- Last night’s Gossip Girl (1.7 million viewers rounded up) dropped a bit in the ratings compared to last week, hitting a new season- and series-low. If you recall, on March 8 and 15th, Gossip Girl also rounded to a 1.7, but the unrounded number this time is even lower (1.685 versus 1.740 and 1.728).
- The Gossip Girl tour of New York City will be Blair-themed April 9-11 in honor of Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) turning 24.

- TVOvermind.com and TheTVAddict.com have interviews with Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210). Have you read my two interviews with him?

- While watching Beverly Hills 90210 today, I realized that Michael Trucco (Cooper, One Tree Hill) played Josh, Noah’s brother. Can’t believe I didn’t notice that before!
- MTV has a short video interview with Stephen Colletti (Chase, One Tree Hill) about filming in Utah.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, The O.C., 90210 and One Tree Hill
16 03 2010- Last night’s Gossip Girl (1.7 million viewers) stayed the same in the ratings compared to last week, making that two weeks in a row with a record-low. Meanwhile, Life Unexpected had a nice increase in ratings, which The CW (rightfully) bragged about in a press release, while also spinning GG’s numbers.
- At work today, Gossip Cop and I busted Access Hollywood and OK! Magazine for citing one of the fake Twitter accounts for Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl).
- Zap2it has an interview with Aaron Tveit (Tripp, Gossip Girl), mostly about Ugly Betty.
- Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl) and Chris Carmack (Luke, The O.C.) star in the TV movie Beauty & The Briefcase, which will air on ABCFamily April 18.
- Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) wrote a piece for TVGuide.com about tonight’s episode of Southland. Apparently this is the third week he’s done this. News to me!
- Bonnie Somerville (Rachel, The O.C.) and Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210) each participated in a short trivia game with DailyFill, where the questions happened to be predominantly about our teen dramas!
- The CW Source, BuzzSugar and TeenTelevision.com have spoilish interviews with Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210).
- Alloy and TV.com have spoilish interviews with Michael Steger (Navid, 90210). Really not happy with the factually-inaccurate and insulting answer he gave to the last question in the latter one. (BTW, have you read my interview with him?)
- Crushable.com has a post highlighting “5 Dudes Who Are Way Too Old To Be Playing Teenagers on TV,” including Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) and making references to Steger and Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris, Beverly Hills 90210).
- The Walshes ranked 49th in TV Guide Magazine’s list of Top 50 TV Families.
- For the week of February 22, One Tree Hill had one of the top 10 biggest gains when DVR ratings were factored in.
- Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) posted a new vlog earlier this month on the SoGoPro site.
- Kate Voegele (Mia, One Tree Hill) is going on tour with Jordin Sparks.
- Michaela McManus (Lindsey, One Tree Hill) has been cast as one of the leads in the CW pilot Nomads.

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210 and One Tree Hill
9 03 2010- The Daily Beast has an interesting post about people 30ish and older watching teen dramas.
- Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
- Last night’s Gossip Girl (1.7 million viewers) dropped quite significantly in the ratings compared to the last episode and dropped to what I’m pretty sure is a series-low. Also noteworthy: A) this is lower than One Tree Hill’s series-low a few weeks ag0 (though OTH usually outperforms GG to begin with), B) this is lower than Life Unexpected’s ratings for last night, and C) the GG and LUX ratings are both significantly lower than the ratings ABCFamily’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make It Or Break It got.
- Parade.com has an interview with Taylor Momsen (Jenny, Gossip Girl).
- Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl) is writing a book series for young adults.
- Brittany Snow (Young Lily, Gossip Girl) has been cast in Kindreds, an NBC pilot.
- Korbi has a video interview with Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210).
- The CW Source has a spoiler-filled video interview with Jessica Lowndes (Adrianna, 90210). (Not sure why Zap2it has it and I can’t find it on the Source’s site or YT page.)
- The CW Source also has a second part to their interview with Michael Steger (Navid, 90210).
- Starpulse has an article on Steger.
- The official One Tree Hill Twitter account will be tweeting videos each day as the show films in Utah and continuing until the hiatus ends on April 26.

19 02 2010- I have confirmed that Antwon Tanner (Skills, One Tree Hill) will appear in at least one episode of OTH later this season, despite being sentenced last month to three months in prison. As I reported then, Tanner hadn’t been fired from the show and he has until the end of April to begin serving his sentence, so this news makes perfect sense. I will have a spoiler on Tanner’s appearance on Sunday.

- It figures: when I move away from Chicago, Peter Gallagher (Sandy, The O.C.) starts doing solo-shows there. Darn! (I did pass him on my campus once but realized too late that it was him!)
- One of the tabloids has a short piece on a “Dawson’s Creek love curse.” (See image 7.) Notably and conveniently absent is Joshua Jackson (Pacey) since he happens to be in a committed relationship.
- Jack (Kerr Smith, Dawson’s Creek) is included in E! Online’s Gays on TV gallery.

10 11 2009RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Monty in New Mexico: What’s next on Gossip Girl?
I’m told that after tonight’s threeway, everything will be very messy for Dan, Olivia and Vanessa. “Things are not well,” says my source, and the threesome will have repercussions for all relationships involved, and we’ll see it all play out next week via flashbacks of the dirty deeds that were done. Also next week, a fourth wheel comes into the mix: Lady Gaga! No, she’s not actually hitting the sack for an L-O-V-D foursome (can you imagine?), but her music is the catalyst through which Dan, Olivia and Vanessa have to stay connected and work together even more closely for the time being (thanks to an assignment).
Oh, and for all of you who are sooo tired of hearing about the ménage à trois—can we all just have a cigarette and cab fare already?—I have this news to share: A main Gossip Girl character is going to get in a serious accident. One that will send her to the hospital. And that someone is Serena (Blake Lively).
Montana in Spain: Please, some scoop on One Tree Hill?
This just in: Millicent will get a DUI, Nathan will fire Clay when the Bobcats sign another player instead of him and Brooke and Julian will continue to have major problems.
Morris in Minneapolis: Anything good coming up on 90210?
I know I just said this about One Tree Hill, but now it’s also true on 90210: Someone is going to try to commit suicide. Think you know who? Also, the truth about Jen and Liam comes out in episode 11, Dixon’s birth mother will return and Debbie will start flirting with her yoga instructor.
***
Notes:
At first I wasn’t sure where she previously said about a potential suicide on One Tree Hill but then I realized it was in a spoiler chat from 2 weeks ago.
The yoga instructor Debbie flirts with will be played by Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210). I already posted photos.
If you need a refresher on Dixon and his birth mom, check out my reaction post from last season.

9 11 2009RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
What’s the big deal with this “Gossip Girl” threesome? Why is everyone making such a fuss? Can you say who the participating players are? -Michelle
I haven’t yet seen the episode, so I won’t offer my opinion on what goes down, but I will say that a little birdie told me Hilary Duff (aka Dan’s girlfriend Olivia) is definitely involved.
Didn’t you report that there’s still hope for Liam and Naomi on “90210” this season? Doesn’t it seem like the new surfer girl is going after him? -P
The new surf girl is absolutely making a play for Liam, but that doesn’t mean she’ll get what she wants. Actually, I know for a fact that Naomi will be the victor in this battle and be back with Liam before we know it… much to our new friend’s chagrin.
Actually, Naomi will reconcile with Annie as well, right around the same time.
I stopped by the set of “90210” to speak with Annalynne McCord on the subject…

“The new surf girl” refers to Ivy.

2 11 2009- The CW sent out another press release saying that 90210, once again, had drastic improvements in ratings when DVR numbers are factored in. One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl got bumps, too.
- All three shows are included in TVGuide.com’s November Sweeps Roundup, but it’s mostly just taken directly from the press release the network had sent out a week or so go.
- E! Online has a short but spoilish interview with Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210).
- Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) co-hosted a joint Halloween-New Moon event in Las Vegas this weekend.

The full song will be featured next week and the full video will premiere on The CW’s Web site right after the episode ends. Furthermore, “Leighton will also be the featured artist on the “Gossip Girl’’ music page of CWTV.com (CWTV.com/ggmusic). Gossip Girl-centric social networking sites will also be plugged into the buzz surrounding “Somebody To Love,” featuring Tweets, Facebook updates, MySpace alerts and more, as well as serving up multiple online links to the steamy video.”
- Apparently Meester performed with Weezer this weekend.
- Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) hosted the launch party for Todd DiCiurcio’s new exhibit. Also in attendance were Jessica Szhor (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) and Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl).
