MONDAY: BEVERLY HILLS, 90210
TUESDAY: DAWSON’S CREEK
WEDNESDAY: THE O.C.
As I said in Part 1, I’m not doing Gossip Girl and the new 90210 because there’s not much change to look at.
So of those featured, which actor do you think changed the most?

The CW’s page for One Tree Hill still heavily features Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton).
Wonder when they’re going to put up pics with them edited out or the official season 7 cast picture.
There were some photos floating around the internet recently (like this one from The CW upfront), but those were season 5/6 pictures photoshopped to just feature Sophia Bush (Brooke), James Lafferty (Nathan) and Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley). I want to see new stuff!
And I want to see The CW further acknowledge a future without CMM and Burton. Not because I’m happy with that decision–I’m clearly not–but because they made it and they should support it.
Are they just lazy? Do they always wait til it gets closer to the premieres to release new promo pictures? Or are they trying to keep OTH the way it was?
Start speculating!
On One Tree Hill, during one of the many time Peyton tried to convince Lucas to leave Lindsey, Luke said, “I’m in love with her, Peyton.”
Here’s my question: do you think he actually was? Was Lucas truly in love with Lindsey? Did he really see himself spending the rest of his life with her? Or was he just in denial with his feelings about Peyton? Was he just still hurt by or mad at Peyton so he was using Lindsey? Or do you think he genuinely fell in love with someone else?
I’ve never spoken to a Lucas-Lindsey fan. Do you know of any out there?
I know I’ve touched on this before but it’s something I have trouble getting out of my mind when I watch certain One Tree Hill episodes.
I will never understand how Sophia Bush (Brooke) and Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) acted together after they divorced.
How do you pretend to be in love with someone when that someone broke your heart?
How do you kiss each other and not feel what you used to feel?
How do you fight with them and not feel there’s truth in what you’re saying?
Yes, it’s just “acting” and “pretend.” And, yes, both Sophia and Chad have moved on. But everyone’s human with real emotions and something like this has got to mess with them.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but maybe for their sake, it’s best that CMM left the show?
Re-watched the One Tree Hill pilot today on SoapNet and several things struck me.
1. It’s interesting to see where Nathan and Peyton started. You see them now, it’s hard to believe they were ever together. Then again, in almost every teen drama pilot, the characters start off way different from where they end up.
2. Same goes with how they look. They’ve grown up so much. And same can be said for all teen drama actors.
3. James Lafferty in particular is so baby-faced. Probably because he was only 17 at the time! And Nathan has a nipple piercing–what ever happened to that?!
4. Peyton’s room was set up quite differently, with her closet being used for her computer area.
5. Great Dawson’s Creek shout-out when Haley says to Lucas: Not that I was looking for something specifically, which implies some hideous sort of “Joey loves Dawson ” scenario and completely creep me out.
6. Brooke (Sophia Bush) isn’t even in the pilot. Similar to Luke Perry (Dylan) not appearing in the first few episodes of Beverly Hills 90210.
7. Interesting to recall that Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) was on Dawson’s Creek before this. Doesn’t even seem like the same actor–I guess because the characters are so different.
8. Wish I had time to write up comments on each show now that the series is on from the beginning again. Of course I’ve already seen all the episodes multiple times, but it’s interesting to watch them again after just watching season six.
RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
When is Gossip Girl going to give Jenny a better story line? — Clarice
MICKEY: Do you hear the Constance girls screaming, Clarice? That’s because Little J was named the new Queen Bee in the season finale. We recently asked Topsy Mopsy, er, Taylor Momsen how she’d fill Blair’s headband. “You know what, I hope she’s a bad queen bee!” she told us. “I’m sure [the writers will] find a way to tie it all together.” My unsolicited idea: Jenny needs a bf who charms Rufus while he corrupts her. She needs to earn that eye makeup!
Will One Tree Hill bring back Rachel now that Peyton and Lucas are gone? — Fernando
Will Robert Buckley be shirtless on One Tree Hill? — Sarah
MATT: Yes, Fernando, Danneel Harris is returning for a handful of episodes as Rachel, though I’m not entirely sure why. Maybe the not-quite-reformed bad girl will become Brooke’s new BFF? What I do know is that Rachel is part of a “great storyline,” says a source. To Sarah, I also have good news for you: Count on plenty of bare-chested Buckley, as he plays Nathan’s sports agent.
Mickey’s Mini Rant: This rant is pre-emptive: Casting Rumer Willis (who I’m sure is an awesome actor) as a lesbian reporter — particularly in the wake of the “bisexual cheerleader” debacle of 2008 — reeks of tokenism. Yes, Nine-Oh needs to diversify its canvas, but is a high-profile, one-episode gig the way to do it?
“My contract ended at the end of season 6, and choose between signing a contract for two years or continue your career, it is the decision of a lifetime. Especially at this time. I would not doubt that there was rather a reflection on what was best for me. And I am confident of the fact that I made the right decision.”
“For me, the relationship between Lucas / Peyton is one of the bases of the series and remains the common thread of the first season…Lucas has always loved Peyton, and he is faced with this choice. As a viewer, I loved to see that.”
“It’s impossible for me to say that I have learned nothing from Nathan, but it is also difficult to describe what he gave me. I saw him through so much, and now be a good father and good husband.. It’s hard not to learn to be the best man possible. It is, moreover, [what] Nathan tries to do constantly.”
