Bryan Greenberg on One Tree Hill

3 04 2010

“I am very thankful for the time I had on the show but for me it was a long time ago. I am totally thankful for the experience and the fans it brought me but my whole thing is to keep moving forward and keep challenging myself, keep changing it up.”

Happy Birthday Bethany Joy Galeotti!

2 04 2010

Galeotti (Haley, One Tree Hill) turns 29 today!

Love this very meta clip of a 17-year-old BJG during her first stint on Guiding Light in 1998.

Spoiler: Ask Ausiello

1 04 2010

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: It’s time for some 90210 scoop. Make it something good. —Sarah
Ausiello:
Jen returns with big news that may or may not involve a valuable (and iconic) piece of real estate.

Question: Some scoop please on the upcoming Gossip Girl indecent proposal storyline. You called it first, now please give us more. Pretty please! —Jordan
Ausiello:
The promo for next week’s episode gives away pretty much everything… except the big twist.

Question: Okay, I’ll bite: What happens immediately after the scene with Chuck at the top of the Empire State Building in the Gossip Girl finale? —Larissa
Ausiello:
Something really bad and potentially irreparable.

Question: I have to have some One Tree Hill scoop — preferably on the season finale and the show’s renewal status. —Nick
Ausiello:
I have a very strong hunch The CW will give the show a 13-episode pickup, although we’ll probably have to wait until May for an official announcement. Don’t know too much about the finale, except that it ends with an outta-nowhere cliffhanger.

Question: Is Life Unexpected coming back for a second season? I fall deeper in love with it each week. —Jill
Ausiello:
If the ratings hold steady, I think we’re looking at a 13-episode thingamajig here as well. On the scoop front, Baze finally confesses his feelings for Cate in next Monday’s road trip-themed episode. Unfortunately, the person he comes clean to is Lux.

Just remember the so-called “indecent proposal” storyline was done on Beverly Hills 90210 in season 6, with Valerie, David and Ginger. I also mentioned this in February when Ausiello first hinted this storyline was coming up.

This is the clearest sign we’ve gotten yet about One Tree Hill–but don’t pop the champagne bottles yet (or bash in your TV, whatever your opinion).

Life Unexpected stars Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek).

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and More

31 03 2010
  • My 90210 reaction post will be delayed due to a screw up with my DVR. My apologies.
  • Last night’s 90210 (1.5 million viewers rounded up) dropped a tiny bit in the ratings compared to last week, hitting a new season- and series-low. If you recall, last week also rounded to 1.5, but the unrounded number this time is even lower (1.480 versus 1.508).
  • EW.com has an interview with Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) about Dancing With The Stars.
  • Doherty apparently declined to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, which all other eliminated contestants have done in the past, but she did appear on Good Morning America this morning.
  • My colleagues at Gossip Cop had the task of busting another false Doherty rumor.
  • Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Valerie, Beverly Hills 90210) had a baby shower hosted by Naomi Lowde, wife of Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210).

  • Twenty-seven percent of “media buyers” surveyed believe One Tree Hill is the veteran show most at-risk for cancellation.

  • SoapNet has an O.C. I.Q. quiz. Unlike the One Tree Hill one, I only got a 7o percent this time! I was told: “You know your OC well enough to hang with the gang at Newport Union, but if you want to crack Harbor High’s inner circle, you might need to brush up.” Ouch.
  • JustJared has–dare I say it–a pretty good interview with Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.).
  • PEOPLE.com has details on the divorce settlement between James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) and his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Weekly Poll

24 03 2010

In the last Weekly Poll, a decent-sized majority–62 percent–don’t want to see Alex become a singer on One Tree Hill, though 27 percent say it depends on the music and how it would be used and 11 percent think it would really add to her character. Forty-nine percent think Gossip Girl’s Rufus would never cheat while 30 percent weren’t sure and 21 percent said it seemed very likely that he did cheat. In the third poll, 42 percent of voters noticed Navid was MIA in last week’s 90210 and missed him, though 29 percent didn’t notice and thought it was terrible. Still, another 17 percent noticed and weren’t bothered but 12 didn’t notice and thought it was a good thing.
