Maurice in Pittsburgh: What the what? I just read Josh Schwartz’s quote that Jenny and Chuck have something coming up on Gossip Girl. Please tell me Little J is not coming between Blair and Chuck. I’ll die!
Your life is spared. An inside source tells me that Jenny and Chuck don’t really have any big storylines together this season, so I’m assuming Josh meant Jenny will have a big storyline and Chuck will have a big storyline, but they are not the same storyline. Chuck’s story involves the possible surprise return of his believed-to-be-dead mother (and Jack Bass), and Jenny’s involves another couple she comes between…guesses?

Wanda Two Saints: Kristin, are you really not going to tell us who Jenny will be interfering with? That’s low, even for you!
Only because I like old friends with bad glasses, I will reveal that Jenny is going to “get in between Nate and Serena,” according to my rock-solid Gossip Girl source. We likey? We hatey? I’m thinking more of the latter…

Drew in St. Paul, Minn.: Has Serena’s father been cast yet on Gossip Girl?
Not yet. But he’s coming before the season ends.

Holly: How about some news on 90210? I’ll take anything on Dixon…love him.
And apparently he loves to gamble. Or he will, soon. I’m also hearing we will meet Teddy’s movie star father, Spence.

  • Both One Tree Hill (2.1 million viewers) and Gossip Girl (also 2.1 when rounded up) dropped significantly in the ratings compared to last week.
  • The CW Source has a podcast about last night’s One Tree Hill, as well as one for last week’s ep and last week’s Gossip Girl.
  • There’s another Mark Schwahn preview for next week’s One Tree Hill.
  • There’s a new One Tree Hill Connection podcast, this one featuring an interview with Lindsay Wolfington, the show’s music supervisor.

Ausiello: Rumor has it you smell, but you don’t see me spreading that around, do you? Here’s your damn GG scoop: Tyra Banks’ guest turn as a tempestuous film actress in Monday’s episode is highlarious. Even better, she wasn’t trying to be funny, so you’ll be laughing at her and not with her! Awesome, right? Well, the news just keeps getting better ’cause I gots me a clip!

Question: I’d give my left hand and my first two children (named Aus and Hole, of course) if you would give us a juicy Gossip Girl scoop. The Dan-Georgina hookup ruined Brooklyn for me forever! —Erin
Ausiello: Well, there’s no D&G in Monday’s episode. There is a fair amount of D&D (Dan and Duff, as in Hilary), and, I have to say, I don’t hate them together. I’m also kind of loving Chuck and Blair as an official couple. Kudos to Team Schwavage for doing what few TV writers have ever been able to — making an entertaining couple even more entertaining together than apart.

Question: Anything on One Tree Hill? —Anita
Ausiello: Casting scoop! Former NFL star and Hall of Famer John Riggins has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Clay’s boss, Ken Arthur. The sometime-actor (Law & Order: CI, Guiding Light) shows up in episode 10.

  • E!Online posted “sneak peeks” of the Gossip Girl premiere.
  • The second-to-last round of the Gossip Girl tournament has been posted.

Olivia in Cape Coral, Fla.: Is Mischa Barton going to be on The Beautiful Life or what?
 Sources close to The Beautiful Life remain hopeful that Mischa’s health will hold up enough for her to be on the series, but no one knows for sure yet. Her character, imperious supermodel Sonja, has already been written in to the first several episodes of the season, so if Mischa can’t make it, things will get messy fast.

Kiera in San Diego: Got any new scoop on Gossip Girl?
We sure do. Thanks to Gossip Girl show runner Josh Schwartz, who tells us: “Well, you know Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) is coming back even though she is at Mercy. She is going to have a very unexpected roommate and a very unexpected love interest.” Start hitting the comments with your ideas for that unexpected love interest. And hey, if you were wondering if it’s hard for Josh to juggle both G.G. and Chuck, wonder no more: “I’m really lucky that both shows have great staffs, crews, writers and producers, so I just go where I’m needed.” There you have it.
