- According to the new issue of Soap Opera Weekly, Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210) is once again “in talks” with General Hospital. I haven’t read the article. (You’ll notice Zack Conroy is also on the cover. He appeared on one episode of Gossip Girl as Ben, the guy Blair meets at the airplane when Chuck stands her up in the season 1 finale).
- Star News has an article on One Tree Hill’s success this year, noting how the 7th season means it surpassed Dawson’s Creek as Wilmington’s longest running show. It also made OTH the second longest running teen drama.

28 10 2009- The Los Angeles Times has “five burning questions” on 90210. Spoilers already revealed the answers to numbers 3 and 4 but it’s still worth a read.
- Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that he’s “making his return to the new 90210.” I guess that means he’ll be playing Cliff? Who knows, though, considering 90210 2.0’s inconsistency. Last month, Vaughan was fired from General Hospital.

Before They Were Teen Drama Stars
17 08 2009They may have been young when they first entered the teen drama world, but many of the actors had careers in the industry already.
This week I’ll go show-by-show to highlight what some of them were on before they were teen drama stars.

Melrose Place and 90210 Pt. 2
1 04 2009Looks like there will be a 90210-Melrose Place cross-over after all!
Ryan Eggold, who plays Ryan Matthews on 90210, will take his character to Melrose, where we’ll see his life outside of school.
The news is kind of surprising since Eggold panned the idea of a Melrose remake.
So what do you think? Can this work?
General Hospital has done something similar with its spin-off, Night Shift, and managed to maintain continuity. But the original 90210 and Melrose Place cut ties very early on.
Guess time will tell!

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl and Dawson’s Creek
17 01 2009- Do any of you watch Skins? The Washington Post says it makes Gossip Girl and 90210 “look like ‘Little House on the Prairie.'”
- What do the 90210 stars, new and old, think about football and the Superbowl? You can find out here.
- Ouch! A new article calls 90210 “spineless” and Gossip Girl “shallow.” The article names Friday Night Lights the “teen drama MVP.” If that’s right, apparently I should be covering it…
- Michael Steger (Navid, 90210) has managed to keep a low-profile since the series began. He opens up a teensy bit in this new article.
- It’s not 90210 and sure ain’t General Hospital. Instead, Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210) is headed to Without a Trace.
- The Boston Globe has a great article about Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek), her new movie Wendy and Lucy, and life after Heath. You can read it here.

Vanessa Marcil in TV Movie
2 01 2009

Marcil and BAG (with son Kassius) circa 2004
If you’ve seen her on Beverly Hills, 90210 (Gina) or General Hospital (Brenda), you probably only think of Vanessa Marcil as a vixen or a sexpot. In a new TV movie (airing Sunday on the Hallmark Channel), she’s playing against type. The role? A nanny. But the highlight of this new interview with TV Guide is definitely the props she gives to ex-fiance/babydaddy Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210)
