RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Any scoop on the new season of 90210? — Ilya
MICKEY:
Dixon and Ivy’s relationship/dudeship/whatever will be seriously strained when Leo, a family friend from the U.K., comes to stay with Ivy and Laurel to do a postgraduate year at West Bev (because that happens). Everyone we talk to compares him to the protagonist of The Talented Mr. Ripley, which is definitely not a good sign.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Give me scoop on 90210 next season. — Nando
MICKEY: Ryan Eggold tells us that Mr. Matthews’ spectacular flame-out in the season finale is just the beginning of the expectant daddy’s journey. “It’s kind of fun to play [drunk],” he says. “I would love to continue, but he’s going to have a kid now. He’ll be struggling to clean up and focus on raising a child and being a good dad.”

  • Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) tweeted that he booked a movie that films in October and November…which means he’ll  have to work out the schedule with 90210, especially since he’s been upgraded to series regular.
  • Both new issues of In Touch and Us Weekly have nice group pictures of some of the Beverly Hills 90210 stars at Ian Ziering’s (Steve, Beverly Hills 90210) wedding. There might be some in the other tabloids, too, but I haven’t combed through those yet.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Is Rob Estes leaving 90210? — Barbara
MICKEY: Yes. As has been previously reported, neither he nor Jennie Garth will be back next season. It’s no secret that the new showrunners have officially shut down Operation Nostalgia. Shannen Doherty tells us that plans for Brenda to return have been scrapped, and don’t expect Donna to ever drop in from Tokyo again — with or without David.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Please tell me that we’ve seen the last of Javier on 90210. I want Adrianna and Navid to stay together! — Amanda
MICKEY: You’ll get your wish — for now. As long as Adrianna can turn a blind eye to Navid’s shameless whoring around Bon Temps, Navianna will have its moment in the sun. But don’t forget that Ade is going on tour with Javier this summer, so there’s a pretty good chance we’ll see him again in the fall. At least that’s what pop star Diego Boneta, who plays Javier, told us.

Note:

Hm, we were kind of left with a cliff-hanger last night: would Adrianna go on tour or not go on tour? Is this our answer?

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and The O.C.

18 05 2010
  • In case you missed it earlier, The CW renewed One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected. They also picked up Nikita and Hellcats, and canceled Melrose Place.
  • Broadcasting & Cable has a short but interesting piece looking at the state of The CW network.
  • According to Star News, 13 episodes of One Tree Hill have been ordered. Haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere else.
  • Last night’s One Tree Hill (2 million viewers) dropped slightly and Gossip Girl (2 million viewers rounded up) rose a bit in the ratings compared to last week.
  • I have mixed thoughts on The TV Addict’s “open letter” to Mark Schwahn (creator, One Tree Hill). Most of it is irrelevant now, since OTH was renewed.
  • Korbi has an article speculating on whether Clay (Robert Buckley, One Tree Hill) and Quinn (Shantel Van Santen, One Tree Hill) survive the finale’s shooting…which to my knowledge, they do. And it’s not a true spoiler. I mean, I’m pretty positive the actors have contracts for season 8…
  • Now that season 8 is a go, Christy-Anne will be hosting another fan reunion, this time in the summer.
  • Buckley shared some of his favorite scenes in an interview with MTV.
  • TVGuide.com has a look at some of “One Tree Hill’s Craziest Moments.”

  • The CW Source has a very short video interview with Michael Steger (Navid, 90210). I didn’t watch it but it’s likely spoilish if you haven’t seen tonight’s ep.
  • Gossip Cop has an article on the reconciliation between Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and mom Candy Spelling.
  • Emma Caulfield (Susan, Beverly Hills 90210) is getting divorced.
