My Autographed OTH Backpack!

11 03 2009

Every year my school, Northwestern University, holds a huge charity event called Dance Marathon.  Aside from dancing for 30 hours straight to raise awareness about a specific cause (this year it was for Project Kindle), there are other events such as a silent auction.

On Saturday I was stunned into bliss when I saw one particular item up for bid: an autographed One Tree Hill backpack, donated courtesy of one Hilarie Burton!

There was only one bid at that time–a measley $20–and I wasn’t going to let anyone stop me from winning it!  Fifty bucks later, this piece of memorabilia was all mine!

No idea how they got Hilarie to donate it, or why all the main characters signed except Sophia Bush, but I couldn’t be happier!

Check it out for yourself…

Top 5 Biggest Vixens Pt. 2

10 03 2009

Part One

4. Rachel Gatina (One Tree Hill)

When Rachel joined the show in season 3, she took sex appeal to a whole new level.  Instantly making waves with Brooke as she tried to control the cheerleading squad and work her way in Lucas’ pants, Rachel became Tree Hill’s resident bitch.  No guy was off limits (even married Nathan or the older Uncle Cooper!), she stole a math exam and unleashed the time capsule that led to the school shooting.  She later struggles with a drug problem, disappointing Brooke yet again.

Site of the Week

9 03 2009

One resource in particular was invaluable to me last week as I worked on the Most Quote-Worthy Characters series.

Wikiquote

Wikiquote is part of the Wikimedia family, which is also responsible for Wikipedia, Wiktionary, etc.

Wikiquote takes Wikipedia’s general purpose of providing information and narrows it down to simply providing quotes.

They have some of the best collections of Dawson’s Creek, The O.C. and One Tree Hill quotes I’ve seen.

Unfortunately, the Gossip Girl and 90210 (old and new) sections are lacking.

But if you have a lot of time and want to relive some memorable lines, or if you’re looking for something in particular, Wikiquote is great place to start your search.

No new episodes tonight!

9 03 2009

But there is good news!

This is the last week of repeats!  Hooray!

Here’s what you can expect tonight:

Gossip Girl: Carnal Knowledge (My Reaction Post)

One Tree Hill: Screenwriter’s Blues (My Reaction Post)

(These were the last new episodes before the hiatus)

Random Question

7 03 2009

One of the things Peyton (Hilarie Burton, One Tree Hill) is known for is her crying.

So I’m wondering…

How many episodes has she actually cried in?

Surely someone out there has been keeping track!
