- Quite a few teen drama stars, past and present, made BuddyTV’s list of the Sexiest Men and Sexiest Women of 2009. Seriously, an actor or actress from every one of our teen dramas was included!
- Last night’s 90210 (1.9 million viewers) a small drop in the ratings compared to last week but a tie for the season low.
- EW.com has a great recap of last night’s 90210, complete with a reference to The O.C.
- The Los Angeles Times also has wonderful recap–and they linked to TDW! Here’s the bad part: according this article, 90210 won’t be back til March! The CW seemingly confirmed it in an e-mail they sent out earlier tonight saying to watch 90210 “this spring.”
- Gossip Girl is being turned into a comic book/graphic novel.
- Monsters and Critics has an article on Mischa Barton (Marissa, The O.C.)
- Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) is in a new PSA on global warming.

8 12 2009RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Wally in Orlando: Do you know anything about what Glee will be up to in April?
Glee is going all One Tree Hill! Don’t worry, Chad Michael Murray won’t guest star, but Finn will be playing basketball instead of football when the show returns April 13, because…football season is over, dummies! “It’s basketball now. Finn Hudson is the captain o the basketball team.” Also, we would bet some seriously good money that Adam Lambert will indeed guest star on the show, because a source who tells us everything about everything clammed up with a “no comment” when asked about the rumor that it is really happening. Quick, Chris Colfer, grab a keyboard!
K.J. in the Caribbean: When will The Secret Life of the American Teenager be back?
Jan. 4, and according to Shailene Woodley, “There might be another pregnancy, [and] a couple of weddings, hookups, breakups, all that drama.” Look for Shailene’s storylines to split between her relationship with the baby and her relationship with Ricky. Plus, Francia Raisa tells us, “There are a lot of new hookups, especially with me. I’m gonna tease you guys a lot this season. My character’s grown a lot in the season that’s coming up, and then she has a huge storyline coming up toward the end of the season. It’s really good, so dramatic, really juicy.” Any guesses about Adrian’s big twist?
Meagan in New Jersey: The spoiler chat needs more One Tree Hill. Have anything juicy to share?
I’m hearing from a source that Taylor James, Hailey and Quinn’s bad seed sister from season two, will be back! Lindsey McKeon is reprising her role as Taylor—and she’s not coming back empty handed. She might just have another James family member by her side, and wait a sec, who’s that man on her arm? Hint: You’ve definitely seen him before. Word is, Taylor will be back somewhere around episode 14.
Noelle in Normal, Ill.: Gossip Girl Insider says that a new episode will be on Jan. 4. They are liars, right?
Perhaps misinformed? We’re told that after tonight’s episode, the next new one will be Monday, March 8, per the show’s CW rep. In other more exciting Gossip Girl news, I’m told Serena’s father will come back sometime toward the end of the season. And sadly, for all you who write in week after week asking if there will be some hot and steamy Chuck and Blair sex scenes coming up, I’m still not hearing of anything scantily clad or scandalous. Now you know what to ask for from Santa!
Randall in Atlanta: 90210, please! Who is going to commit suicide?!
I can’t say who, but I can tell you that he—yes, he—is not leaving the show. So it is just a suicide attempt. In other news, the Adriana and Gia ladylove storyline starts when 90210 returns from hiatus, and Navid will wonder if he made Adrianna gay. (Apparently he isn’t aware how such things work!) I’m told that Silver and Teddy develop a full-fledged relationship, but of course, they will have their complications…
Nell in Watsonville, Calif.: Any scoop on 90210? I’m addicted!
We’ll be meeting Liam’s slickster ex-con father in an upcoming episode. (Ex Duke of Hazzard John Schneider plays Liam’s stepfather, in case you were confused.) Got any dream casting for the part?
****
Notes:
Shailene Woodley played the original Kaitlin on The O.C.
Both Haley and Adrianna are spelled incorrectly.
We already know Taylor is coming back, based on the preview we saw last night, and it’s presumably in the January 18th episode which is number 13.
The statement that whoever attempts suicide on 90210 is not leaving the show contradicts the Mega Buzz spoiler that says said person–or at least a related person–is leaving the show.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More
8 12 2009- The New York Post and MTV have interviews has an interview with Jana Kramer (Alex, One Tree Hill) mostly about her current storyline.
- Kramer also shared her top 5 favorite movies. I’m sure Julian would be interested by that!
- The CW Source has a video interview with Robert Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill).
- You can find out more about the WakeyWakey song performed in last night’s episode here.
- Cheap Trick will appear on an upcoming episode of One Tree Hill.
- Examiner.com has an interview with Joe Manganiello (Owen, One Tree Hill). Have you read my interview with him?
- Gossip Girl, 90210 and Dawson’s Creek are all mentioned in this article on music partnerships with TV shows.
- TVGuide.com has a spoilish interview with Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210).
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was honored at the Power of Youth event for her work with The Blind Project.
- Blogcritics has a pretty decent commentary on Beverly Hills 90210: The Eighth Season.
- Dean McDermott also confirmed that wife Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and mother Candy Spelling are reconciling.
- The O.C. is number 25 on HitFix’s Best of the Decade list. This is quite possibly the best written tribute I’ve ever seen for this show.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl and The O.C.
7 12 2009- A recap of last week’s 90210 managed to cleverly tie in both Gossip Girl and The O.C.
- Josh Schwartz, creator of both Gossip Girl and The O.C., gave Entertainment Weekly his picks for the decade’s best music.
- Gossip Girl’s riff on The O.C.’s season 3 cliff-hanger in last week’s episode, though apparently quite common, was criticized in at least 2 recaps.
- WEEKEND named The O.C. one of the best shows of the decade.
- Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) is featured on the cover of a magazine whose name I can’t even read.
- Bilson is in a disturbingly graphic but slightly funny new Funny or Die video.
- The Post-Tribune has a feature on Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) and his one-man show.
- Shannon Lucio (Lindsay, The O.C.) has joined the cast of True Blood.
- Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) is on the cover of the December issue of Lucky. Coincidentally, Bilson was on the cover of the November issue.

7 12 2009- Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and husband Peter Facinelli are on the cover of PEOPLE’s special holiday extra edition. PEOPLE.com has a video from the photo shoot.
- Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and mom Candy Spelling have reportedly reconciled.
- Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) is featured in a new video for The Killers. Interestingly enough (but I’m sure not purposefully), it somewhat echoes the season 5 episode where Dylan revisits his past lives.
- Perry, Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210), Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill), Joshua Jackson (Pacey, Dawson’s Creek) and Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) made AOL’s list of the Top 50 Teen Idols. Perry ranks the best at number 7, while CMM is at 13, Crawford came in at 17 with Priestley right after at 18 and Jackson sits at number 20 while McKenzie is at 31. Also on the list is John Schneider who recently played Liam’s step-dad on 90210.
- Ryan Eggold (Ryan, 90210) is included in PEOPLE.com’s Sexy at Every Age photo gallery.
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was on The Tonight Show last week and Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) was on Rachael Ray.
- Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that he’s filmed 3 episodes for his appearance on the new 90210.
- If you missed Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl) on SNL last week, here are some of the promos and recaps: EW.com, EW.com again and Zap2it.
- Zap2it has a photo gallery called “The Quotable Blair Waldorf,” which feature quotes and photos from season 3.
- OTHPodcast.com has been revamped.
- There’s photos on Facebook of James Laffety (Nathan, One Tree Hill) and Robert Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill) in character for The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An Ameican Conspiracy.
- If you live near New York City, Kate Voegele (Mia, One Tree Hill) will be at the lighting of the NYSE Christmas tree this Thursday.

Hiatus Over!
7 12 2009I’m baaaaaaack!
Did ya miss me? Because I missed you! I even had a nightmare that, upon my return, I forgot to live-blog tonight’s episodes! Have no fear, though; we are now back to our regularly scheduled programming. In addition to live-blogging this week’s new episodes of One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and 90210, I’ll (hopefully) have reaction posts up beforehand for last week’s eps. Plus the next several days will be jam-packed with all the news and spoilers that weren’t posted while I was away.
Believe it or not, even in Cancun, I was able to (somewhat) get my teen drama fix. The Sony Entertainment channel airs Beverly Hills 90210 twice a day Monday-Friday (the same episode; they’re currently in season 9) and 90210 a few times a week (the same episode; they’re currently in early season 2). Then there’s WB TV (WB!!!), which airs Gossip Girl at 11pm Sunday nights (currently in early season 3). Neither channel, or any other I got in the hotel, aired One Tree Hill. I did get to see some episodes of Felicity which, though, not a teen drama, I have always regretted not watching it when it originally aired. I really enjoyed it, as it has many teen drama elements, just in a college setting (which some of our teen dramas have gone on to show).
I hope you all had a wonderful week and are as excited as I am to get back into the teen drama swing of things!

Hiatus!
29 11 2009From tomorrow through next Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, TeenDramaWhore.com will be on hiatus.
I’ll be taking a solo trip to Cancun–a last-minute decision but a long-held desire.
Here’s the best way I can explain it:
Remember in season 1 of Dawson’s Creek when Joey had the opportunity to go to Paris but passed it up?
A few years later, she was at the airport and again had the option of going but decided not to.
Then, finally, in the last season and the second-to-last episode, Joey finally makes it there.
This is my Paris.
Not Cancun, specifically. But to take a trip by myself where I not only get some R & R but–more importantly–have the time to do some serious self-reflection.
I’ve made some big life changes in the last few months but have had little time to process as I’ve just been going going going. I worry that if I don’t stop and breathe or achieve this dream while I have the opportunity to do so, I’ll live to regret it.
Unfortunately, that means I won’t be here to live-blog this week’s One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and 90210 or even provide each day’s news.
I feel very guilty, as if I’m abandoning you, but I hope you understand.
And I also hope that you’ll be here waiting for me when I get back!
See you in a week!

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, The O.C. and Dawson’s Creek
25 11 2009- A publication at my alma mater, North by Northwestern, has an interview with Kellan Lutz (George, 90210).
- Kristin has Gossip Girl spoilers.
- The Vanessa-Olivia aspect of the Gossip Girl threesome and Alex-Marissa on The O.C. are included in E! Online’s Hot Girl-on-Girl Action gallery.
- The O.C.’s Chrismukkah episodes made TVGuide.com’s list of Best Holiday and Christmas TV Episodes.
- It figures: when I move away from Chicago, Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) starts doing solo-shows there. Darn! (I did pass him on my campus once but realized too late that it was him!)
- One of the tabloids has a short piece on a “Dawson’s Creek love curse.” (See image 7.) Notably and conveniently absent is Joshua Jackson (Pacey) since he happens to be in a committed relationship.
- Jack (Kerr Smith, Dawson’s Creek) is included in E! Online’s Gays on TV gallery.
