- Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl), Sebastian Stan (Carter, Gossip Girl), Michael Cassidy (Zach, The O.C.) and whoever else was in the running for Captain America have not gotten the part. 2 03 2010- Have you taken the TDW Survey yet?
- Be sure to check out The CW’s site for all the new video content this week.
- PEOPLE.com has 90210 spoilers.
- SF Weekly has a great feature called Ten Bands That Have Rocked 90210, highlighting memorable music moments from Beverly Hills 90210 and 90210.
- ABC’s Dancing With The Stars bio for Shannen Doherty (Brenda, Beverly Hills 90210) mentions she’ll be paired with Mark Ballas and she has a book called Bad Ass coming out.
- Kristin and PopWrap have very spoilish interviews with Stephanie Savage (executive producer, Gossip Girl). She also makes a comparison to The O.C., which she also EPed.
- Kellan Lutz (George, 9021o), Ed Westwick (Chuck, Gossip Girl), Josh Schwartz (creator, Gossip Girl; The O.C.), and Paul Wesley (Donnie, The O.C.) were named Fun Fearless Males for 2010 by Cosmopolitan.
- Don’t believe this Hollywood Life “exclusive” that Westwick is buying a house for Jessica Szohr (Vanessa, Gossip Girl). Gossip Cop (full disclosure: my current employer) says it’s not true.
- EW.com has an interview with Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) about Southland with a subtle dig at The O.C.
- TVGuideMagazine.com posted a feature article on McKenzie. This may be the one in the magazine. This one has a nicer comment about The O.C.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The O.C. and More
24 02 2010- E! Online spoke with CW head honcho Dawn Ostroff about the chances of Life Unexpected and Melrose Place being renewed. Unfortunately, One Tree Hill wasn’t discussed–or, if it was, it wasn’t include in the article.
- WECT and Star News report a CBS pilot will be filmed at Screen Gems Studios this spring, the same place that houses the One Tree Hill sets. One Tree Hill should be finished filming for the season by then but I’m not sure they’d be affected anyway. (I don’t know how big Screen Gems is but it’s noteworthy that only one major series has filmed there at a time–first Dawson’s Creek and then One Tree Hill.) Also keep in mind that where a pilot films isn’t necessarily where the series will film, if it is indeed ordered as a series.
- WECT also has an article on Wilmington’s “film industry” being stable “with or without One Tree Hill.”
- Deadline Hollywood and The Hollywood Reporter both say Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) and Michael Cassidy (Zach, The O.C.) are in the running to play Captain American. I’ve seen rumors recently that Chad Michael Murray (Lucas, One Tree Hill) and Rob Buckley (Clay, One Tree Hill) were also being considered but I didn’t post them because they were just that–rumors, and from sites whose credibility I couldn’t vouch for. These two sites, however, I frequent regularly and are well-respected in the entertainment news industry.
- Chuck/Blair (Gossip Girl), Nate/Blair (Gossip Girl) and Ryan/Marissa (The O.C.) are the only teen drama couples remaining in E! Online’s TV’s Top Couples tournament. (David/Donna and Dylan/Brenda, both of Beverly Hills 90210, were eliminated.)
- Josh Schwartz (creator/executive producer, Gossip Girl; The O.C.) is reportedly working on a remake of the film Endless Love.
- There is an article on Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan, The O.C.) in the new issue of TV Guide Magazine.
- Dawson’s Creek is included in TVGuide.com’s TV’s Biggest Blunders photogallery for losing sexual “tension a-plenty when its lead characters hooked up.”

News Roundup: Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill and More
12 02 2010- The Wrap has an article giving their renewal/cancellation predictions but the teen dramas aren’t included. (Though the article starts out with quotes from Gossip Girl executive producer Josh Schwartz giving his thoughts on being a “bubble show.” He’s talking in reference to his other show, Chuck, though.) They think Smallville will return, Life Unexpected should be given another chance and Melrose Place needs a miracle.
- E! Online is holding a TV’s Top Couples Tournament and you can help narrow down the list of possible contenders. You can vote for Chuck/Blair (Gossip Girl), Dan/Serena (Gossip Girl), Dan/Vanessa (Gossip Girl), Nate/Blair (Gossip Girl), Nate/Jenny (Gossip Girl), Nate/Serena (Gossip Girl), Nate/Vanessa (Gossip Girl), David/Donna (Beverly Hills 90210), Dylan/Brenda (Beverly Hills 90210), Brandon/Kelly (Beverly Hills 90210), Lucas/Brooke (One Tree Hill), Nathan/Haley (One Tree Hill), Pacey/Joey (Dawson’s Creek), Ryan/Marissa (The O.C.), Ryan/Taylor (The O.C.), or Seth/Summer (The O.C.).
- Dan and Serena (Gossip Girl) ranked third on Television Without Pity’s list of Worst Romantic Relationships on TV.
- HealthNewsDigest.com has an interview with Lori Loughlin about being the spokeswoman for Voices of Meningitis.
- The Mansfield News Journal has an article on Luke Perry (Dylan, Beverly Hills 90210).
- The Globe and Mail has an article on Jason Priestley (Brandon, Beverly Hills 90210) and his new show, Meet Phil Fitz.
- You can watch Jennie Garth (Kelly, Beverly Hills 90210) in a bunch of videos for Garden Party.
- Mike Grubbs (Grubbs, One Tree Hill) has picked a winner for our Wakey!Wakey! contest. He will announce it publicly on his blog in the coming days.
- Grubbs posted a video of himself and India de Beaufort (Miranda, One Tree Hill) on his blog.

- Parade.com has an interview with James Van Der Beek (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek).

Spoiler: Ask Ausiello
11 02 2010RELEVANT QUESTIONS–DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!!
Question: There are never any spoilers for In Plain Sight on here. Can you change that? —Tessa
Ausiello: This is more scoop than spoiler, but singer-songwriter Liz Phair has been tapped as the composer for the new season (debuting March 31). Liz previously served as a composer on 90210, Swingtown, and The Beautiful Life. Who knew? Not me.
Question: How about some scoop about Gossip Girl that doesn’t have to do with Blair and Chuck? I want to know what’s going to happen with the gorgeous coupling of Nate and Serena! —Ann
Ausiello: Sounds like lots of crazy sex is going to happen. Exec producer Josh Schwartz teased via Twitter yesterday that the pair will be getting it on “in the closet, on the kitchen floor… 9 1/2 Weeks in 9 1/2 seconds.” And in case you missed it, here’s the new (and somewhat) spoilery GG trailer.

(circa Theresa’s pregnancy in season 1) or a news program on teen pregnancy and the reactions were compared. They found that “a fictional television drama may be more effective in persuading young women to use birth control.”
- The Boston Herald also has an interview with Donovan.
- Though it was interesting that Henri Lubatti (Henri-Michel, The O.C.) guest-starred on Chuck tonight, since both shows were/are executive produced by Josh Schwartz.
