Weekly Poll

24 03 2010

In the last Weekly Poll, a decent-sized majority–62 percent–don’t want to see Alex become a singer on One Tree Hill, though 27 percent say it depends on the music and how it would be used and 11 percent think it would really add to her character. Forty-nine percent think Gossip Girl’s Rufus would never cheat while 30 percent weren’t sure and 21 percent said it seemed very likely that he did cheat. In the third poll, 42 percent of voters noticed Navid was MIA in last week’s 90210 and missed him, though 29 percent didn’t notice and thought it was terrible. Still, another 17 percent noticed and weren’t bothered but 12 didn’t notice and thought it was a good thing.

News Roundup: 90210, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and The O.C.

24 03 2010
  • Last night’s 90210 (1.5 million viewers) dropped quite a bit in the ratings compared to last week, hitting a new season- and series-low. If you recall, two weeks ago was a season/series-low of 1.7 and now the show has sunk even lower.
  • Love TVGuideMagazine.com’s recap/pop quiz about last night’s 90210. It’s quite funny and quite accurate, IMO.
  • About.com has an interview with Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210).
  • The Wild Girl, starring Brian Austin Green (David, Beverly Hills 90210) will premiere on the Hallmark Channel April 24. They also reiterate that Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) will be in one of their movies later this year.
  • At work today, Gossip Cop and I busted a story about Doherty supposedly feuding with her Dancing With The Stars co-star Kate Gosselin.
  • Douglas Emerson (Scott, Beverly Hills 90210) is included in TVGuide.com’s photogallery of ’90s Stars We Want Back on TV.
  • Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) are part of the new Op campaign. They previously featured AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) and Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill).
  • The Austin Post-Bulletin has a surprisingly well-written piece by a male teenager explaining his love of Gossip Girl.
  • The Jewish Journal has an interesting feature on Bryan Greenberg (Jake, One Tree Hill).
  • Melinda Clarke (Julie, The O.C.) makes her first appearance on The Vampire Diaries tomorrow night.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Will Annie finally get revenge on Naomi on 90210? — Kate
MICKEY: Well, I wouldn’t call it revenge (yet). But while Naomi is off making a grievous error of judgment involving the new faculty advisor of The Blaze, Annie and Liam will have a moment. We won’t see the results of Naomi and Liam’s actions for a few weeks, but rest assured, they’ll be disastrous.

The advisor will be played by Hal Ozsan (Todd, Dawson’s Creek).

  • Last night’s Gossip Girl (1.9 million viewers rounded up) rose a bit in the ratings compared to last week.
  • Josh Schwartz (creator, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) and Stephanie Savage (creator, Gossip Girl; executive producer, The O.C.) have signed a deal to form their own production company, Fake Empire, under Warner Bros. TV.
  • The Wrap has an interview with Schwartz and Savage about their partnership. Among the highlights: an interesting question about the Gossip Girl spin-off and a reference to Aaron Spelling (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210) and E. Duke Vincent (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210).
  • Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Sebastian Stan (Carter, Gossip Girl), Michael Cassidy (Zach, The O.C.) and whoever else was in the running for Captain America have not gotten the part. EPISODE 2.15: What’s Past Is Prologue

  • Previously on: Ade kisses Gia to make her ex jealous, Jasper has photos of Annie’s accident, Silver and Teddy seemingly get together despite trust issues, Dixon wants to see his birthmom Dana, who shows up at the house
  • I like the ep title. It’s clever. And feels kind of foreboding.
  • Annie is jogging. At night. Never a good idea.
  • Sure enough, she sees Jasper drive by and gets spooked.
  • Debbie is introducing Dana to Harry. Apparently this picks up right where we left off last week.
  • Everyone seems nervous.
  • Dana explains that Dixon e-mailed him about wanting to visit.
  • She thought about responding but everything she wanted to say sounded better in person.
  • He’s very happy she came.
  • Annie walks in.
  • Dana and Annie are happy to see each other.
  • Debbie and Harry are shocked. They don’t know about last year.
  • Now Dixon and Annie have to explain. Dixon does the talking.
  • Dana apologizes. She thought they knew.
  • Dixon says he didn’t tell them because he didn’t want them to be upset.
  • He confesses that he never got out of the car because he wasn’t ready. But now he is. He thinks this is great.
  • Everyone else still seems nervous.
  • Dana says she’s sorry to intrude and there’s a hotel nearby she can stay at.
  • Dixon says Dana can stay with them.
  • Harry says absolutely. Debbie hesitates and then agrees.
  • Awkward to hear Dixon calls Debbie mom
  • LOL Teddy says the whole point to being in a relationship is to share two dishes at dinner.
  • They’re about to kiss when two girls come over and say hi. She’s turned off.
  • Then his phone rings. Some girl named Amy.
  • He says the girl programmed it in.
  • She says she gets it.
  • The waitress comes over…who, of course, knows him.
  • Overkill, folks! Overkill.
  • Silver purposefully orders what Teddy doesn’t want. LOL
  • Now Dixon and co are about to have dinner.
  • Dana asks to say grace.
  • Dixon volunteers.
  • I just noticed 3 Ds. Dixon, Dana, Debbie. Hmm.
  • Dixon says he hasn’t said grace in a while but it just came right back. They used to say it when he was a little.
  • Dixon says he doesn’t have a lot of memories of their time together but sometimes it comes back out of the blue.
  • Dixon seems so happy.
  • He recounts a memory but Dana changes the subject, asking when they moved to BH.
  • Debbie says how Harry grew up here.
  • Dixon says it was huge culture shock but Annie counters that Dixon fit right in, especially since he’s an athlete.
  • Dixon recalls how he used to play little league and Dana says it was a long time ago.
  • Looks like she doesn’t want to revisit the past.
  • Now we’re at Navid’s house. Presumably his home theater. Lila walks in.
  • He is watching anti-drug PSAs because he has to make one, as per Principal Harry.
  • Why is Lila visiting him at home?
  • Oh, to give him the new edition of the Blaze.
  • She warns him that it includes Naomi’s first segment.
  • She admits it’s worse than awful.
  • He hits play. (I can’t believe this is what the Blaze has evolved into.)
  • Naomi starts out by calling everyone West Bevers. LOL
  • She says her segments will be hot and spicy, and immediately goes into a blind item about a new couple at school.
  • And then a rant about hooking up in public. (Um, didn’t she used to, too?)
  • The segment is supposedly 7 minutes long. Navid and Lila agree to put an end to it.
  • Cut to Silver complaining to Naomi about Teddy.
  • Naomi says how Teddy is a player.
  • Silver says she needs to get comfortable with Teddy’s past.
  • Naomi says Silver is stronger than her because she would always be wondering about when he’s going to cheat.
  • She suggests Silver monitor his cell phone and e-mails, and follow him occasionally. LOL
  • Annie is putting out the trash when she hears a noise.
  • She looks around, sees nothing and goes inside.
  • But the camera pans around to Jasper, in his car, playing with a lighter.
  • 10 minutes in and I haven’t picked one quote yet. Hm.
  • The promos tell me Carter from The O.C. will be on Melrose Place tonight.
  • Dixon says dinner was the worst ever. Annie says it wasn’t that bad.
  • He says this was a mistake. Every time he tried to connect with his mom, she changes the subject.
  • He says he doesn’t know want to call her either.
  • Annie suggests spending time alone with her. She says he has to try because he’s waited too long not to.
  • Debbie asks Harry about the saying grace thing from the night before. She wants to know if Dana was judging them.
  • Harry says no.
  • But Debbie says they’re not coming off like good parents because they didn’t know Annie and Dixon took the trip last year.
  • Harry says they probably didn’t want to make them feel threatened. And they’re not. They have to let Dixon know they’re comfy.
  • Debbie sorta kinda agrees.
  • Teddy, Dixon and Liam have just finished surfing.
  • They’re joking around when Dixon notices his car is totally missing from the parking lot.
  • Ade and Gia are in the car. She starts singing along with the radio or whatever it is they’re listening to.
  • A song about some girl named Joleen. Jolene? Joline?
  • Gia says Ade has an amazing voice.
  • Ade ignores that and says if Gia has stuff to do with the Blaze, she’ll wait for her.
  • Gia calls her out on wanting to see Navid.
  • Ade admits it’s true. She says it’s because Navid almost got expelled for her.
  • Gia wants details.
  • She explains how she spoke to Navid and Navid said how he planted the drugs to take Jasper down.
  • And, she says, he wants to take Jasper down because he was selling her drugs.
  • Q1: How the hell am I supposed to get over a guy like that?–Ade
  • Gia says she’ll get over it when she meets someone else. Gia says that happened to her.
  • Ade is shocked and pleased to hear Gia has a crush and wants details but Gia isn’t divulging.
  • Now the guys are at school. Dixon is upset about his car still.
  • Navid comes over. They’re happy to see him back.
  • Liam says being suspended is like a vacation.
  • Q2: My mother says I urinated on the legacy of my ancestors.–Navid
  • Navid says he’s happy to be back because he can’t “destroy” Jasper from home.
  • The guys say it won’t be fruitful.
  • Navid says he needs to get Jasper back for dealing to Ade.
  • He then back tracks and tries to say it’s also about revenge for Jasper pushing him down the stairs.
  • Q3: Maybe this is less about Jasper and more about the feelings you still have for Adrianna.–Dixon
  • Navid says that’s not true.
  • They point out he hasn’t even looked at another girl since he and Ade broke up months ago.
  • Navid swears he’s going to ask someone out soon.
  • Silver is doing work with Teddy beside her.
  • She accuses Teddy of copying her and asks what she’s getting in return. He kisses her.
  • But then he says BRB, leaving his computer.
  • And of course some girl IMs him. Or e-mails, sorry. It’s Amy. Saying she can’t wait to see him.
  • Silver X-es out right before Teddy comes back. And gives her another kiss.
  • He seems kind of adoring.
  • Still at school. Navid and Lila are having fun editing Naomi’s segment. They’re piecing her words together (ala what Clare, David and Donna did in season 5 of BH90210) to create new sentences.
  • Navid asks Lila if she wants to have dinner sometime. He’s adorably awkward.
  • She’s taken by surprise but agrees. Just as adorably awkwardly.
  • Gia shows Ade a flyer for auditions for a lead vocalist for The Gloria Steinems.
  • LMAO at the name.
  • Gia says the band is made up of students and they are “rad.”
  • Gia says Ade has a great voice and needs something to help her over Navid.
  • Ade agrees she does need to get over him but a band won’t help. She thanks Gia for trying and calls her a great friend.
  • Gia looks disappointed.
  • Debbie is finishing yoga. With Kai.
  • He offers water. What, she didn’t bring her own?
  • Q4: Can I get it with a shot of tequila?–Debbie
  • Kai asks her what’s wrong.
  • And she immediately opens up! What?! Who does that?!
  • She explains how her son’s birthmother came home.
  • He asks how it’s going.
  • Debbie explains she’s not true how Dixon is going.
  • But Kai meant how is she doing.
  • She says she’s trying not feel threatened.
  • Kai asks her point-blank if she is.
  • SHe admits she is a little bit.
  • Kai says those feelings are valid.
  • And how would he know? Background would help. Fleshed-out characters would help.
  • Silver is telling Naomi how she just started dating Teddy and already it appears he’s dating.
  • She can’t bring it up to him because it would reveal she was snooping.
  • Naomi suggests they send someone he doesn’t know to the coffee shop to spy.
  • They see Gia and tell her they need a favor.
  • Cut to Gia acting suspiciously awkward at the coffee shop, hiding behind a magazine.
  • Not The Peach Pit, mind you.
  • We know it’s “Amy” there because the barista calls her by name.
  • She’s kind of hot.
  • Gia texts Silver that there’s good news–no sign of Teddy.
  • And then he walks in. Of course.
  • They enthusiastically hug.
  • She calls him “babe.”
  • Uht oh. Another sister?
  • Gia is still eavesdropping. She sits at the next table.
  • Amy tells Teddy he’s been AWOL.
  • And her parents are out of town and their house is available.
  • Teddy explains he’s dating someone.
  • She says she’s not going to tell and he doesn’t have to tell.
  • Q5: I really like this girl. I want to give this whole monogamy thing a try.–Teddy
  • Amy asks why he came then.
  • He says it was a mistake and gets up to leave.
  • She says she can try monogamy but it’s not who he is and it won’t work.
  • He’ll says we’ll see and leaves. She’s kind of dumb-founded.
  • Navid is at the Beach Club waiting for Lila.
  • He is wearing a red and white striped shirt and a blue and white checkered tie. Umm…
  • He tells Lila she looks great. She’s wearing a blue cheetah print.
  • What is going on, Frank Helmer?!
  • They go to have dinner.
  • They start to bond over the things their parents made them do: cotillion, the Quadratic equation (er, forumla, folks) and learning the Fox Trot.
  • Apparently they were Fox Trot partners. But Navid doesn’t remember.
  • They laugh it off.
  • Q6: So, I guess, technically, this is our second date.–Lila
  • He agrees with a smile. They’re kind of cute. I think I like her.
  • Dixon is at a sports bar with his mom. They’re watching basketball.
  • She asks what the score is.
  • He asks if she’s into sports. She says Celtics and Pistons.
  • She admits she gambles online to make the games more exciting.
  • Dixon is taken aback. He says he’s surprised.
  • She says they’re getting to know each other.
  • Q7: Do you want to get to know me?–Dixon
  • She says of course. Why else would she be there?
  • He says that last night was weird, with her changing the subject.
  • She says she remembers everything from the past.
  • She explains how one of the memories he brought was actually a product of one of her manic episodes and that’s why she didn’t say anything. She didn’t want the Wilsons to think she’s a worse mom than they already do.
  • Dixon says they wouldn’t think that. She couldn’t handle it and gave him up to someone who could.
  • Dixon says his parents are probably glad they have him.
  • Q8: ‘Cause, you know, I am quite the prize.–Dixon
  • Post-dinner, Navid and Lila are still hanging out at the club. They are joking around in a flirty-way about Navid’s poor dating skills.
  • He wants a chance at a third date.
  • Q9: Prepare to be swept away.–Navid
  • She confesses that when he asked her out, she thought he was doing it to get over Adrianna.
  • He admits that was motivating him. But now he realizes he likes her and wants another chance to go out again.
  • She’s sold.
  • And they kiss. It’s really innocent and sweet.
  • Ade and Gia are walking on the beach, giggling and whatnot.
  • Ade has 20 questions to guess Gia’s crush.
  • But the fun ends when she spies Navid and Lila kissing.
  • She’s very upset.
  • She asks what’s wrong with herself. She knew this would happen eventually.
  • She repeats that she has to get over him.
  • Gia points out that the band auditions are still going on.
  • Ade says she’ll try anything now. (Not drugs, Ade. Not drugs!)
  • Gia puts an arm around her and they walk off.
  • No Ivy so far. And no Naomi and Liam together. And I am so okay with that.
  • Ade is now auditioning. I don’t know what song it is. Is that bad?
  • She’s singing a capella and killing it. She is talented.
  • Oh, it’s that Joleen song. Jolene? Joline?
  • Gia is there. As are two other band members. Female, obviously. (Gloria Steinems and all.)
  • She finishes. Gia says she was good and they start to leave.
  • The band members stop her. They say they won’t hold call backs because she’s in. She blew them away.
  • Annie and Silver and Naomi are Crumbs. I love Crumbs!
  • Annie and Naomi are discussing how cupakes are so much betterthan cake.
  • Silver is bummed.
  • Naomi says she should be happy. Teddy didn’t cheat.
  • Silver says but she did send someone to spy on him. She didn’t trust him. That’s terrible.
  • Annie and Naomi say it’s done and they should move on.
  • Annie says sometimes people mess upa nd they need to move on.
  • She goes to throw somethin gout and spies Jasper sitting at another table.
  • She tells the girls they need to leave immediately.
  • Silver asks if he’s stalking her. Annie says she doesn’t want to talk about it. They leave.
  • Debbie asks Harry if she should txt Dixon because he should be home by now.
  • Harry says it’s fine.
  • But Debbie says maybe she’ll wait. Give him and Dana timd.
  • Phone rings. Bad news.
  • Debbie assumes it has to do with Dixon.
  • Not really. Cops found the car downtown, completely ruined.
  • Dana and Dixon come in laughing.
  • They apologize for it being late and say they had a good time.
  • Dana is going to walk Dixon upstairs. Aw.
  • Harry says to Debbie that all went well and she worried for nothing.
  • She says that her feelings are “valid” and it would be nice if her husband understood that.
  • Dixon is in his room. He goes on the computer to ByTheBookie.com. He clicks “Yes, I am over 18.”
  • He seemed to know that site already. No Google search or anything.
  • FYI all: Brandon had a sports gambling addiction in season 3 of Beverly Hills 90210, while he was in high school as well. It briefly resurfaced in season 6 while he was in college.
  • Ade arrives at rehearsal. One of the other band members, not one from last night, is kind of punk-goth-y. She starts to give Ade grief but then says they’re cool.
  • Lila walks in, late apparently. She is the bass player.
  • Ade and Lila are introduced. But haven’t they met already? Awkward, anyway.
  • Navid tells Liam and Dixon that he had a hot date last night with Lila.
  • Q10: Cool enough for you to move off your whole Jasper vendetta?–Dixon
  • Navid surprises himself and says yes. He realizes his vendetta did have to do with Ade.
  • Ade is freaking out to Gia. She joined the band to get over Navid but now has to work with his new girl.
  • Q11: Every day I’m going to be reminded of what I lost.–Ade
  • Gia snaps. She doesn’t want to hear about Navid anymore.
  • Ade apologizes for talking about him so much.
  • Gia says that’s not it.
  • Q12: I like you. The problem is I like you, okay?!–Gia
  • She’s practically crying.
  • Teddy and Silver are talking when she says she needs to tell him something.
  • She admits she read his e-mails, the message from Amy.
  • Teddy says nothing happened.
  • She admits she knows that because she sent her friend Gia to spy.
  • The brilliant Teddy says, “You spied on me?” Why do people always say that in these scenarios?
  • Silver says his past was making her feel insecure and she didn’t know if she could trust him.
  • But, she says, it doesn’t matter. She was wrong and it’ll never happen again because she knows she can trust him.
  • Q13: That’s great. But the thing is, now I don’t know if I can trust you.–Teddy
  • He says he needs space and despite Silver’s protests, walks away.
  • I feel like we’ve see this way too many times on shows. It just seems like such an easy storyline to do.
  • Jasper walks up to Annie and offers her a ride.
  • She tells him to stop stalking her.
  • He doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
  • She says she’s seen him.
  • Jasper says he’s just trying to help.
  • He says he got rid of the one piece of evidence linking her to the crime. THE CAR!
  • Q14: See, I’m just looking out for you.–Jasper
  • Close-up on Annie’s freaked-out face.
  • Fade to black.
  • Preview: The voiceover says “The censors forbid us from exploiting this storyline” and it shows Gia and Ade looking at each other. “So if you can’t say this” and Ade says to Silver and Naomi “I’m having these feelings for a girl. Does that mean I’m gay?” Then  the voiceover continues, “Or if you can’t talk about this.” And Naomi says, “A little lady-lady action might be just the thing for you” and then Ade and Gia lean into kiss as the voiceover says “You’ll have to watch to see this.” So much for not exploiting! (I know, I know. It was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.)

Those are my thoughts. What’s yours?

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

More “90210” please, you haven’t done a Q&A in a while. -Casey
This week’s hour will feature the rebound of Mr. Navid Shirazi. His suspension for coke possession is finally up and he starts dating that new chick, Lila… who ends up having a connection to his ex, Adrianna, that is hardly comfortable.

How much trouble is Dixon’s birth mom going to cause now that she’s in Bev Hills? -RR
Mother and son will have some trouble connecting at first, but their mutual love of basketball may ease a bit of the awkwardness. Unfortunately, I’m hearing her influence may indirectly incite an online gambling addiction in Dix.

Are we finally rid of that creep Jasper? Tell me it’s over between him and Annie. -P

I can tell you no such thing. Creep be stalkin’ little miss Wilson this week. He won’t let up that easy.

Teddy and Silver on “90210”? Will it last? -Grace
There will be bumps in the road. Silver actually sends Gia (Rumer Willis) on a recon mission this week to find out if he might already be cheating on her. It doesn’t go over well. But I think these two are going to go the distance despite their issues.

Any “90210” scoop? -JenniferC
With Dixon’s biological mom staying at their house and Debbie’s yoga instructor (Greg Vaughan) being more supportive of Deb’s feelings than Harry, we’re going to start seeing the first major cracks in the Wilsons’ marriage…

Only thing really new here is the gambling thing with Dixon. And to that I say, see Brandon’s storylines in seasons 3 and 6 of Beverly Hills 90210.

Exclusive: A Quick Chat With 90210’s Trevor Donovan

23 03 2010

I had the privilege of recently catching up with 90210’s Trevor Donovan via e-mail. The three big take-aways from our conversation: you can keep calling him Ken, don’t be afraid to (respectfully) approach him on the street and, oh yeah, tune into the show!

TeenDramaWhore: When you joined the show over the summer, did you have any idea Teddy would still be around all these months later?

Trevor Donovan: I wasn’t sure. I was just having a great time working with the cast.

TDW: Will you be back for season 3?

Donovan: Stay tuned.

TDW: What’s been the easiest thing about working on 90210 and what’s been the hardest?

Donovan: Easiest: well, working with such great cast mates. Hardest: being so close to the beach and not be able to surf.

TDW: There’s two things we know are coming up for Teddy: more interaction with Silver [Jessica Stroup] and Teddy’s father, Spence [Ryan O’Neal], comes to town. Can you tell us what to expect with those?

Donovan: Expect good things.  Love Jessica Stroup… she’s amazing.

TDW: The show has shown its philanthropic side by collaborating with Habitat for Humanity and Warriors in Pink. What were those experiences like for you?

Donovan: A lot of fun.  Am looking forward to doing more..

TDW: In an episode earlier this season, Ivy [Gillian Zinser] jokingly told Teddy not to tweet about her relationship with Liam [Matt Lanter]. As an actor, what value do you think Twitter has?

Donovan: Well, it is such a random thing… if I think of it, I’ll text a tweet.

TDW: A lot of people have looked at you this past year and compared you to a Ken doll. Compliment or insult?

Donovan: Ken is world-known and treated his lady (Barbie) pretty well, as far as I know….so, I’ll take it as a compliment.

TDW: Have you had any interesting fan encounters?

Donovan: Every one of them. I really like meeting fans.

TDW: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?

Donovan: I sing and play guitar.

TDW: What other projects are you working on?

Donovan: Right now I’m taking a vacation and helping out my Mom on the house. Stayed tuned for future projects. Thanks for chatting. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of season 2 of 90210. Keep watching!

Come back Sunday for another exclusive interview!

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Mart223: Thanks for the cool plug for 90210! How about some more scoop to celebrate?
I give and I give and…well, you give in return, so OK. Gia is going to cheat on Adriana, and Naomi accuses a teacher of sexual harassment, but it’s so not true. Also, things get even creepier (and life-or-deathier) with Jasper. Dun. Dun. Dun.

  • Jenny is staying at the loft with Rufus. He’s running a tight ship and she’s hating it.
  • She’s going to school and must come home right after.
  • She leaves the loft and makes a call, saying she needs a car.

  • Chuck reiterates that he has to settle.
  • Blair concludes this is because he doesn’t want to tell Elizabeth about this and ruin her image of him.

  • It’s Headmistress Queller. Jenny didn’t go to school…all week.
  • Nate and Serena are sexin’.
  • Q3: Who needs coffee after a wake-up like that?–Serena
  • Rufus texts Serena. He can’t find Jenny and he thinks she’s with Damian.
  • Serena tells Nate how Damian tried to kiss her and they conclude he’s a creep.
  • But Serena points out that’s what’s most attractive about a bad boy is being forbidden to see him.
  • She says Rufus is running Jenny into Damian’s arms and she vows to not let that happen.

  • But Rufus keeps calling.
  • Dan says he doesn’t want to answer because they are keeping their relationship casual…a casual secret.
  • Vanessa says he can’t hide from his dad forever.

  • But Jenny abruptly stops and says she has to go Latin class.
  • Q4: It’s a dead language. It’s not going anywhere.–Damian

  • Q6: When I date someone, sex is usually a part of the equation.–Damian
  • He asks that she just let him know if she doesn’t want that.
  • He also kinda sorta asks if she’s a virgin.
  • She brushes it off and says she likes to go slow with new people.
  • They make plans for later and he promises to go slow. I don’t think they are on the same page.

  • Chuck sends Blair and Elizabeth away.
  • His phone rings. It’s Jack.
  • Q8: Naughty nephew. You won’t believe what I just heard.–Uncle Jack
  • Chuck concludes that Jack is behind the lawsuit.
  • Jack’s got a kinda thick goatee! Don’t know if I like yet.
  • Lily and Rufus are talking about Jenny.
  • Q9: I guess I’m still holding out hope that somewhere underneath that mop of blonde hair is my little girl.–Rufus
  • Rufus thanks Lily for being there.
  • Lily says they should put their past behind them.
  • She suggests he join her tonight at the event in honor of Bart.
  • Q10: I’m not in the mood to support any of your former husbands right now.–Rufus
  • Kind of no-brainer, Lil, no?
  • She gets up to leave and puts his scarf down.
  • Serena and Jenny are talking.
  • S asks J how things are with Damian.
  • Jenny says things are great. He listens to her and treats her like an adult.
  • S concludes that it’s serious.
  • J says it’s about to be. She’s thinking that tonight is, um, the night.

  • Jack tells Blair that Chuck needs to step down from the hotel.
  • Blair says he’s not going to get what he wants.
  • Q14: I’ve already had everything of Chuck’s worth having.–Jack
  • HINT HINT!
  • Chuck is watching from afar, looking uncomfy.
  • Serena is ont he phone with Nate, who has stepped away from Jenny at a restaurant.
  • She says she has a plan to show Jenny, rather than tell her, that Damian’s a bad guy.
  • She’s bringing Damian over and when he starts to come on to her, Jenny and Nate will walk in.
  • Nate is skeptical. Damian is already there.
  • Dan makes some kind of joke about the vampire trend.
  • Rufus says he’s noticed that Dan has been sleeping out a lot lately.
  • Dan says he’s been falling a sleep studying on Vanessa’s couch.
  • Rufus calls him a bad liar and asks who he’s seeing.
  • He looks like he’s about to confess or lie some more (either one, lol) and then Vanessa shows up.
  • Rufus called her, since she’s practically Jenny’s sister.
  • Dan is obviously grossed out, because that would make him her brother.
  • Rufus walks away and Vanessa tries to kiss him but Dan resists.
  • Dan says they need to develop rules about this and she is very turned off.

  • OUCH! At least she didn’t say “again.”
  • Rufus spies his scarf.

  • Q17: Speaking of things we’ve shared…–Blair, as Nate calls Serena
  • LOL!
  • Blair answers, saying S can’t talk. They’re getting ready.
  • Blair puts him on speaker phone.
  • Nate says he’s worried about Jenny losing her virginity to a guy like that. A girl like her needs more.
  • Serena obviously hears and is very insulted, concluding that Nate meant a girl like S didn’t deserve more because she was a slut.
  • She hangs up on Nate, who didn’t even know he was on speaker phone, of course.
  • Jenny’s watching Dirty Dancing now. It’s about time!
  • Rufus comes in and Jenny says the movie is kind of good.

  • Protesters are picketing outside the hotel, calling for a boycott.
  • Blair comes in, complaining about the protesters.
  • Chuck says they have to stop by a DNA center or something. He wants to see if Elizabeth really is his mom.

  • Chuck says they should’ve thought of that a while ago.
  • Q20: You know who she really is. You can see it in her eyes. In your eyes.–Blair
  • Chuck points out the evidence: she just showed up, she knows curious things and doesn’t want to be with Jack, the only person still alive who actually met his mom.
  • Elizabeth walks in. She heard everything.
  • Q21: I should’ve known you would never let me in. You are your father’s son.–Elizabeth

  • She’s still upset about what happened on the phone earlier, that Nate basically called her a slut.
  • Nate lists the guys Serena hooked up with in high school.
  • Serena says that despite whatever gossip he heard, she didn’t sleep with all of them.
  • And that doesn’t explain why Nate is so concerned about Jenny’s first time.
  • Q24: I woke up the morning after I lost my virginity to find that the person I lost it to, the person I loved, left town, never to be heard from again for a year. So, yeah, I had a good reason.–Nate
  • Aw! I love that they are bringing it back!
  • And I can buy that reason for him worrying about Jenny. I think.
  • Rufus and Lily see Jack.
  • Rufus tells Jack he has a lot of nerve coming there.
  • Jack tries to explain his actions the last time they were together. He says he was on drugs or something. I don’t remember this.

  • Nate tells Jenny that she deserves someone who is going to treat her right.
  • J reminds Nate that he’s taken. Awkward.
  • Nate tells Jenny how Damian came onto Serena at the state party.

  • Nate is appalled that Damian is dealing but Jenny points out that Nate used to do drugs. Touche.
  • Q27: Stop pretending that you care about me. In fact, the one who does just got here.–Jenny
  • Jenny is smiling wide as she greets Damian.
  • Nate runs after, saying Damian can’t leave with her.

  • Aw!
  • They’re about to kiss when Dan interrupts, saying Jenny has run off.
  • The lawyer tells Chuck that things are bad. Christian conservative groups are calling for a boycott.
  • He says Chuck needs to at least temporarily give up running the operations of the hotel to save PR face.
  • Jack steps in and immediately volunteers.
  • Q30: I promise you, Jack, that will never happen.–Chuck
  • Goatee verdict: not liking it. (And that’s coming from a girl who does like facial hair.)
  • Jack says then he’ll just buy the hotel when Chuck goes bankrupt.
  • Chuck says this was all a master plan by Jack.
  • Jack says he just wants to keep the hotel in the family and walks off.
  • Nate goes into Damian’s hotel, asking for the room number.
  • The receptionist won’t give it. She suggests calling.
  • Nate tells the receptionist that he won’t answer because he’s up there with a 16-year-old girl.
  • They head up to the room. But Jenny and Damian aren’t there!
  • They are actually at Jenny’s!
  • Chuck catches Blair up to speed.
  • Blair offers to take over the hotel. Chuck says it’s not a good idea, PR-wise, to hand things over to his 19-year-old girlfriend.
  • She suggests Lily. Chuck says they need to keep it out of Bass Industries.
  • Chuck’s phone beeps. The DNA results are in. They have another choice. (For who can run the hotel.)
  • Jenny and Damian are hooking up in bed. She stops and tells him that she’s a virgin.
  • He says he figured and it’s not a big deal.
  • She says it is. This means something to her.

  • She says she’s tired and going to her room for the rest of the year.
  • Serena follows.
  • S asks J if she’s okay. J says yes.
  • Serena concludes that Jenny didn’t go through it. Jenny lies and says she did.
  • Q32: Honestly, Serena. I don’t know what you were so worried about. It was no big deal.–Jenny
  • She cues up “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life” on her iPod. Awww. That’s kind of tear-worthy.
  • She asks S to leave.
  • Elizabeth lets Chuck into her hotel room. She’s packing.
  • Chuck says he should”ve trusted her.
  • The implication is that the test came back and it was a match.
  • Elizabeth says it’s her fault for abandoning him when he was a baby.
  • Chuck says he needed the DNA test to ensure that she was the right person to take over the hotel for him as he takes a step back.
  • She’s unsure.
  • He says it’s not hard and he’ll instruct her.

  • She’s totally sick, folks! Not CeCe! Lily!
  • Dan comes into Vanessa’s room.
  • He says that normally he would tell everyone that he’s seeing an amazing girl and it’s serious and he’s happy but he’s nervous this time.

  • Chuck comes home. Blair has champagne.
  • He asks what they’re celebrating: the lawsuit, scandal or the fact that he signed over the hotel.
  • Q35: We’re celebrating you. For opening you heart to your mother. And me. For being the woman who encouraged you to do it.–Blair
  • Sweet but Blair still has to sneak her ego into it. Ugh/
  • They kiss.
  • Elizabeth answers her door. It’s Jack and the lawyer.
  • Q36: “Do we have ourselves a hotel?” “We do.”–Jack and Elizabeth
  • Fade to black.
  • Yikes! So Elizabeth is his mom but is working with Jack to screw Chuck. Unless there will be some double-backstabbing going on.
  • Preview: Nate says “Two words: role play,” cut to Vanessa dressed up for Dan like an old-fashioned housewife. The narrator says “There’s  high fashion, high-class call girls, and just plain high” as Agnes struts on a runway, the call girl from earlier this season is back (I forget her name), Blair says “Prostitutes are people, too,”  Jenny asks if someone put something in her drink, Agnes tells the guys holding a clearly drugged-Jenny to show her a good time, a bunch of rapid clips with the words “Let The Games Begin” intercut, Blair says, “If it’s a war Jack wants, then it’s a war he’ll get.”

Those are my thoughts. What’s yours?
