I am not posting ratings for last night’s One Tree Hill until the final numbers are announced. I’ve been told they’re delayed due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The CW sent out a press release–based on the early numbers, which they normally use–saying Life Unexpected’s total viewers was the most for the 9pm timeslot in more than a year. That means it outperformed One Tree Hill last year (from 1/12/09 til the end of the season) and Gossip Girl all of this season.

Examiner.com has an article on Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) and Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill)–who are totally together, it seems–attending the The Art of Elysium’s annual gala.

Ausiello is reporting Billy Baldwin has been cast as father to Serena (Blake Lively, Gossip Girl) and Eric (Connor Paolo, Gossip Girl), ex-husband to Lily (Kelly Rutherford, Gossip Girl). Matt Barr (Ian “Psycho Derek” Banks, One Tree Hill) played the young version of Keith in the 80s flashback episode in season 2. Some are saying Keith isn’t S and E’s father and this E! Online article says its William van der Woodsen but I am just confused by it all.
I typically don’t link to sites like this but I was just so stunned by this claim that I can’t ignore it. Radar Online is “exclusively” reporting that Rob Estes (Harry, 90210) has quit the show. Some of their facts are clearly wrong: they say “The next season is set to air in the close future – a date has yet to be released by CW as they gear up to debut their new line-up.” The next season–if there is a next season–wouldn’t typically air til the fall and wouldn’t even be announced for a while longer. I am hoping a mainstream, credible site will quickly confirm or deny their report.
The same Radar article also has details on Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and her exit from the show. These seem to be legit as the quotes are coming from her manager, rather than anonymous sources.
Garth is starring in a new webseries, called Garden Party. Garth previously appeared in the webseries The Broadroom.
Smokin’ Aces 2, starring Autumn Reeser (Taylor, The O.C.), is out on DVD today. Reeser and I discussed the film in our interview and she discusses it in this new one as well. Reeser also mentions her appearance years ago on Star Trek, which starred Jeri Ryan (Charlotte, The O.C.)

Emmanuelle Chriqui, who played Alex’s ex in two episodes of The O.C. was named the Most Desirable Woman of 2010.

Peter Facinelli, husband to Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) has reportedly confirmed that Garth is done with 90210 but Garth herself says here that she’s just done for “a while.”
Dustin Milligan (Ethan, 90210) is starring in a new film called Repeaters. He talks about 90210 a little bit in the interview.
Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Kristen Bell (Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl) and Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) were among the presenters at tonight’s Golden Globes. Wilde will be auctioning the dress she wore for charity.
Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has a new blog post on the SoGoPro site.
This article on Life Unexpected, starring Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek) has quite a few teen drama references. And this one has a few DC mentions. Don’t forget: the show premieres tomorrow night after One Tree Hill! (And I’ll be live-blogging OTH).
This interview with a 9-year-old actress has some cute Michelle Wiliams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) mentions.

Quite a few teen drama stars, past and present, made BuddyTV’s list of the Sexiest Men and Sexiest Women of 2009. Seriously, an actor or actress from every one of our teen dramas was included!
Last night’s 90210 (1.9 million viewers) a small drop in the ratings compared to last week but a tie for the season low.
EW.com has a great recap of last night’s 90210, complete with a reference to The O.C.
The Los Angeles Times also has wonderful recap–and they linked to TDW! Here’s the bad part: according this article, 90210 won’t be back til March! The CW seemingly confirmed it in an e-mail they sent out earlier tonight saying to watch 90210 “this spring.”
Gossip Girl is being turned into a comic book/graphic novel.
Monsters and Critics has an article on Mischa Barton (Marissa, The O.C.)
Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) is in a new PSA on global warming.

A recap of last week’s 90210 managed to cleverly tie in both Gossip Girl and The O.C.
Josh Schwartz, creator of both Gossip Girl and The O.C., gave Entertainment Weekly his picks for the decade’s best music.
Gossip Girl’s riff on The O.C.’s season 3 cliff-hanger in last week’s episode, though apparently quite common, was criticized in at least 2 recaps.
WEEKEND named The O.C. one of the best shows of the decade.
Rachel Bilson (Summer, The O.C.) is featured on the cover of a magazine whose name I can’t even read.
Bilson is in a disturbingly graphic but slightly funny new Funny or Die video.
The Post-Tribune has a feature on Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) and his one-man show.
Shannon Lucio (Lindsay, The O.C.) has joined the cast of True Blood.
Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) is on the cover of the December issue of Lucky. Coincidentally, Bilson was on the cover of the November issue.

Two Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) films–Mother May I Sleep With Danger and Co-Ed Call Girl–made AOL’s list of Most Awesome Lifetime Movie Titles Ever.
Rihanna has refuted reports that she’s dating Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210).
MTV has several articles jointly featuring Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) and Nikki Reed (Sadie, The O.C.), all related to Twilight and New Moon.
Zap2it and AOL have interviews with Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.).
Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) stars in Fix, which starts tomorrow in some areas. Perez Hilton posted a pretty picture of her.

Last night’s One Tree Hill (2.2 million viewers) and Gossip Girl (2.0 million viewers rounded up) has a decent drop in the ratings, compared to last week. Gossip Girl technically didn’t even hit the 2 million mark (again, I rounded up).

Both One Tree Hill (2.5 million viewers) and Gossip Girl (2.4 million rounded up) improved in the ratings last night when compared to last week.
The CW is asking viewers to vote on “the most scandalous moment,” with scenes from One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl being the candidates.
