Second Annual 90210 Evaluation

30 05 2010

With the One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl evaluations complete (results for GG will be posted later today), the last set before the final match-up is 90210.

You have until Tuesday at 11:59pm to answer the polls.

**Please remember your answers should be based solely on the season that just ended, except for the last question, which is about the show overall.**

Note: The format is wonky for the open-ended questions.  Please put your answer in the “other” space.

Sara Foster On Doing 90210

21 05 2010

“I’m really happy in the show. There’s no villain like Jen. She’s the complete, manipulative villain from hell. We’re starting the third season next month and it’s such a fun character. I’d like to keep doing it for another couple of seasons but I do love making movies.”

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Navid and Ade! I thought you said they are getting back together, but she’s so cozy with the Javier guy and the season finale is this week. -Michelle

From what I understand, she’ll be ending it with Javier on Tuesday, her heart belongs to West Bev’s most popular Persian Jew! And, p.s., I don’t believe Silver and Teddy’s break up will last either. Unfortunately for Dixon, however, he’s going to make the mistake of telling Ivy about that drunken kiss he shared with E.S. and it won’t go over so well.

Are Harry and Debbie getting a divorce? -Melanie Simpson

I’m hearing, yes.

Any “90210” scoop? -JP

Naomi’s white lie about being asleep when she was really in her new junk-mobile, driving to spy on Jen, is the last straw for Liam. He’s kicking her to the curb and bringing Annie on his boat’s maiden voyage… much to Jasper’s psychotic dismay.

Who is the father of Jen’s baby? -Matt

A surprise package that is delivered to Mr. Ryan Matthews this week seems to indicate that he is. Sadly, the way he reacts to the news could have disastrous repercussions.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girl and More

14 05 2010
  • Media Life has an interesting article on state of The CW, its success in the past year (including why Gossip Girl and 90210 are considered successful when their total live audience numbers suggest otherwise) and how it might approach the 2010-2011 season. The article also says there is speculation both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected will return, which is the same speculation we heard yesterday. And let me put emphasis on the word “speculation.”
  • Kristin also reports that OTH and LUX could get a 12 or 13 episode order but cautions “no final decisions have been made.”
  • Gossip Cop and I busted a Hollywood Life story claiming Torrey DeVitto (Carrie, One Tree Hill) and Paul Wesley (Donnie, The O.C.) “got secretly married.” They haven’t.
  • Generation Y, featuring Daniella Alonso (Anna, One Tree Hill), has been ordered as a series by ABC.
  • NBC ordered three series with teen drama connections: Friends With Benefits, starring Danneel Harris (Rachel, One Tree Hill), Outlaw, previously called Justice and created by John Eisendrath (executive producer, Beverly Hills 90210), and Harry’s Law, previously called Kindreds and featuring Brittany Snow (Young Lily, Gossip Girl).
  • Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) worked with Soles4Souls today to aid those affected in Nashville by the floods.
  • Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) received the Sparkling Performance Award at last night’s Young Hollywood Awards, which were also attended by Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210), Snow, Wesley and Nikki Reed (Sadie, The O.C.) and possibly other teen drama stars.
  • Stroup has a new pixie haircut and spoke to PEOPLE.com about it.
  • Gossip Cop busted rumors that Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl) are back together. They are NOT…but anything is possible down the road.
  • NBC canceled Mercy, which starred Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina, Gossip Girl) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek).
  • PEOPLE.com reports Michelle Williams (Jen, Dawson’s Creek) is in “active negotiations” to play Marilyn Monroe in a movie.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Question: You said that one of the “possible fatalities” in your May Sweeps Scorecard is reserved for a Gossip Girl character. You weren’t talking about Lily, right? —Fernanda
Ausiello:
No, I wasn’t talking about Lily. The victim in question is *a*e.

Question: What’s with all the Taylor Momsen/Gossip Girl drama? Will she be back next season at all? —Allo
Ausiello:
Not sure what drama you’re referring to, but per my original story, she’ll be MIA only for the first part of next season. My prediction: Jenny will make a dramatic return at the start of November sweeps!

Question: What is really up with Jen on 90210? —Fernando R.
Ausiello:
I believe you’ll get your answer next Tuesday.

RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Hey Korbi. So the evil Jen Clark is back in Beverly Hills, as you warned. What’s the big thing she’s hiding? -Melanie

An expanding belly. I mean, maybe she’s just been stress eating. Or, perhaps, she’s pregnant … with the baby of someone we know.

I was kind of annoyed to see Liam forgive Naomi on “90210” because those two have no chemistry. -KT

Then you’ll be pleased to hear that Liomi isn’t long for this world. He may have said he forgives her, but I’m hearing that the last straw is right around the corner.

And, p.s., when stepdaddy dearest notices that those crazy expensive coins are missing, it’s Annie whom Liam will turn to for support.

Have we finally seen the last of psycho Jasper? -Beav

Nope! Jasper — or as I like to call him, Emily Valentine 2.0 — won’t go quietly. And he may even take a page from E.V. when it comes to revenge plots. You’ll see.

Any scoop on No Drama Adrianna? -Jeff M.

Ade’s going to start dating a musician pretty soon. His name is Javier and things between them will heat up quickly — and then burn out. I believe a reunion with Navid is in the cards before the season ends.

So is this Silver-Teddy thing finally fizzling thanks to Ryan O’Neal? -Michele

Teddy’s dad — played by TV legend Ryan O’Neal, yes — will do his best to mess things up, but ultimately, I think Silver and Teddy work it out. This looks like it could be a long-term relationship … though I am hearing something about a Dixon-Silver kiss in the near future.

While I don’t quite think Jasper is Emily Valentine 2.0, feel free to read my interview with her alter-ego, Christine Elise.
