- Ausiello has a “first look” at a Gossip Girl promo poster…that makes no sense to me.
- E! Online has a couple of quotes from Billy Baldwin (William, Gossip Girl) as well as the preview clips for Monday’s Gossip Girl.
- EW.com named Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) one of 20 Brilliant TV Brits.
- Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. The interview is pretty good and funny, despite or perhaps because of two mistakes Kimmel makes.
- MTV named Crawford one of their top 5 “hot environmentally-minded celebrities.”
- E! Online has an interview with James Lafferty (Nathan, One Tree Hill). Don’t forget: my interview with James will be posted Sunday!
- Robert Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill), Shantel VanSanten (Quinn, One Tree Hill) and Carolyn Hennesy (Mrs. Valentine, Dawson’s Creek) were presenters at the PRISM Awards yesterday.
- Kidult has an interview with VanSanten.
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) filmed a PSA for The Thirst Project.
- TheDailyNewsOnline.com has a pretty good interview with Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210).
- The Wild Girl, starring Green, premieres tomorrow night on the Hallmark Movie Channel.
- AreYouScreening.com has an interview with Mischa Barton (Marissa, The O.C.), to coincide with the DVD release of Homecoming, which also stars Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210). It’s a pretty decent interview, though there aren’t any O.C. mentions.
Brian Austin Green on Beverly Hills 90210
23 04 2010“Overall, it was great. We were a really tight family. There was a bond there even through all of our differences and hating and loving each other. I still talk to Luke [Perry, Dylan] all the time. It’s one of those things you feel you’ll never really be able to duplicate.”

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More
21 04 2010- The CW sent out a press release of upcoming sweeps highlights, which Zap2it handily categorized by show. They left some things out, but all of it should be considered spoilers so consider this fair warning. If you guys want, I’ll post it all, as given in the release, in a Spoiler post. Let me know.
- There is “We Are One” campaign to further encourage The CW to renew One Tree Hill.
- Examiner.com has an article on the showcase Jana Kramer (Alex, One Tree Hill) had last week.
- I’ve heard speculation for a while now that Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has been dating actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. With no legitimate outlet reporting it, I didn’t post anything on it. But now we’ve got confirmation: the duo appeared on the red carpet last night for his movie The Losers.
- Kenzie Dalton, girlfriend of Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill), wrote on her blog that CMM has a graphic novel titled Everlast coming out this summer.
- How To Make It In America, starring Bryan Greenberg (Jake, One Tree Hill), has been renewed for a second season on HBO.
- Bob Levy (executive producer, Gossip Girl) has been named executive vice president of film at Alloy.
- ABC is reportedly developing a daytime talk show for Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and a “co-host to be determined.”
- Eric Mabius (Dean Hess, The O.C.) has been cast in Outcasts, a BBC series.
- Jeffrey Stepakoff (writer-producer, Dawson’s Creek) is returning to Wilmington April 30 for a book signing to support Fireworks Over Toccoa. Have you read my interview with him?

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210 and One Tree Hill
20 04 2010- Ausiello has an exclusive clip from next week’s Gossip Girl.
- Ausiello also has a spoiler game that seems to suggest (by the picture) that Gossip Girl is involved but it’s not clear if 90210 and One Tree Hill are, too.
- TodayOnline.com has a pretty interesting interview with Stephanie Savage (executive producer, Gossip Girl).
- The CW Source has a spoilish video interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210).
- Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) had a “live Twitterview” today, taking questions via Twitter “about healthy eating, veggies, parenting, + more.” You can check out her Twitter feed to see her answers. (Not entirely helpful without the questions but you get the gist.) There’s one vague reference to BH90210.
- KENS5, a news station in San Antonio, has a video interview with Kate Voegele (Mia, One Tree Hill). I kind of loved it.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, The O.C., 90210 and One Tree Hill
19 04 2010- The Brown Daily Herald has an interesting article on the school’s portrayal in entertainment media, including how it was depicted on Gossip Girl and The O.C.
- Zap2it has photos of Taylor Momsen (Jenny, Gossip Girl) in her New Look campaign.
- You can bid on a tour of the Gossip Girl set with Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, Gossip Girl) in support of Shakespeare on the Common.
- TVGuideMagazine.com has an interesting “exclusive” about Rob Estes (Harry, 90210) leaving the show. Here’s what’s new: quotes from Lori Loughlin (Debbie) and Shenae Grimes (Annie), and the suggestion that the finale is the last episode with Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210). Loughlin and Grimes don’t seem too happy (though not entirely unhappy, either) and I was under the impression that Garth’s last episode had already aired. Here’s what’s not new: Debbie and Harry are having marriage problems and that will somehow play into Harry’s exit. I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
- showbizzle, the digital company run by Charles Rosin (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210), has relaunched its website. There’s a pretty nifty video explaining what showbizzle is (if you haven’t read my interview with Rosin about it–or even if you have!) and you can see a little of Ian Ziering (Steve, Beverly Hills 90210).
- General Hospital’s headwriter told Soap Opera Digest he is in talks with Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210), something we also heard a few months ago.
- The New York Post has an article on stars getting acting experience through soap operas and it features a few quotes from Marcil.
- The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast features an interview with Tym Bucheran (make-up artist, One Tree Hill).

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210 and Gossip Girl
18 04 2010- In June, shortly after TV season wraps, I’ll be resuming my weekly trivia game on Twitter. I’ll post more details as we get closer to it.

- Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) won the “celebrity race” at the Long Beach Grand Prix yesterday.
- Matthew Settle (Rufus, Gossip Girl) spoke to PEOPLE about how he’s coping with his separation from his wife and their impending divorce.

- Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) is in talks to star in the action flick Deathgames.

Jennie Garth on Leaving 90210

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill and Dawson’s Creek
13 04 2010- Last night’s Gossip Girl (1.9 million viewers rounded up) climbed a bit in the ratings compared to last week.
- Korbi is asking via poll if Blair should have forgiven Chuck.
- Gossip Cop busted a Perez Hilton/In Touch story about Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) hooking up with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
- The Daily News claims they have more details about the breakup between Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl).
- You can enter a sweepstakes to win the dress Silver (Jessica Stroup, 90210) wore to the Winter Wonderland dance.
- Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) will make his return to Smallville on Friday’s episode. Ausiello has an exclusive sneak peek of one of his scenes.
- Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) has been cast in Southern Discomfort, an ABC pilot. This DOES NOT mean One Tree Hill is canceled or that Bush is abandoning ship. 1) OTH has not been canceled–or renewed. 2) If OTH is renewed, Bush is contractually obligated to do OTH. 3) She is simply preparing herself for what may be a reality. It’s a smart move.
- Also noteworthy in the short article about the casting is Deadline’s take that OTH has a 50-50 chance at renewal. They also “presume” that it’s OTH versus Life Unexpected, which stars Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek). The Hollywood Reporter says the shows “are considered to be” in competition.
- Joshua Jackson (Pacey, Dawson’s Creek) won a Genie Award for his acting work in the movie One Week. He reportedly mentioned DC in his acceptance speech. He looks adorable in the photo.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More
12 04 2010- One Tree Hill came in second in Kristin’s Save One Show campaign. Chuck, which is executive produced by Josh Schwartz (executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) won.
- Even if you didn’t participate in the postcard campaign for One Tree Hill, you can still print out one of the postcards as a keepsake.
- The first video featuring the winners of The CW’s One Tree Hill contest has been released. It’s pretty cute. I am ridiculously jealous.
- The new One Tree Hill Connection podcast has an interview with Joe Davola (executive producer, One Tree Hill).
- Cari Moskow (Patty, One Tree Hill) joined Twitter today after being re-inspired by our interview.
- Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) will no longer be starring in Footloose.
- The 33 TV, a news station in Dallas, has a video interview with Crawford and his sister Candice.
- CNN is taking fan questions for Crawford for their Connector Of The Day feature. Can you spot the error in what they wrote?
- PEOPLE.com and the New York Post have interviews with Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, Gossip Girl).
- MTV has a short interview with Eric Daman (costume designer, Gossip Girl).
- I don’t post these every week but I figured I’d share this time: 90210 had the most DVR growth, percentage wise, in the 18-49 demographic than any other network show during the week of March 22. Gossip Girl ranked fourth. (It’s noteworthy, for One Tree Hill renewal/cancellation purposes, that Melrose Place ranked second.) The CW sent out a press release with all the numbers.
- Laura Leighton (Sophie, Beverly Hills 90210) will return to Melrose Place tomorrow night for the season finale.
- Time Out New York Kids has an interview with Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210), which includes a (totally legitimate but late, IMO) dig at 90210.
- The Bannen Way, which features Vanessa Marcil (Gina, Beverly Hills 90210) and Autumn Reeser (Taylor, The O.C.), won several awards at The Streamys.
- An article on Life Unexpected, which stars Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek), has nice references to both DC and Beverly Hills 90210.
- BlackBook has an interview with Smith, with a little bit of DC talk and a Gossip Girl mention.
- Busy Philipps (Audrey, Dawson’s Creek) spoke a little about James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) to E! Online.
