TDW Survey

1 03 2010

As I mentioned last month, I am interested in knowing your true thoughts of TeenDramaWhore.com.

Is the site updated enough? Is there a particular feature you like? How often do you check the site? Which show is your favorite and least favorite?

The answers to these questions and a few others will help me serve you better.

As such, I’ve created a 10-question survey for you to answer. It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes of your time. All responses will be anonymous and you can only take the survey once.

The survey will remain open until 11pm eastern time on Sunday, March 7.

Click here to take the survey!

Thanks for your help!

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210 and The O.C.

26 02 2010
  • EW.com has a post asking if Gossip Girl and 90210 are better than Supernatural and Smallville.
  • Digital Spy has an interview with AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210). Some of it is outdated since we’re ahead of them in episodes but there’s some other good stuff.
  • Found random pictures of a store somewhere that is using Beverly Hills 90210 characters as inspiration for the fashion in their window displays.
  • PEOPLE.com has an article on Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210) and her pregnancy.
  • OK! Magazine has an article on Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Billy Campbell (Carter, The O.C.) will be in the March 9 episode of Melrose Place.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and More

25 02 2010
  • Variety confirmed Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) will indeed star in the film Oranges.
  • Spoiler alert! One Tree Hill will do some filming in Utah soon and co-producer Kelly Tenney has a post on the SoGoPro blog about scouting locations for it.
  • Dina Meyer (Lucinda, Beverly Hills 90210) will be on NCIS this spring.
  • OK! Magazine has an interview with Shenae Grimes (Annie, 90210) about her passion for fashion.
  • Gillian Zinser (Ivy, 90210) is now a regular on 90210. I wonder if Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) already is and I missed it? He came in first in my poll on this topic and Zinser ranked second.
  • Michael Steger (Navid, The O.C.) appeared on the WPIX Morning News earlier this week. The video has a few spoilers. The accompanying article says his character is “often compared to David Silver from the original series.” Um, thoughts?
  • WPIX also had Tate Donovan (Jimmy, The O.C.) on their show this week.
  • Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.) is in the new movie Cop Out, which will be in theaters tomorrow.
  • Tomorrow at 2pm, SoapNet will start airing The O.C. from the beginning again. It will also start over Saturday at 8am and Monday at 1pm.
  • Formosa Betrayed, starring James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) will have a limited release tomorrow. The New York Times has an interview with him and Filmcritic.com has a review of the film.

Weekly Poll

24 02 2010

In the last Weekly Poll, a huge majority–73 percent–suspected that Brooke jumped to the wrong conclusion about Julian and Alex on One Tree Hill. The next largest amount, 14 percent, said it sure looked like they slept together. Ten percent said they didn’t know but were looking forward to finding out while 4 percent said they also didn’t know but weren’t looking forward to finding out. In a tighter race, 40 percent said Gossip Girl’s renewal came as no surprise while 32 percent said it was unnecessary and the show should end. Fifteen percent were torn since they were happy with the show but nervous for the future while another 13 percent were torn because they’re disappointed with the show but excited for the future. And in the closest poll, there was tie: 36 percent each said the 90210 promos made them excited or disappointed. Another 29 percent said they were mixed.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The O.C. and More

24 02 2010
  • E! Online spoke with CW head honcho Dawn Ostroff about the chances of Life Unexpected and Melrose Place being renewed. Unfortunately, One Tree Hill wasn’t discussed–or, if it was, it wasn’t include in the article.
  • WECT and Star News report a CBS pilot will be filmed at Screen Gems Studios this spring, the same place that houses the One Tree Hill sets. One Tree Hill should be finished filming for the season by then but I’m not sure they’d be affected anyway. (I don’t know how big Screen Gems is but it’s noteworthy that only one major series has filmed there at a time–first Dawson’s Creek and then One Tree Hill.) Also keep in mind that where a pilot films isn’t necessarily where the series will film, if it is indeed ordered as a series.
  • WECT also has an article on Wilmington’s “film industry” being stable “with or without One Tree Hill.”
  • Deadline Hollywood and The Hollywood Reporter both say Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) and Michael Cassidy (Zach, The O.C.) are in the running to play Captain American. I’ve seen rumors recently that Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill) and Rob Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill) were also being considered but I didn’t post them because they were just that–rumors, and from sites whose credibility I couldn’t vouch for. These two sites, however, I frequent regularly and are well-respected in the entertainment news industry.
  • Chuck/Blair (Gossip Girl), Nate/Blair (Gossip Girl) and Ryan/Marissa (The O.C.) are the only teen drama couples remaining in E! Online’s TV’s Top Couples tournament. (David/Donna and Dylan/Brenda, both of Beverly Hills 90210, were eliminated.)
  • Josh Schwartz (creator/executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) is reportedly working on a remake of the film Endless Love.
  • There is an article on Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) in the new issue of TV Guide Magazine.
  • Dawson’s Creek is included in TVGuide.com’s TV’s Biggest Blunders photogallery for losing sexual “tension a-plenty when its lead characters hooked up.”

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girl and Dawson’s Creek

23 02 2010
  • Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
  • Last night’s One Tree Hill (2.2 million viewers) rose a bit in the ratings compared to last week. The CW sent out a press release touting the ratings increase–but remember, last week was a season- and (I think) series-low and 2.2 is about the season average so this isn’t much to brag about. The network also says this is the highest rating since Dec. 7, but three out of the last five episodes (not including this one) had a 2.2 (rounded) rating so I don’t get that part, and considering the Dec. 7 rating was 2.6, this, again, isn’t brag-worthy.
  • Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill) has a funny vlog that sorta kinda features James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill).
  • The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast has an interview with Amanda Schull (Sara/Katie, One Tree Hill).
  • Korbi is asking which Tuesday show you miss the most and 90210 is one of the options.
  • Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, Gossip Girl) spoke at Barnard, her alma mater, last weekend.
  • The Celebrity Cafe has an interview with James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek).
  • IFC.com has an interesting article on Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) and her career.
