11 12 2009- A few teen drama females are in the running for E! Online’s Girl on Top tournament.
- According to Ausiello, Gossip Girl is casting a a new character–presumably a new love interest for Eric (Connor Paolo).
- The new issue of Soap Opera Weekly has an interview with Amanda Setton (Penelope, Gossip Girl). Have you read my interview with her?
- Haley (One Tree Hill), Jim & Cindy Walsh (Beverly Hills 90210) and Sandy ( The O.C.) are part of SoapNet’s 20 Things We’re Grateful For.
- TVGuide.com named Annie and Jasper’s apparent break-up on this week’s 90210 as one of its Coolest Moments.
- Scott Patterson has joined the cast of 90210 as Jack, father to Liam (Matt Lanter, 90210). Oddly enough, Dylan’s father on BH90210 was also named Jack. According to the Los Angeles Times, Patterson was originally considered last year (at least by the media) for the role of Harry (Rob Estes).
- The new issue of Soap Opera Digest has a feature comparing the old 90210 with the new but I haven’t actually seen it yet.
- I found the video of the interview where Hilary Swank (Carly, Beverly Hills 90210) talks about her departure from the show.
- EW.com complimented Ian Ziering (Steve, Beverly Hills 90210) for his performance in Christmas Hope, which airs on the Lifetime Movie Network on Sunday.
- Another EW.com holiday movie pick stars Elisa Donovan (Ginger, Beverly Hills 90210) and Dean Cain (Rick, Beverly Hills 90210). Cain is also on the list a second time.
- And yet another is a James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) one which airs tonight on LMN.
- The O.C.’s first season was an “honorable mention” in the Star-Ledger’s Best of the 00’s in TV.

7 12 2009- Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) and husband Peter Facinelli are on the cover of PEOPLE’s special holiday extra edition. PEOPLE.com has a video from the photo shoot.
- Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) and mom Candy Spelling have reportedly reconciled.
- Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210) is featured in a new video for The Killers. Interestingly enough (but I’m sure not purposefully), it somewhat echoes the season 5 episode where Dylan revisits his past lives.
- Perry, Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210), Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill), Joshua Jackson (Pacey, Dawson’s Creek) and Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) made AOL’s list of the Top 50 Teen Idols. Perry ranks the best at number 7, while CMM is at 13, Crawford came in at 17 with Priestley right after at 18 and Jackson sits at number 20 while McKenzie is at 31. Also on the list is John Schneider who recently played Liam’s step-dad on 90210.
- Ryan Eggold (Ryan, 90210) is included in PEOPLE.com’s Sexy at Every Age photo gallery.
- AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was on The Tonight Show last week and Jessica Stroup (Silver, 90210) was on Rachael Ray.
- Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that he’s filmed 3 episodes for his appearance on the new 90210.

27 11 2009- On Monday, Beverly Hills 90210 will start from the beginning on SoapNet during the 5pm time slot and no longer air at 6pm. The morning episodes will continue with season 3.

18 11 2009- Monday’s One Tree Hill (2.6 million viewers) dropped ever so slightly and Gossip Girl (2.2 million viewers) dropped a bit more in the ratings compared to last week.
- Last night’s 90210 ( 2.1 million viewers) stayed the same in the ratings compared to last week.
- For some reason, this week (both Monday and Tuesday) The CW only had 94 percent coverage instead of 95 percent. But I’m not sure how much difference that actually makes in the ratings. I’ve been told it was 94 prior to this season so it’s possible that will be the norm again.
- The CW sent out a press release, however, touting this week’s ratings for all 3 shows, as well as how the network did overall during the sweeps period as well for this season in general compared to last year.
- It was comforting to read the comments on EW.com’s 90210 recap and see many other original fans with similar complaints to the Jackie-Kelly storyline as I have.
- TV Guide Magazine has a spoiler-filled interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210).
- Greg Vaughan (Cliff, Beverly Hills 90210) tweeted that his new role on 90210 will begin in January and that it is recurring.
- Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210) is reportedly dating Rihanna.
- Zimbio has an interesting look at the hairstyle Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) had at the New Moon premiere.
- PEOPLE.com and EW.com have brief recaps of Kellan Lutz (George, 90210) appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.
- Kristin has major spoilers for Gossip Girl.

10 11 2009- Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
- Last night’s One Tree Hill (2.7 million viewers rounded up) and Gossip Girl (2.4 million viewers rounded up) saw a great increase in the ratings compared to last week. One Tree Hill matched its season-high, and The CW sent out a press release touting that and Gossip Girl’s increases in the key demographics.
- Examiner.com has an interview with Austin Nichols (Julian, One Tree Hill). I love what he says about The Notebook. It’s both kind of sweet in an idealistic way and funny in a realistic way. By the way, have you read my interview with Nichols?
- MTV picked up The Notebook comments as well. It’s even more interesting when you consider that Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley, One Tree Hill) is adapting the movie into a musical. That’s what Lee Norris (Mouth) was referring to in our interview.
- The One Tree Hill Connection has a new podcast with an interview with Mike Grubbs of WakeyWakey who played, um, Grubbs in last night’s episode.
- PEOPLE.com has a poll asking if the Gossip Girl threesome was “too sexy or too safe.”
- The Parents Television Council released a new statement in response to the episode.
- I really enjoyed TVGuideMagazine.com‘s take on the threesome and Variety has an interesting comparison to Two and a Half Men.
- Gossip Girl has been nominated for Favorite TV Obsession and Blake Lively (Serena) was nominated for Favorite TV Drama Actress in the People’s Choice Awards, where fans actually vote for the winners.
- In case you missed my coverage, Dawson’s Creek: The Complete Series was released on DVD today. They also finally updated the Web site!
- Just noticed that James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek) tweeted about the Chad Michael Murray (Charlie, Dawson’s Creek; Lucas, One Tree Hill) comments at the Paley panel.
- In advance of its January premiere, EW.com is already telling readers to watch Life UneXpected, which stars Kerr Smith (Jack, Dawson’s Creek).
- Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.) says he tried doing his own singing for Jennifer’s Body but they didn’t like his voice.

6 11 2009- The New York Post has an interesting but short piece on creating the perfect CW show.
- The One Tree Hill Twitter account posted an adorable picture of Jackson Brundage (Jamie).
- EW.com has an article analyzing the Gossip Girl-Parents Television Council standoff–specifically, what’s at stake and what’s likely to happen.
- The Knoxville CW affiliate has gone on the record saying they will air the GG episode.
- New York Magazine also noticed that Gossip Girl stole the “if it walks like a duck” line from Beverly Hills 90210.
- According to TVShowsonDVD.com, the ninth season of Beverly Hills 90210 will be released on February 2. They also have a peek at the cover art. Don’t forget–season 8 comes November 24!
- The Futon Critic has a great recap of the Dawson’s Creek Paley panel. Digital Spy also has an article and the L.A. Times briefly mentioned it in an article on The Vampire Diaries. (Gossip Girl and 90210 are also name-checked.)
