RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: Got any Gossip Girl/Jenny Humphrey scoops? –Giovanni
Ausiello:
According to exec producer Stephanie Savage, Dan’s kid sis “has a big Blair, Mean Girls story for the end of the season that also ties in with the Rufus/Lily story. And you will see that a new course has been charted for Jenny Humphrey in the fall.”

Question: Do we know anything about Gossip Girl‘s prom episode? –Charisma
Ausiello:
Only that No Doubt will be performing, just not in this decade and not as No Doubt. “No Doubt is going to be playing in our ’80s flashback/[spin-off] episode,” reveals Stephanie Savage. “They’re playing an up-and-coming ’80s band.”

Question: Will we ever meet Harry’s real son on 90210? –Christopher
Ausiello:
Not this season. And probably not next, either. Newly crowned show-runner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair says “there was an overabundance of adoption-centric stories when I came to the show. And I didn’t feel like we could tell the story of the real son on the heels of the imposter son, because the issues that they would be going through would be too similar. So I don’t think there’s a place for that this year, but that’s definitely something that’s out there.” Speaking of 90210, I hear the first new episode back is nuts. And I mean that in a good way.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Korbi, You said that Nate and Blair would be a blip in the Gossip Girl time line, but now I hear that Nate is gonna ask Blair to move in with him. No hope for Chuck and Blair this season? Please, answer me, I really would like to know. I feel like giving up Gossip Girl. -Fernanda
Don’t give up, woman. There is always hope for Chuck and Blair. Always. The writers fully understand that C.B. and Blair belong together, but they can’t just couple them up and be done with it. You’d get bored, don’t you think? Instead, they have to throw roadblocks like Nate Archibald, Carter Baizen (played by Leighton Meester‘s real life boyfriend) and that Gentleman’s Club chick in the way. Yes, not only will Blair and Nate be a thing, but Blair will give it up to Carter even before that, and Chuck will fall for the shady lady he was stalking last we saw him. The good news is, there are a few quality Chuck-Blair scenes on tap for the March 23rd episode. Chuck’s affection for Ms. Waldorf will rise to the surface once again. It’s just too little too late for the time being.

If Blair and Nate are going to be together, what happens to him and Vanessa? I like them together. -Cat
Me too. And they will be together when we jump back into the Gossip world next Monday. Actually, they’ll be together the following week too. But issues between them will begin to flare up, and ultimately, it seems their lack of common interests and disparate backgrounds will be the death of them.

What’s up with Dan and the teacher on Gossip Girl? Will they get caught? -P
Affirmative. Rufus finds out what’s going on and he’s not happy. However, Rachel has a dark side that we haven’t yet seen. Seems she has more in common with Blair than we were led to believe.

Top 5 Biggest Vixens Pt. 3

11 03 2009

Part One, Part Two

3. Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)

They don’t call her Queen B for nothing.  Blair rules teenageland on the Upper East Side, ruining the reputations of those around here in the time it takes to send a text message.  Complete with her very own possee, Blair sets the standard for popularity, deciding whether to make or break those around her, particularly poor little Jenny Humphrey.  Blair often escapes punishment for misdeeds, using her charm and trickery to make sure she always comes out on top.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Please tell me the student-teacher sex storyline on Gossip Girl will be short-lived. Talk about cliché! — Charles
MICKEY:
While “hot for teacher” isn’t exactly breaking new narrative ground to begin with, here’s my thing: Rachel isn’t even that hot, and neither is the chemistry she shares with Dan Ho-Humphrey. So I’m with you, Charles, they should put this story to bed, so to speak, as soon as possible. And it looks like they’re going to — in a very surprising way. The bad news: Chuck’s hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold from the Eyes Wide Shut party turns up again like a bad penny. Emphasis on bad. And pennies.

Is it me or is the fashion on 90210 not so fashion-y? — Tara
MICKEY: On most days, my only major fashion decision goes something like: “Corduroy jacket or pants?” So take this all with a grain of salt. I think Silver has an interesting look, but Annie and Naomi dress like they got lost in Gabrielle Carteris’ wardrobe trailer. Amirite? But that’s all about to end, as there is professional help on the horizon. Wait until you see who’s going to help the ladies pick out their prom dresses. I die.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and More

10 03 2009
  • Michael Steger (Navid, 90210) says he’ll get more air time as Adrianna’s (Jessica Lowndes) pregnany progresses but he doesn’t what his other storylines, if any, will be.
  • Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) says he doesn’t know if AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) will be joining him in the Twilight sequel, New Moon.
  • Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) says she’s “the happiest I’ve ever been” and won’t follow Britney Spears in her (now over?) downward spiral.
  • Matt Barr (Psycho Derek, One Tree Hill) has been added to the cast of the Gossip Girl spin-off.  Since his character’s last name is van der Woodsen, he could be Lily’s future husband and Serena and Eric’s dad.  Or they could be trying to throw us.  Maybe she ends up marrying his brother or cousin or something?  And where does Rufus play a role in this if he’s supposedly the great love of her younger life??
  • Kate Voegle (Mia, One Tree Hill) is working on a new album in addition to filming OTH episodes.
  • Madchen Amick (Catherine, Gossip Girl; Nicole, Dawson’s Creek) has been cast in an ABC pilot.
  • SoapNet has acquired all the seasons of Gilmore Girls but no word yet when it will air or if this will break up the daily and weekend blocks of One Tree Hill, The O.C., and Beverly Hills 90210.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Antonia in Miami: Please, I need some Gossip Girl scoop on Blair and Chuck! And good news, too. I’m tired of the bad news.
I can offer you a little good news about Chuck and Blair on Gossip Girl, but unfortunately it’s just a setup for the bad news. Nate notices that Chuck and Blair have a major bond (yay!), but that leads him to respond/retaliate by asking Blair to move in with him (boo!). However, there will be some upcoming Chair scenes for you kiddos, because Mr. and Mrs. Marvelous join forces to investigate Serena’s new man, whom they both don’t much like. At least it’s something.

Belinda in Memphis, Tenn.: What’s up with season three of Gossip Girl? Do we know anything yet?
I know that Blair gets into NYU and Nate gets into Columbia.

Cynthia in Seattle: Anything coming up with the Elle/Chuck storyline on Gossip Girl?
According to Kate French (Elle), “Elle kind of steals Chuck Bass’ heart, and it gets really complicated, and he gets entangled in all of these webs of lies and different storylines that are going on. It’s very mysterious.” Hopefully Chuck won’t be smitten for too long, but then again how can we blame him when Blair’s about to go off and hook up with his BFF, Nate?

Alexandra in Lynchburg, Va.: Thanks for including all three Scotts in the Alpha Male Madness tournament. I’m personally working hard to take down Dan Scott. Now give me One Tree Hill scoop, woman!
OK, but only because you’re gunning for TV’s “man most in need of a beatdown!” Anyhoo, look for Nick Lachey and Julian to come to blows, and Skills is getting a new girl! He moves on from Nanny Deb to Jamie’s teacher (Allison Munn, whom you might remember as Amanda Bynes‘ character’s BFF on What I Like About You).

Site of the Week

One resource in particular was invaluable to me last week as I worked on the Most Quote-Worthy Characters series.

Wikiquote

Wikiquote is part of the Wikimedia family, which is also responsible for Wikipedia, Wiktionary, etc.

Wikiquote takes Wikipedia’s general purpose of providing information and narrows it down to simply providing quotes.

They have some of the best collections of Dawson’s Creek, The O.C. and One Tree Hill quotes I’ve seen.

Unfortunately, the Gossip Girl and 90210 (old and new) sections are lacking.

But if you have a lot of time and want to relive some memorable lines, or if you’re looking for something in particular, Wikiquote is great place to start your search.
