinoff?
Actually E! News just caught up with the older version of Lily, Kelly Rutherford, and she shared an awesome-sounding bit of info on the tentatively titled show: “I just went in recently did a bit of a voice-over, like a Wonder Years kind of thing where I’m looking back on my life. I don’t know if they’ll use it, but I was able to see some of it, and it looked fantastic.” So there you have it! Gossip Girl plus Wonder Years equals amazing!
Lia in Helena, Mont.: Please tell me something about the One Tree Hill finale!
Julian appears in the finale, so maybe that means he and Brooke will finally decide to be together? Plus, both Mia—and her portrayer, real-life singer Kate Voegele—are releasing their albums in the OTH finale. “There’s this amazing scene that we shot at a Best Buy, and they have a huge line of fans. Mia’s releasing her record, and Mia’s record is my record. So on the day that my album, A Fine Mess, comes out in real life, Mia’s album, A Fine Mess, will be coming out on One Tree Hill.” A little confusing, but you get it!

13 01 2009- Kelly Rutherford, whose divorce I first told you about here, went to the courts to stop her estranged husband from leaving the country with her son. Unfortunately for her, the request was denied. PEOPLE reports an increasingly ugly situation between the two. Her husband alledges Rutherford’s work on Gossip Girl (Lily) is part of the problem.
- Jessica Lowdnes (Adrianna, 90210) says she’s a series regular. Haven’t seen it listed that way anywhere but guess we have to believe her?
- CBS unveiled yesterday a new 90210 product: a karaoke machine! I kid you not. Check it out here and here. Suppose I’ll add it to the recommended products list…?
- If the last one wasn’t random enough, how about this one: Kate Voegele (Mia, One Tree Hill) will perform on an upcoming episode of The Bachelor.

5 01 2009GOSSIP GIRL
- Since when do they themselves post on Gossip Girl? I thought the whole point of her blog was that SHE posts!
- Creative to not introduce Uncle Jack in the typical way. Felt slighted, though, like something was missing.
- Fair to assume Jack and Blair had a New Year’s Eve fling?
- Serena and Dan were surprisingly cute…but it won’t last, I can promise you that. Why tease viewers? Because putting couples together and tearing them apart again is a teen drama staple.
- So the secret lovechild is a boy, as many people were guessing.
ONE TREE HILL
- If it’s late in LA when Peyton calls Lucas, how late is it in Tree Hill? North Carolina is in an earlier time zone!
- She’s preggers. Duh. I love how excited and cute they were!
- Haley wants dibs on godmother…and yet she made Brooke Jamie’s. Fair? I don’t think so.
- Jack’s brother is ridiculously creepy.
- Victoria could still be behind the mugging, right? At least the sketch-stealing part. She could’ve hired Jack’s creepy brother.
- Never saw it coming that that was Julian’s dad.
- Andre and Julian are adorable. And tragic.
- His question (is Julian really just after Peyton) is my question, too!
- Number 12 is just as good as 23…I guess.
- Yay Chase! No Chase and Mia!
- Could do without the Mouth and Millicent storyline.
- Why did they never show Owen’s SlamBall injury?
- Sophia Bush was super-impressive tonight. I was just blown away and I really like the way the story unfolded, particularly the ending.
RANDOM
- Surprisingly, there weren’t too many 90210 promos. I only counted two.
- One Tree Hill wins the promo war for next week (aka got me more excited than Gossip Girl). Agree?
