Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl), Chace Crawford (Nate, Gossip Girl) and Tristan Wilds (Dixon, 90210) were all nominated for Choice TV Actor: Drama. The Choice TV Actress: Drama category featured all current and former teen drama stars: Blake Lively (Serena, Gossip Girl), Leighton Meester (Blair, Gossip Girl) and Sophia Bush (Brooke, One Tree Hill) along with Olivia Wilde (Alex, The O.C.) for House and Shailene Woodley (Kaitlin, The O.C.) for The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Badgley and Adam Brody (Seth, The O.C.) were each nominated for Choice Movie Actor: Horror/Thriller for The Stepfather and Jennifer’s Body, respectively.
  • The CW Sourcies have begun and the first category is Best Kiss. From our shows, you can vote for Adrianna and Navid’s reunion kiss in the 90210 season finale or Haley and Nathan’s kiss in the One Tree Hill season finale after she reveals she’s pregnant.
  • SoapNet made a few changes to the Sunday teen drama schedule: The O.C. is getting two additional hours, now airing from 6-9am while Beverly Hills 90210 airs from 9am to 1pm and One Tree Hill from 3pm to 7pm. I’ve updated their show pages to reflect this.
  • MTV spoke with Kevin Zegers (Damien, Gossip Girl) about his upcoming film schedule, including The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, which will also star Hilary Duff (Olivia, Gossip Girl).
  • AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) was on the Today Show this morning.
  • Mekia Cox (Sasha, 90210) was cast in Undercovers, a new NBC series.
  • Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210) will co-host The View tomorrow, the same day her book uncharted terriTORI is released. I am planning to go to her book signing tomorrow night.
  • An excerpt from uncharted terriTORI was posted on the Today Show site.
  • Paul Johansson (Dan, One Tree Hill) is directing and starring in an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged.
  • SoapNet has a new One Tree Hill quiz called Test Your Dan Scott I.Q. I scored a 90 percent and was told “YOU’RE DANGEROUS! You know too much about Dan Scott for his comfort. Arm yourself, or take a page out of Abby Brown’s book and hightail it out of Tree Hill before he confronts you” but I don’t think all the answers are accurate.

  • AnnaLynne McCord (Naomi, 90210) is starring in the webseries Dial*. She spoke with JSYK, PopEater and TV Squad about it and a bit about 90210, with the last one being the best, in my opinion.
  • The new issue of PEOPLE features an excerpt from uncharted terriTORI, the upcoming memoir by Tori Spelling (Donna, Beverly Hills 90210). The book will be released on Tuesday. According to the description on Amazon, the book goes over Spelling “discovering her former 90210 castmates’ ‘I Hate Tori’ club.”
  • The Wrap named Lindsay Price (Janet, Beverly Hills 90210) a “show-killer,” though what they wrote isn’t entirely accurate.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and The O.C.

18 05 2010
  • In case you missed it earlier, The CW renewed One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected. They also picked up Nikita and Hellcats, and canceled Melrose Place.
  • Broadcasting & Cable has a short but interesting piece looking at the state of The CW network.
  • According to Star News, 13 episodes of One Tree Hill have been ordered. Haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere else.
  • Last night’s One Tree Hill (2 million viewers) dropped slightly and Gossip Girl (2 million viewers rounded up) rose a bit in the ratings compared to last week.
  • I have mixed thoughts on The TV Addict’s “open letter” to Mark Schwahn (creator, One Tree Hill). Most of it is irrelevant now, since OTH was renewed.
  • Korbi has an article speculating on whether Clay (Robert Buckley, One Tree Hill) and Quinn (Shantel Van Santen, One Tree Hill) survive the finale’s shooting…which to my knowledge, they do. And it’s not a true spoiler. I mean, I’m pretty positive the actors have contracts for season 8…
  • Now that season 8 is a go, Christy-Anne will be hosting another fan reunion, this time in the summer.
  • Buckley shared some of his favorite scenes in an interview with MTV.

  • Emma Caulfield (Susan, Beverly Hills 90210) is getting divorced.

News Roundup: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210 and More

21 04 2010
  • The CW sent out a press release of upcoming sweeps highlights, which Zap2it handily categorized by show. They left some things out, but all of it should be considered spoilers so consider this fair warning. If you guys want, I’ll post it all, as given in the release, in a Spoiler post. Let me know.
  • There is “We Are One” campaign to further encourage The CW to renew One Tree Hill.
  • Examiner.com has an article on the showcase Jana Kramer (Alex, One Tree Hill) had last week.
  • I’ve heard speculation for a while now that Hilarie Burton (Peyton, One Tree Hill) has been dating actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. With no legitimate outlet reporting it, I didn’t post anything on it.
